  1. Regarding your proposals refering to flight planning, be advised that EFB is not designed for this tasks. May I ask why you would want different coloring of STAR and approaches? Would you then also mark transitions differently? Isn't this all together your approach? The idea is to have the close button everywhere at the same place. It might be worth a thought to introduce an option making them more touch-friendly (bigger). Unfortunately, the rules aren't the same all over the world. So it's not always west/east bound. To determine the correct FL according semi-circular rules (and FL changes when entering another area) is part of the flight planning, which is again not a task EFB is the tool for. There is no reason to display an option that doesn't match with filterings already done. E.g. if you have selected a specific runway, why should procedures of any other runway be displayed? You can always reset the filter with the button "Clear". Could be an option, also for the Sync. Can't remember right now, but it's very likely we found a good reason to not do it that way. Maybe @lonewulf47 you can remember? I also noticed that and we did some testing. It is obvisouly a combination of operating system and the touch interface which makes the scrolling work on some devices and on others not really. Didn't find the root cause yet. Also here, an option like "enable touch functions" might be a possible solution.
  2. Did you either use OK or Apply to close the window? Otherwise, the settings are not saved.
  3. The taxi routing feature works amazingly - if the AFCAD is done properly. This again depends on the scenery designer. You may edit AFCAD files and use them according "Manual 4 Database - Chapter 2.7" to make full advantage of the functions offered by EFB.
  4. So the issue returns after you restarted the EFB server, is that correct? Do you run the server with admin rights?
  5. Thanks Kevin (I guess this is your name, please state it according the forum rules). So to conclude: Simulator (what ever you have) running with admin rights EFB server running with admin rights Network client (vPilot, IvAP, ...) running with admin rights Does that solve the issue with traffic displayed while connected to the network for everyone?
  6. If you can't see online traffic while the network client is connected, check that it was started with admin rights. So, additionally to the EFB server, also the network client (vPilot, IvAP, ...) shall be run with admin right. Please check then again what you can see on the map and in the traffic monitor of the EFB server.
  7. I did some tests with my setup (FSX and ASN), but couldn't reproduce the issue. Weather reports follow the time set in the weather engine (which can also be synchronised to the sim time). Just make sure you allow the server some time to read the new weather information (status should read: File based weather broadcasted) and the client to display this new information.
  8. Only if you use the shutdown option for all clients and the server in the client interface. Otherwise EFB trusts the user that he wishes to do what he clicks.
  9. Did you try on different airports? It may (and is most probably) a scenery issue because taxiway naming is not 100% according charts. This might lead to a no-result taxi routing. You can also try with less restrictions (arguments in the taxi routings). Check if the requested routing makes sense according to the taxiway naming you can see in the EFB ground map.
  10. Mabye to conclude for everyone reading this thread later: vroute is a route database, mainly for airline operations (large set of validated routes, but mainly to/from larger airports) simBrief is an online flight planning tool with export capabilities (validation of routes, also of suggested ones from simBrief itself, needs to be initiated by the user using the CFMU validation button in the route box) Finding any possible route is not that difficult. PFPX does it with a click, but also on tools like skyvector, you find your way easily. Even to/from (very) small airports. However, when it comes to validation (speaking here of the Eurocontrol NMOC service (CFMU before)), it can sometimes be a very difficult task to find a way through all the restrictions imposed by RAD. You might need quite a good knowledge and nearly dispatcher skills. Especially in network environments, it is highly recommended to care for route validation nevertheless. The communities there are usually happy to help if you struggle to find a valid route.
  11. Interesting will be especially if only one of the EFB components (client, server) or any of them leads to the freeze. Just make sure you have the latest FSUIPC version. Maybe try to run again this installer just to make sure everything is setup correctly for EFB to interact with it. Did you have freezes of your computer on other occasions (not necessarily linked to flight sim programs)? A system freeze usually points to an issue in the core system like the operating system or even parts of the hardware.
  12. So you should ask why PRO-ATC X can't do an export directly for your payware aircraft. Probably because of the same reason EFB doesn't. They are not flight planning tools. Converting flight plans should stay with the software where the plans are prepared. Or even better, payware aircraft should accept standard formats and not require a special format. Just because everyone is inventing an own flight plan format, it cannot be the job of other developers to feed that format.
  13. What weather source to you have selected in the client settings?
  14. Check the system requirements are fullfilled: Manual 1 Installation - Chapter 1.2. Also discussed partly here: .
  15. I wouldn't say so. It also largely depends on the user groups using this service and maintaining valid routes. But you can find routes there from all continents.
  16. I assume this is while you are connected to the network, so using the pilot clients engine to generate AI traffic. There is a different filtering for the two types of map. In ground mode, "static" traffic (traffic not moving and therefore determined to be on ground) is shown as well. In the world mode, this static traffic is no longer shown (because it will be most probably irrelevant). But you should still see any other airborne traffic in your area. However, what traffic you see depends on your pilot client settings and those of FSUIPC. If you can't see any traffic in a situation where you expect to, please check the traffic monitor of the EFB server and verify if the list is empty or not. Thanks for your reports on this.
  17. I wouldn't support this statement looking at Europe where the initial climb altitude often is below the transition altitude. If you are flying in a network, just confirm the initial climb altitude with the IFR clearance. Then you can already setup your MCP correctly and all the virtual controllers will be happy.
  18. I agree that Simbrief is a very good briefing tool. However the routes provided are just what any user before proposed as his routing (I confirmed that from the platform provider). So in fact, any routing. You will always need to run the NMOC validation (which was called CFMU before and is still in Simbrief). This might make route finding rather a challenge sometimes. But at least, you have then a valid route. And this is exactly what vroute provides. If no valid routing is known for a certain origin/destination pair, someone has to find one and can add it to the vroute database so everybody can profit from it. Therefore, I also would vroute give a try.
  19. Once you select the network, you need the client some time to download the latest data dump of the network. I didn't really understand your second part of your last post. Maybe just follow my request and list the mentioned parameters. So everyone is aware what you are talking about. If you have different use cases, name them and distinguish clearly between them.
  20. Are you looking for the time setting in Manual 5 - Chapter 12.3.1?
  21. In fact, network traffic is AI traffic in your simulator. The network client is working in a way as AI engine. Please describe the situations when you see traffic and when you don't including at least: The network selected (global settings) Your simulator (type and version) Your network client
