  1. Hi Lee, the online preview button (OTPV) is only enabled as long as the online network is not yet connected from the Route Setup page. As soon as you connect to the network the preview button is no longer enabled and it will be replaced by the traffic button (TRFC). To enable the traffic button, have a look at the settings -> Charts -> Traffic: You have to tick both options "Show AI ..." and just below "Show 'online' traffic".
  2. As you mentioned, it's not working here. But anyway, thanks for the link.
  3. Hi Andy, you're not doing anything wrong and it has also nothing to do with re-installing EFB. It's the 1311-cycle, revision 2 which contains some problems. In the meantime Navigraph has released a third revision (thanks to Richard Stefan for his very quick response and help!). Please download this latest version, install it and restart the DataProvider. Everything should work again then. http://www.navigraph.com/FmsDataDownload.aspx
  4. Hi Vu Pham, when saving the route to FSX please verify whether the checkbox "Write procedures" is ticked. [attachment=0]saveAsFsx.jpg[/attachment]
  5. Hi, according to the forum rule #4, please sign your posts with your real first name. Thanks. Please verify whether the following options in the settings are set: - DisplayUnit, Miscellaneous -> Create Garmin GPS flight plans - DataProvider, Folders -> Create FSX flight plans - DataProvder, Folders, FSX Flightplans (this folder must point to the original folder where FSX is saving its own flight plans. Usually this is similar to this example (Win7, engl): C:\Users\[username]\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files
  6. Henk, Additional questions: - are both computers within the same workgroup (not homegroup)? - are both computers having the same network address (e.g. 192.168.1.xxx, assuming the network mask is 255.255.255.0) - do you run both computers using Windows 7 or do you run them in mixed mode (Win7 / WinXP) - do the shared folders have read and write access rights? - can you navigate to the shared folders on the DataProvider's computer when browsing the network node from within Windows Explorer on the DisplayUnit's computer? - if you can navigate to that folders, can you also create/update/delete a file in that folders (also using Windows Explorer on the DisplayUnit computer)?
  7. Henk, just as an addition to what Travis already explained: You don't need to explicitly configure some SimConnect configuration files for the networking part. Networking between DataProvider and any DisplayUnit within the same network is done by EFB internal network components. SimConnect is used as the interface between the DataProvider and FSX, but not between the DataProvider and the DisplayUnit.
  8. Sydney, please have a look into the operations manual, section 2. Search for "Runways.txt". Here's another hint: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1260
  9. Hi Tony, I can see that the 1311 cycle does not list any SID for KORD. Did you already had a look at the Navigraph forum whether they already know about it? Did you check your runways.txt file?
  10. Hi Craig, did you already read this post from the FAQs? viewtopic.php?f=3&t=145 This is most probably due to a wrong "FSX flight plans" data path in the settings of the DataProvider. It must be as follows: "[Documents]\Flight Simulator X Files" whereas [Documents] stands for the path to either the MyDocuments or simply Documents folder. When sending a flight plan to FSX the folder name cannot be set, it must be the default folder name which is used by FSX.
  11. Hi Ned, Sorry for not realizing earlier, but you don't have to restart the DataProvider after you have make any changes to the runways.txt file. It will be read when a request for an airport has been received. But you have to reset the airport cache on the DisplayUnit's side to make sure the DisplayUnit will send a new request for that airport. Otherwise (if the airport is still cached) it will not be requested. For details please see the operations manual (search for "cache").
  12. John, version 2.0 will have an integrated algorithm which is doing the assignments automatically. That is your personal decision, but from my point of view EFB does not only consist of a runway assignment that is sometimes not correct. Just my two cents.
  13. Hi Ned, From my point of view the only other way is either to start FSX and having a look there, or you start any other third-party program which can tell you the needed information.
  14. Hi Mike, I've only tested with P3D v1.4 so far. With that version it works.
  15. Maurizio, did you check the DisplayUnit settings already? There you will find a tab named 'Traffic'. Most probably there is a checkbox which is not yet ticked.
  16. Dom, I can only talk about EFB and FSX, all other programs I don't own. I doesn't matter whether you start FSX or EFB first. EFB continuously checks whether FSX is already running and if it is running it will connect to it. Vice versa, as soon as EFB recognizes that FSX has been exited the connection will be closed and EFB starts the re-connection loop and will wait until FSX is starting up again.
  17. Hi, most probably the problem occurs when you try to copy/paste the key into the text boxes. Try to enter the key manually each box individually. If this doesn't work, you can send me an email to support@aivlasoft.com (mail address taken from operations manual, section1, page 3). BTW, as per the forum rule #4 (see the orange box at the top of each page), please sign your posts with your real first name. Thanks.
  18. Hi Peter, would it be possible to save that route as an EFB route (*.efbr file) and then send it to support@aivlasoft.com? This way we can try to reproduce what you described.
  19. Hi Rob, thanks for your detailed report. I'm glad to help you but first I should know the following: 1) Which navigation data provider are you using (Aerosoft NavDataPro, Navigraph FMS data) and which cycle. 2) EHBK and EHAM: are you using stock scenery or any third party scenery. If third party, which one?
  20. Andy, what exactly do you understand when you say "further" development. Did you already see that the flight plan handler has been released in the early days of October? viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1423
  21. Hi Maurizio, I just have replaced the file some minutes ago. Could you give it a try again? Thanks.
  22. Mike, what you have quoted is in regard of version 2.0 of EFB. There I have it already implemented. For version 1.x I can only repeat what I have already said " ... I'm currently thinking of a small update which implements support for OpusFSX and FSGRW. Nothing is promised, but it could be. Thanks for understanding." viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1415 You might be right, but please do not forget that I'm a one man show and (also this has been already said many times) I decided to concentrate my resources for the development of version 2 and not for endless updates of version 1.x. So please be patient.
  23. Hi Ashley, as far as I know FSInn observes the directory where FSX flight plans are saved. Usually this is the folder named "Flight simulator X files" below the "MyDocuments" folder. As soon as the latest *.pln file has been changed it takes parts of that data and sends it to VATSIM. This has been discussed in earlier threads already and I don't know whether there is any setting in FSInn to prevent this behavior.
