  1. Yes. of course there are no files shown as your initially sent logfiles clearly indicate that the database building process was interrupted by an Invalid BGL. Your remark here: " Good at fact in the Atlantic CFG Nantes was already in "False". Simply put I removed this addon. " was of little help, as the file Urs mentioned was not the one you were referring to and obviously have removed, Read here: "Area Nantes Atlantique, required=False, active=True, layer=236, path=M:\save de R\AddonSimulator ex R\a_French Airport\LFRS - Nantes Atlantique\Scenery" The addon path Urs mentioned here was clearly one that was ACTIVE and obviously that's the one that is still causing trouble! I'm sure that the database builder did not report that it had completed the building process. In fact after the database was properly built, the mentioned path: C:\Users\User\Documents\AivlaSoft\EFB2\Server\DbBuilder\Ready\P3Dv4NG should contain a number of files:
  2. 1) Your A/C position is not on the Departure airport 2) If a routing is entered, you simply click on the Departure airport label ("KCLT - departure" in this case), it will change to the Arrival airport label 3) To access SIDs and STARs of the routing airports you might also consider using direct access through the RSB 4) Reading the manual in some free time might also help understanding a few more features of EFB v2 ?
  3. Maybe it will allow a simple minded layman like me to understand this: what is the benefit of such information?
  4. Thank you very much, Jerry! I have made it publicy available for all users. I'm sure our community will be very pelased... ?
  5. Hi Alain, You didn't do anything wrong ?. Most probably you are experiencing the same as mentioned in this thread: https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/3185-could-not-find-any-valid-url/?tab=comments#comment-19862 There's not much we can do about this as it happens randomly within the network services.
  6. Hi Alvaro, To be honest, we are a bit unsure what can cause the error you mentioned at the beginning and with your screenshot. This kind of error has not shown up so far druing all our tests and current installations. As you are in the free trial period I would strongly recommend that you uninstall both Server and Client and start with a fresh install. Use the uninstaller from the Windows menu to make sure all files are properly removed. I take it that you install Server and Client on the same computer and use a second monitor for EFB display. Could you please also report your OS in use, whether it is Win7, 8 or 10. For your new install do not change any paths but use the default installation paths and follow the instructions in the User Guide "1 Installation". If you haven't already done so, you can download the Manuals from here prior to installation: https://www.aivlasoft.com/download/index.html After completing the Installation set up the Database according User Guide "4 Database". Once you have done all that please report here again and we will try to find out whether EFB v2 is properly set up and we can start finding any misbehaviour if still present.
  7. Hi Alvaro, I'm a bit puzzled. What you show here has nothing to do with any updates inflight. Your screenshot shows a failed Support Files Creation process. This is however something that I haven't seen so far. Are you sure that you run the Server with full Admin Rights as per requirement? Do you use any AntiVirus Software which deletes files without warning? Do you use any automatic Update Program?
  8. What is so odd about that? Each A/C type has it's limits. So at least this part is of course Aircraft Specific. Now whether you want to land with some tailwind rather than flying an approach to the opposite RWY is to some extent your decision. I could give you example of aiports from my real life experience where you would land with up to max. Tailwind Component before they are changing the operational RWY... This said, it is up to you to set the limits to your requirements, including the warning level. Green simply means that the RWY is within your A/Cs limits, with a warning level set at your discretion. This is even in real life a fully legal aspect, believe me. I fully understand your argument for the RWY selection but I can assure you that this is only valid for Simulation and even there only if your don't fly online. The rest is taken a out of your decision process as a pilot to some extent. This applies to the last part of your argument - > if available. You can of course always ask for the RWY with headwind, The only question is whether you are give a clearance to that RWY within due time... see above, and I'm not talking about some wish-wash airports of the coutryside... An aircraft can always be operated within its limits. This also applies to the tailwind component. Whether you want to set the warning level to a lower percentage is purely your decision. The figures used in the default profiles are - as the wording says - default figures and in no way connected to the Holy Grail ? They are simply based on Real Wold Experience.
  9. The answer to your question is here: https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/2882-why-is-there-no-flight-plan-export-anymore/
  10. Hi Darren, Good to know. So far I haven't heard of this issue. IMHO no program should OVERWRITE any original BGLs, however I can imagine the reason for it. Most probably AI traffic guidance is now affected, when you removed this "My Traffic" AFCAD. There is however a workaround for such cases, which is described in the User Manual "Database", Chapter # 2.7. In this special case it would be sufficient to make a copy of the ORIGINAL FlyTampa EKCH AFCAD BGL, rename it EKCH.BGL, copy it into the AFCAD folder of the Server Document Structure: C:\Users\<Username>\Documents\AivlaSoft\EFB2\Server\AFCAD and re-run the database builder. This way the "original" EKCH.BGL will be used for drawing the Ground Map and all installed or renamed BGLs of the scenery Installation remain untouched and are used within the Simulator.
  11. Hi Alvaro, There is no "free Version" of EFB v2. There's only a free trial period. The software is identical. If I understand you correctly, you have EFB v2 up and running, and suddenly the Client's Splash Window appears and the Client is "reloading"? This can only happen if the connection to the Server is lost and then reinstated again. This is of course not "normal" but it may point to a connection problem between Server and Client. We need some more information about the installation such as: - Simulator Type, installation local or remote, Build Number # of Server and Client. Best thing would be that you reproduce this behaviour, then shutdown both Server and Client and create a "Support File" according this: https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/3046-how-to-create-a-support-file/ and attach it here or send it to support@aivlasoft.com
  12. Hi Mark, Yes, EFB v1 and V2 can work alongside without any problems, as long as you use the default installation paths. This ensures proper separation of all modules. Thank you for your kind words about our work. A minimum requirement for a certain software defines an equipment on which which it runs without problems. This does of course no imply that it wouldn't run on other (lower) equipment. Minimum Requirements are also a statement to cope with the present situation on the hardware- and OS market. We are just not in the position to check all other combinations of earlier hard- and software, as e.g. Windows Vista vs. Windows 7. We simply do not have the systems to check out such equipment anymore. In this context it becomes obvious that the minimum equipment is what we can test and warrant for proper functionality. It does however not necessarily mean that it won't run on other combinations. We just can't give a guarantee as we are unable to test it.
  13. Harald, FSUIP is not part of FSX. It is however a very popular add-on and compulsory for use of EFB v2. See also User Guide "Installation", Chapter 1.2.3 FSUIPC.dll for the download link and information about the required version. The Payware version is not required, Freeware Version is sufficient. Please also note that due to the fact that this is an international forum, communication in English is required.
  14. Please observe the Forum Rules. LSZH is the default location. If EFB v2 is started the first time, the symbol is located at this airport. However as soon as you have started the Simulator (and it has properly connected to EFB v2) the symbol will of course move to the departure airport. It seems that your Simulator has no connection to EFB v2. What Simulator do you use? Do you have installed FSUIPC?
  15. Accroding to your log the connection is obviously crammed by numerous tries to download a METAR by the Server. Therefore you need to fix the ActiveSky path first or delete the wrong entry!
  16. Sorry, Mario, why do you ignore what I said about ActiveSky Path? You have entered the WRONG PATH for ACTIVE SKY in the Server Settings ! The path must point to the "current_wx_snapshot.txt" file ! Let's assume that you have a standard installation for ActiveSky: then it will be: C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Roaming\Hifi\AS_P3Dv4\Weather\current_wx_snapshot.txt The server is not interested in the ActiveSky program location. It needs the location of the "current_wx_snapshot.txt" file as mentioned in the text!
  17. BTW, what path do you have stored for AtiveSky weather access? According to the the server log this is: " 2018-08-25 19:28:48.747 Debug : File = C:\Program Files (x86)\HiFi\AS_P3Dv4\AS_P3Dv4.exe " which is the wrong path! You should enter the path for the "current_wx_snapshot.txt" file. This is in a completely different location. Check your ActiveSky manual. This way you will nto get any weather output from ActiveSky.
  18. Oh, please keep calm and observe our forum rules. Of course Jonas knows exactly how a Navdata Update works. The fact that it didn't work on your side simply means that something went wrong on your side. Believe me, there have thousands of Navdata Updates been done for EFB v2. Please start the Database Builder and select the "Update Navdata" Tab. This should show the following picture (just showing the data for Navigraph instead of Aerosoft): Check if the line "Cycle Information" really shows the newly installed Navadata Cycle. If not then the Navdata is not correctly installed. Otherwise click "Start Import" and the Database will be merged to the Navdata. Thereafter the Server and the Client will show the new Cycle.
  19. I'm sorry, we can't do anything with that little information. Please start up Server, Client and Simulator and thereafter create a "Support File" and post it in this thread, see here: https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/3046-how-to-create-a-support-file/ And as I said, a screenshot of the Client would also be extremely helpful.
  20. LLBG? Are you sure? Usually the Default airport is LSZH Zurich and not LLBG Tel Aviv Ben Gurion... Did you see any warnings displayed ath the top right corner of the Client? Was the Simulator running at this time? A screenshot along with the respective logfiles would be EXTREMELY helpful!
  21. Jerry, just as a sidenote, I would first disable FS Aerodata completey, do a rebuild of the database and check for availability of the ILS'es with REAL default data. Thereafter you can still reinstall FS Aerodata.
  22. To me it seems that during the creation process of the database some data are lost. In the case of KATL no ILS information get recorded, although there are quite a few...? (see picture, also from default KATL in P3D V4). Could it be that an automatic backup system or an aggressive AV program cause havoc? In any case, the Server log will be interesting for some more clues. So, in fact the ILS approaches are not missing, but for any (so far) unknown reason they are not showing up on your system. We surely will find the reason, sooner or later ?
  23. Move the symbol to the Quickstart bar. Why would you want to start the Client without the Server anyway?
  24. Hi Randy, We will have to investigate. We might need some more details. Build # of Server and Client, do you use any Add-on for EDDF? With Aerosoft's EDDF and NavDataPro 1809 however all looks normal.
