  1. You think EFB is sending automated commands to your sim? At least for the altimeter, I'm pretty sure EFB can't be the root cause. There is a display in EFB when the QNH is not set according to the current pressure in the sim, but I don't know a way it can be changed from EFB. And I would be really surprised if EFB can set cockpit modes or engine status of add-on aircraft. I think you are mistaken for the causal connection here. Unfortunately, this depends on how the designers (miss)use the AFCAD file for their purpose. And you have seen that they are not even consistent within a single company. Obviously, ORBX thought it to be a good idea to define the runway width for KHAF with 0 meters. Why? Only ORBX will know and you have to ask them. There are already a number of similar cases reported through the forum here where also suggestions are added how to fix this inconsistent use of the AFCAD file amongst various scenery designers.
  2. Reset your server location: System Menu > Server location (it says most probably your server name/IP, just click on it and set the server address again).
  3. Ever considered to use the search function? The topic was already discussed - and solved!
  4. I can only imagine Andy is talking about the register find in the Select Airport dialog. Then I could agree that both ICAO and name fields are cleared when the windows is closed so it is available directly for entries upon next time. Also sufficient would be the temporary saved content to be selected, so it is immediately overwritten when you just open the windows again and start typing.
  5. via "System menu" > "Profiles Editor" > "Create new"
  6. If the port is not the issue, then only the latency of your internet connection or the missing answer of the time server. Unfortunately, this check is required to prevent any abuse or manipulation of the trial period.
  7. Neither P3D nor FSX do such a check. You can also put your Jumbo to a 600m grass runway. Doesn't make much sense, does it? According your examples, EFB works exactly the way it should and prevents you to select an unsuitable airport. The limiting factors have already been described. You may at any time deactivate the PRFL filter (Manual 5 Client, 5.1.3) to suppress this protection. If I do so, I can file a flight plan with a B747 departing in KTNP without any problem.
  8. So you have IVAO activated, but no traffic is loaded? Please upload a support file of the server instead a screenshot. Only then, we can get a complete picture of what is going on.
  9. Hi Juergen Since neither to client nor the server is installed on SSD #2, I see no issue installing them there again. Since it's a dual boot configuration, both installations and system os can run independently. This is also valid for app installations.
  10. Vince, this has been answered already. In manual 5 Client - Chapter 7.1.4.
  11. This is the screen. If the "show at startup" (bottom right) is activated, this screen will be shown when you start your sim and RED traffic will still be displayed at this time. As soon as you load the scenario or you load it directly when you run the sim (the "show at startup" option is disabled then), RED traffic will disappear.
  12. There is nothing pointing to corrupt files. There is somehow an issue with your settings. A new installation not necessarily will solve this. I'm missing the status bar of EFB on the right where the active aircraft profile is displayed. Please also go into the profiles editor and show us the filter page of the aircraft you are using. If you change the airport in EFB manually, do you have the AUTO function on? Is the destination airport shown in the list?
  13. Hi Philippe Not quite sure if I understood everything correct. It's difficult to follow your description. Did you try to start the database builder directly (from the program group Aivlasoft in your start menu)?
  14. In your sim of course, I think the correct name is scenario setup.
  15. Peter, are you using the trial version or have you bought a licence?
  16. Systems installed already on tablet devices have the screen keyboard usually already activated. I think, Bernds link points to the right source to activate that option also on systems where an external touch device has been connected. Windows for sure provides the functionality to show the keyboard automatically when a field for text or numbers is selected. And it will also hide it again if you continue and the setting is done that way. Therefore, I think, a separate keyboard as provided in v1 is no longer needed. Regarding buttons and info column, there should be no issue even when you change the relative font size of windows. The info column width is adjustable, so just drag the divison line there where you like it. And if you don't need to see the task bar (fixed or automatically hidden) anymore, double click on the top part of the EFB window between the name of the active airport and the nav/position information. This will put the EFB window to full screen. Nobody will find out, what system EFB is running on.
  17. EFB2 checks against the filter properties of the aircraft profile you use. Obvisouly, EFB hasn't recognized - for whatever reason - your VTBS scenery. Therefore, it cannot find a runway of 2200 meters or more for this airport. So, the filter criteria are not fullfilled. And this is exactly what EFB tells you. Don't know why EFB doesn't recognize your VTBS. Do you use an add-on scenery?
  18. I wouldn't consider this a permanent solution. How about my advice?
  19. That is a very clear indication, isn't it? Obviously, you do not have VTBS in your sim. This is due to defined runway length, width and surface. Because VTBS is not in your sim, there is no runway, hence EFB tells you that you won't make it. PMDG won't tell you that and guide you anywhere where data is defined for an airport, even if it doesn't exists (scenery-wise) in your sim.
  20. Still doesn't explain where theses paths are from. Would be interesting for your further database updates. You can use either PC name or IP. But as IPs are often assigned dynamically, the PC name is the better alternative. There are a few other topics in this forum about connectivity of client to server, maybe you can find a solution there.
  21. Thanks *SAYYOURNAMENEXTTIME* for your further information. I did some digging again and found out that Microsoft obviously decided at a certain build of Win 10 to no longer include this font. This explains also why I never had problems with my Windows 10, which was also a clean installation, but from one of the first builds. This means, people who use a more recent build of Windows 10 to do a clean installation will face the issue of missing the font "Arial Narrow". You may download the font from http://allfont.de/download/arial-narrow/. Urs, maybe you can do a new FAQ article. Or any other solution that is suitable (include in installer - don't know about licencing, use fallback font - maybe result in undesired user experience).
  22. Can you upload the file C:\Users\Peter\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\FsDreamTeam LSGG\add-on.xml? Is there an add-on.xml in the folder following the FSLabs folder (alphabetically)? If yes, can you upload this as well?
  23. Peter, can you please create support files according the FAQ and upload them here so I can get a little bit a more concrete picture about what is going on? You have to check all the add-on.xml in the subfolders, because according to your first log, one of them is pointing to C:\Users\Peter\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\FSLabs\SimObjects\Airplanes\FSLabs A320 CFM\Panel.AUA OE-LXC, which is obviously not a valid scenery folder.
