  1. It's not a bug, it's a feature: https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/3121-pressing-a-certain-key-on-the-alpha-or-numeric-keyboard-is-not-recognized/
  2. Yes, I can confirm that this is a bug. Storing of fractions is not possible. Only storing full digits. Everything smaller than 0.9 is interpreted as 0, also for the other zoom settings. It makes sense for the larger (world map) zoom levels, but not for the airport layout.
  3. Sorry, there is no "filter" button in the procedure windows. What exactly do you mean with your remark? Perhaps you might want to check the User Guide "5 Client", Chapter 5.1.3 PRFL Filter?
  4. Indeed, once you have dragged a window to a new position and have closed it at least once, then they will be stored permanently at the new position.
  5. Why don't you use this option? it's also available on Client start without Server. A bit of Manual reading is always helpful...? As a general rule when using a remote Client you should work with a fixed IP adress on your server's computer.
  6. Well, I think this is more a question whether you do VFR flights or SIGHTSEEING flights. The latter is definitely not what EFB v2 offers, as there is no database for any landmarks or special items around the world. For VFR however you basically need terrain data and a routing, which can be checked against your actual flight path. Setting up a routing is very easy as you can enter any custom waypoint along your route (e.g. some points within a valley, some remarkable cities, airports, airfields etc. That's exactly what you would do on a real VFR flight. You would set up a routing/flightplan on a map with individual legs to be followed by heading/time to reach your final destination and avioding conflicting terrain on the way to your destination. For easier identification of your final destination (which is not always easy in the simulator) you can even set up a 3, 5 or 8 NM final point of your final destination if required. But that's admittently already going a bit too far for pure VFR flying. Fl<ing overhead the destination airport/field and commencing the pattern from there or from a custom set abeam waypoint is the more convenient and usefeul way. But that's all possible in EFB v2.
  7. it's all described here: https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/2813-could-not-reach-any-date-server-port-13/
  8. Neal, first of all let me say that KHFR does not exist on my EFB v2 either because the ICAO code for Friday Harbor is KFHR ?, but that's just a sidenote. Of course all those airports are there. If they are in your simulator, they they will be in your EFB v2. There is still a problem with your database not being set up correctly. It is indeed very difficult to find out what is going on in your EFB v2 installation, but just be sure as long as the airports are in your simulator they will be in your EFB v2 database, IF the latter is set up correctly. Frankly, it sounds a bit strange to claim EFB v2 for not working correctly if a very large number of other EFB v2 installations do so. So, as a first step please delete your current EFB v2 database. To do so, start the DatabaseBuilder, select the database and press "Delete". then close Server and Client. I take it that in the meantime you have updated your Server and Client to the newest builds (Server #57, Client #74). I would recommend to reboot your computer bevore yout start anything new, however it is not a requirement. Now start the Server and follwow the steps for a new basic database creation. After completion please make a set of Suppport Files and send it to support@aivlasoft.com or publish it here. We need to know what is going on when you do a complete build of a new database. Something is definitely going wrong, but I can't say that just by the snip of my fingers...?
  9. Neal, don't worry, we'll find out. Just a shot in the dark: did you read the FAQ here: https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/2843-how-to-get-a-discount-as-a-recurring-customer/ and made sure that the length of the transmitted key was EXACTLY 31? Cleverbridge (their computer that is) are very picky When it comes to identify such things ?
  10. Have you ever considered reading the Client's User Guide, Chapter 12.2? It's all in there...?
  11. Hmm, a dual boot configuration with twice the same OS? So you will be running either FSX:SE under Win10 in one boot configuration and P3D under Win10 in another? This makes not too much sense to me. Even more so that you will probably require two licenses because you need two different Server installs. Not sure whether this will run on one common license. The Client however is of no problem. It can be installed as many times as you like as long as you can get it connected to the respective Server.
  12. What screen setup? (1 or 2 screens). What Graphics Card? Which driver? Maybe an outdated graphics driver?
  13. Neal, no reinstall necessary. Are you familiar with creating Support Files? If not, please read here: https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/3046-how-to-create-a-support-file/ If you don't want to post the files here, please send it to support@aivlasoft.com Urs will take care of the problem. I'm sure we will find the culprit ?
  14. Just to be accurate: the green line is the ACTUAL Ground Track. The two arrows on the A/C -Ambient WCA depiction are actually the same as on the World Map, if you have CMPS and VCT activated.
  15. Neal, To shorten this a bit, please do the following: - start EFB v2 Server and Client - start Prepar3D v4 (I think that's the one you have in use) with the A/C of your choice at the Departure Airport for your desired routing This should result in: Your desired A/C positioned on your desired Departure Airport, with the profile selected for the A/C in use (unless you have selected an A/C that has no profile in the default collection of EFB v2, then the Default Profile would be selected) . Now CREATE a routing from THAT airport to any destination of your liking and report, if possible with a screenshot.
  16. Same result: No problems, as you can see in the screenshot I cannot confirm this either. After restarting the Client the newly selected units remain displayed. You might however have noticed that the units are only applicable to certain items like Weather, Aircraft etc. and after selecting a new unit you need to give EFB v2 the chance to save your new selection by pressingthe "Apply" button.
  17. Sounds very strange to me.I have quickly loaded the B777 at KLAS and made a simple setup KLAS-KSAN. No error displayed. ...
  18. Actually it is not that service, but the one in the next line which would literally translate "publishing of resources". This is the service responsible for publising the Computer's name on the network, as Nigel descriebed it in one of his screenshots. It is one of the unresolved mysteries of Win10 Build #1803 that this service is not set to "automatic". Even more so as if set to automatic it doesn't start reliably each time. It has however no influence on a TCP/IP connection. Publication of resources is important for "normal" networking e.g. for what I'm trying to achieve for a simple peer-to-peer network, but direct acces via IP address is not hampered by this service. I did a few tests with all services shut down. Server/Client connection of EFB v2 worked nevertheless.
  19. Well, I can't confirm this. I run three Clients of EFB v2 in total, each on a different configuration. One on the server's (and Simulator's) computer, one on a Laptop connected to my private network via WLAN and one connected by a LAN cable to my "big" Simulation machine. Whether internet is available on the network or not has no influence. All four computers are running on Win10 (#1803 build). I have indeed a few problems to setup my former peer-to-peer configuration. So far I haven't got any valid configuration for that. Nevertheless TCP/IP connection of any Client is not hampered by this. All computers (except the Laptop) are running on a fixed IP address. Only the Laptop is using the DCHC Server's address pool. I have none of the above mentioned problems and can connect each Client any time to any Server by entering the correct IP address. IHMO all is depending on a proper and correct (fixed) IP address setup.
  20. No sure whatyou mean. This is the depiction of wind and WCA: Magenta line ist the A/C Heading (297°), Green line is the Ground Track (308°). Difference is WCA, in this example 011° to the left.
  21. Yes, you are right, some programs RECOMMEND RWY and PROC, however think of storing a routing for multiple use. From my own long time experience in the airline business I know that flying the same routing daily for one week you will have used all possible combinations of RWYs, SIDs and STARs for these two airports...? As a consequence it doesn't make too much sense to store procedures.
  22. Sorry, to step in here: you are still talking of that folder: "C:\Users\Peter\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\FSLabs", right? You stated that you have installed the FSLabs A320/319 on a different partition. So why is this folder still there? I doubt that this folder contains anything substancial for the FSL A320/319. The FSL Installer, when intstallation is pointed to another than the default folder (as the abovementioned would be), does NOT put anything ino that folder, not even - like others do - a simple folder containing the respective "add-on.XML". It makes a package entry into add-on.cfg. That's all it needs. The "add-on.xml" for the FSL A320/319 is in the main installation folder of FSL. That's where the package enty directs its information to. So, as a conclusion, IMHO this mentioned folder contains residual information from a previous install and shouldn't be there anymore. You could do a check by temporarily drag this folder out of its place to the desktop (make sure you MOVE it rather than COPY it onto your desktop) and run the FSL Buses. My bet is that, if the install in the other partition is really valid, the Buses will run normally.
  23. Ah ok, I have overlooked that within the whole description. Are you sure that VTBS is available as default in FSX:SE? AFAIK it was not available in FSX and it is also not available in P3D v4. There is only VTBD Bagkok Intl available...
