  1. Hi unknown?? (please observe the Forum Rules) Please reboot your computer and report whether the issue has gone. Please report the Operating system. Win 10? Please attach the Support Files. https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/3046-how-to-create-a-support-file/
  2. Hi Paul, Thank you for your valuable contribution! Anyone in the community using Bullguard Firewall might certainly benefit from your troubleshooting guide.
  3. Hi Jason and Paul, Well, that's one of the main poblems we are facing all the time. Every user is of course free to use any software of any kind at any time. But - and this is especially true for firewalls and AV software - if this software is playing havoc to EFB v2, we can impossibly do any troubleshooting from a distance, even worse we cannot do any analyzig of the trouble on your computer. What we know is that the mentioned message (a .NET system message) can be generated by either firewall problems or missing user rights. Therefore also Urs' hint to always run the Server with full admin rights must also be observed. In case of the firewall it is of course ultimately neccesary to make sure the used TCP port number is freely accessible and not locked by the firewall. We will be very interested on the outcome of your investigations.
  4. Wayne, As I could see, the main problem was that you interrupted your last flight and still had a Flighplan/Routing active. In this case it is better to delete the Flightplan/Routing before you start the Simulator. Furthermore it seems that you use an A/C which is not defined in one of the profiles. Therefore the default profile will be loaded. you might want to look at the manual how change or setup a profile. See manual "5 Client", chapter 12.2 "Profiles Editor".
  5. Wayne, What you sent here are the EXE-FILES ! Those are program files that will run when creating Support Files! Please read here: https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/3046-how-to-create-a-support-file/ The Support Files are in ZIP Format and will be created on your Desktop! And just to make sure: are you running EFB v2 with full admin rights? BTW your partial screenshot shows that the A/C is inflight and a routing is active!
  6. Mentioning a new Win 10 update, are you talking about Build #1809? To me it seems that in both cases access to the TCP port 51748 was denied. Could it be that your firewall settings are restricting it? For the moment it looks a bit strange as this didn't happen before. Socket errors usually are cleared by a reboot. So if this continues after rebooting it must be something new.
  7. Hi Jason, Ths socket error sounds a bit strange as it appears after some data have been downloaded already. It is very difficult to say which of the events triggered it. It looks as if there were a few actions happening simultaneously. Although not directly necessary, I would recommend to start one program after the other. ActiveSky also produced a warning and it seems that it has been started later at the very time of the socket error. So as a first remedy you need to reboot your computer as socket errors sometimes remain locked throughout the OS session. Please report whether this has been successful.
  8. Hi Alfredo, There are two possibilities for DME-ARCs: 1. If they are included in a procedure, tuey will be displayed properly 2. If you wish to insert any disance circle around a andom waypoint or navaid, just rightclick the desired WYP/NAV and select "Create Distance Circle" from the dropdown menu. A window will then pop up where you can enter the distance and - if needed, a radial. You don't need to confirm anything, just close the window if you're done.
  9. Ok, the infornation I cited was from Oct 8th, and this was still related to the restricted release. Nevertheless it seems that MS will be having another go on their #1809 build. This time a better one, I hope ?
  10. Hi ??? (please observer the Forum Rules) The behaviour that you describe sounds a bit strange to me. I just ran a test on this. After having waited for a few up weather updates by the server I have checked the resepctive timestamps on both the Wx Window and the (i) window, I have also checked this on TWO Clients, one of them being networked. There was no difference at all. All timestamps were equal i.e. all windows were updated regularly. The problem of missing X-Wind ot T/H headwind components is not related to this. I however presume that the wind comditions were reported as variable (vrb). With this indication no such components can and will be reported. It is somewhat difficult to say what has happened on your client. What is your configuration? Server and Client on the same machine or networked? If you happen to see the same again please submit the Support Files for further investigation. Thank you.
  11. Redstone 5 (Build #1809) is not yet a publicly released Version. This is the latest info released by Microsoft: Notice: October 8, 2018: We have paused the rollout of the Windows 10 October 2018 Update (version 1809) for all users as we investigate isolated reports of users missing some files after updating. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We will provide an update when we resume updating customers. For reference, please see Windows 10 update history for additional information. Redstone 5 is only released to Win Insider Fast and Slow Ring. We will have to wait for a final solution by Microsoft.
  12. Please read here: https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/3046-how-to-create-a-support-file/
  13. Hi Michael, That's correct. Checklists are not synchronized between clients. For the time being you need to copy the Checklist TXT File to your remote Client(s). After restarting the Client the Checklist should be available as the profiles are already in sync. I will check whether we can introduce checklist synchronizing between Clients too. The main problem is that synchronizing of profiles between Master and Slave(s) can only occur if all Clients are connected at the moment when a profile is alters/updated. the same would apply for files to be transferred.
  14. Hmm, that's somewhat strange. It shouldn't be grayed out anymore as soon as ONE checklist is active. At least here it works exactly like that. Could you possibly post your original XML checklist as well as the converted TXT checklist from EFB v2 Client's Document path (normally at: C:\Users\Username\Documents\AivlaSoft\EFB2\Client\Checklists)?
  15. Hi Michael, Do the checklist names properly show up in the selection field of the corresponding profile (see example below)?
  16. Hi Ruedi, Please post the Support files.
  17. Hi ??? (please observe the Forum Rules) There is nothing abnormal visible on the Server log, apart from the fact that the Client was connected for only approx. 5 min 30 sec and within this time it recorded 2 short hops of 42 and 7 secs respectively with the B747-400. Are you sure that this is the logfile of the flight in question? For better troubleshooting we would require the Support Files of both Server and Client.
  18. Etienne, What Urs was trying to say was that the Control Areas are not always showing up as they should (this is not limited to IVAO, but also happens on VATSIM sometimes), however - as the screenshot below clearly shows - it does depict a lot of IVAO online areas. So, your comment that they will not show up is maybe a bit too negative. The screenshot is as of today 18:32 UTC and I would presume that it shows almost all active areas. But remember, EFB V2 (as any other tool also) can only show data that are transmitted properly and faultlessly over the net.
  19. Hi Hans, Yes, my first name is Oskar and I ilve in beautiful AivlaSoft Switzerland. Thank you for your gentle words. We are here to do our best to support our customers whenever it becomes necessary - not really 24/7 - but almost...?
  20. Not sure what you mean by "not being in sync". EFB v1 and v2 do nothing else than reading the respective BGL files for ground layout supplied by the add-On developers. If those do not match the actual scenery layout there is nothing we can do about. This is solely the developers task. Unfortunately I do not have FlyTampa's EKCH installed, thus I'm not able to check the ground layout against the scenery.
  21. Hans, In the meantime I could verify the FlyTampa Ground Layout BGL. Please use the EKCH file from this thread. Download, unzip and copy it to the EFB v2 AFCAD folder and do a database rebuild. Thereafter you'll be fine with EKCH.
  22. Hans, I don't have EKCH of FlyTampa. I I understand you well, you see ALL runways on the EFB Ground map? Or is 12/30 misssing? Can you please provide a Screenshot, together with the Info (i) Page of EKCH like in the attached sample?
  23. Hi Shimon, What do you mean by "ATC"? If you select one of the two major Online Networks (AVSIM or IVAO) on the "settings" Page, you can see the active areas. To make them visible on the World Map you need to activate the O/BND (=Online Boundaries) button, on the far right.
  24. Thank you, Hans, That's ok. Urs will in this case take care of the cause for the warnings being issued. He will give his comment later in this forum.
