  1. Hi Neal Following your post, I cannot really find any question. Therefore, it's difficult to give you a helping hand. Maybe you can get a bit more precise and state some specific questions?
  2. You need to check the subfolders! There are various of these add-on.xml files. Best use the search function within this folder. But before, I suggest you open the database builder, delete any existing database and create a new one again from scratch. Just to rule out other sources of error.
  3. Can you provide a screenshot of this situation? Can you also report what map options (buttons at the bottom) you have activated? Also here, a screenshot would be appreciated.
  4. Hi Christian Please check the EFB profile in use and the option "Forward flight plan to default GPS". Check Manual 5, Chapter 12.2.8.
  5. Peter, there seems to be a file add-on.xml somewhere in a subfolder of C:\Users\Peter\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons pointing to the folder C:\Users\Peter\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\FSLabs\SimObjects\Airplanes\FSLabs A320 CFM\Panel.AUA OE-LXC, which seems not to exist. So, search for add-on.xml within C:\Users\Peter\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons and check if any reference to the FSLabs A320 folder is given.
  6. Yes, there were a few other users facing the same problem. https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/2894-could-not-instantiate-ppwmg/ https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/2986-client-start-problem/ https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/3073-efb-20-fault-during-client-start-up/ Don't know how these users and you managed to get rid of this font. But if you have a standard windows installation, the font is there. I installed the client on 2 system with Win 10 and another system with Win 7 without any problem.
  7. Hi Jason Normally, there is nothing more you need to do. Did you check the new scenery is included in the sim (visual check)? If so, please upload the servers support file for further analysis.
  8. Thanks Scott I can see in your file that the server never gets a request from a client, so there is not really a connection. I can also see you entered the IP in the client to establish connection. Can you confirm you are not using dynamic IP allocation (so the IP of the server computer is always the same)? Otherwise, I suggest to use the computer name instead of the IP. This allows the connection will always be re-established also when different IPs are used. To change the server address, click on the on/off button in the client, then click on server location to enter a new address.
  9. I should have looked at the AFCAD in ADE earlier. As I wasn't familiar with the airport, I thought it actually has now only one runway and the naming is a leftover from when it had two. So, just in case you haven't had time to adapt the AFCAD, find the changed file attached. Place the file in Server\AFCAD and run a simulator update in the database builder. LTFE_AFD_v8.bgl
  10. Hello *NEWUSER* Welcome to the EFB forum. May I suggest you start first here (https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/2522-forum-rules-read-before-post/) and tell us your real name as per the forum rules? To analyze your issue, please create a set of support files both on the server and the client system and upload them here. Thanks.
  11. Hi Ad I think the underlying issue is the same as in the topic linked below. Urs will need to analyze and check.
  12. Can you please create support files on both computers you use and upload them here?
  13. Hello *NEWUSER* Welcome to the EFB forum. May I suggest you start first here (https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/2522-forum-rules-read-before-post/) and tell us your real name as per the forum rules? Now about your issue. First of all, reinstallation is not a solution unless you really messed up something. But that doesn't seem to be the case. So may you please describe a little bit more precise what actions you do and what setting/conditions are applicable. For the radio panel, it would also be important to know if you have activated an online network. Is your simulator connected to EFB? How are the situation where you see and where you don't see certain frequencies different from each other?
  14. FlySmack Can you also install once the client on the same system as the server and check if the files can be read there properly? PS: Please sign with your real name as the forum rules require. https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/2522-forum-rules-read-before-post/
  15. Hi Troy Usually, nothing does happen occasionally. Especially if it's about software consisting of zeros and ones, the reacting is the same if the conditions are. To better understand your issue, I would ask you to describe the initial status you start and then list the actions you do in EFB in order to create the undesired status. It's important we can follow each of your steps and try to reproduce the error. Can you also upload the flight plan file from PFPX you export? Thank you very much
  16. Can you check one more thing? Look for system in your control panel. These are basic information about your system. Can you show what information is stated for the system typ (should be in the section named again system)?
  17. Yeah, that was I was looking for. But I'm not sure if it helps they way I hoped it does. We have Urs to take a look, because I think we have come to a point where we need the coders expertise.
  18. Samer, many thanks for following my advices. Now that you confirmed the client works on your flightsim computer, we narrowed down the issue to your dell computer. So the tip file isn't needed any longer. So we have to dig deeper into your system on the dell computer. Can you navigate in the control panel to programs and check for an option named like activate and deactivate windows features? If you find this, please open all layers of groups having .NET Framework in its content and post a screenshot of this.
  19. Thank you. The airport file cannot be read from the client for some reason. Either it is compiled somehow with errors or the client computer is missing something. Can you please: on your server computer: Upload the file from Documents\AivlaSoft\EFB2\Server\DbBuilder\Ready\P3Dv4NG\airports.bin.zip on your client computer: visit https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=55170 download and install the software and reboot your computer Optionally, can you install the client as well on the same machine as the server and try if it works there?
  20. Hi Samer Can you upload again your latest support files? Because the red buzzer is normally the sign for an error logged on the server. However, I can't find such a message in the log you initially provided. But I understand the client runs normally, just the loading of the data is not completed, right? So it stays that way if you don't to anything, correct? Can you provide a screenshot of your client at this stage? Can you confirm you run your server with admin right?
  21. I don't see you created the database again from scratch. Since you reinstalled, I recommend: Start Database builder Delete any existing database Then create a new one If that goes without errors, set the newly built database selected (mark and click select (button bottom right))
  22. I was able to detect my "dispute" between the sceneries of Grenchen and Basel. However, ruling one scenery out did only work by using the "BglSceneryExclude.txt" file, as described by Urs. I already tried to locate the "faulty" scenery earlier by deactivating also those sceneries in my library. But obviously, this isn't considered by the DB Builder, at least for navaids. Is this how it should be? I would have expected any bgl not considered at all also by EFB unless the "scan all" option is activated. And it is not on my system.
  23. Thank you for this excellent analysis. Didn't know this tool before, but it is definitely of help here! I allow myself to post here the direct link, so everyone running into the issue that a navaid has multiple labels, can analyse his own library and find the contributing BGL files. http://www.aero.sors.fr/bgltools.html
  24. They should be 172P of course. Where can I change that? Didn't find the location, sorry. I'll do the 172S next. For my understanding: You are referring to the default version implemented in the sim, right? Because there are at least 172P with and without rudder trim, I think this doesn't depend too much on the version. I think, I'm mixing up a bit simulation and reality here ...
  25. A full set of C172 checklists, following the offical Cessna handbook. That's for verification and feedback. C172.abnormal.txt C172.normal.txt
