  1. Thanks. I also found that out yesterday. I also notice that the active flight plan is automatically updated as soon as I added SID/STAR at the flight plan folder location, which I can then just load into FSX. I thought I had to save the flight plan then loaded the saved plan before. Nice. Now if EFB can read FS Global Weather data, it will be golden. Vu Pham
  2. Hello, I tried searching for this on the forum and have read through the document. I have tried saving the active route with all the waypoints including SID/STAR, however, when I load the flight plan in FSX for ATC IFR none of the SID/STAR waypoints show up. Did I do wrong somewhere? If so could someone please help? What I am looking to do is to plan the flight with EFB, completed with SID/STAR and load the flight plan to have the default FSX to follow along, Such flight plan is useful and saving time in not having to re-enter again in FSX planner. Thanks in advance. Vu Pham
  3. Thanks Urs. I saw them now. The original install zoom level must be just right. As for the enroute section, I did not click on a waypoint first. Thanks again. Off to read more in the manual. Vu
  4. Hello, With the default AIRAC shipped with EFB, I saw waypoints showing up around my home airport: CYOW, and I can enable/turning off these way points from the chart by click/unclicking the "FIX" button on the chart page. Now with the latest 1213 rev2 cycle, these waypoints are gone. First I thought it was just CYOW, but then when I load up KJFK, all the "fixes" seem to be gone too, and click/unclick the "FIX" button does nothing. When I setup a route with EFB and I go to the enroute tab and then I try to type in a fix, say AVVON that exist near CYOW, there is nothing showing up. The same update was applied to my feelThere EJet V2, and I can insert the same waypoint just fine. Has anyone else seen this issue? Thanks Vu
  5. Thanks I will try tonight. Perhaps there is a tutorial somewhere? Here is what I get so far: 1. The EFB aircraft is for storing EFB stuffs relating to the aircraft, say a check list for PMDG MD-11 2. I create a flight with EFB using the PMDG MD-11 and it will have the checklist up for me 3. I start FSX and get ready for my flight with the MD-11 loading up the route generated by EFB 4. As I begin taxi and other stages of flight, if I press on the Moving map ( the airplane icon) EFB will now show me in its UI the MD-11 movement as it leaves the gate, taxiiing and go thorough the flight, including moving in to the destination airport from runway to apron to the gate. Are the above correct? If so, sweet. Thanks
  6. Thanks. I only now begin to use EFB, so please be patient. So what you are saying is that I set up the aircraft in EFB for checklist and stuffs for EFB, but when I fly EFB would be picking up my current plane in FSX and then show me in the EFB UI where I am on the apron, as I taxi and then follow me through the flight, without me doing anything else? Thanks Vu
  7. Hello, I went through the config. manual and I cannot get sufficient information on this topic, plus the UI is not that intuitive. So I decided to post it here. Here goes: How does EFB make the link to the aircraft I create with EFB and the one in FSX? I found that I can create any name with EFB, and it will accept it. The aircraft must be created and selected for EFB to function and it will be used to associate information to my flight. So if I have the PMDG MD-11 and several paints for it, which name should I use in my EFB version? Is there a convention? I tried to search for the info, but I could not find anything. Thanks Vu Pham
