  1. Perhaps its FS9 coded then and EFB isn't able to read it, Aerosoft are notorious for doing this. Try opening the file mentioned in the GSX screenshot in ADE and compile it without changing anything. Obviously make a backup first so you can restore it if something goes wrong.
  2. Are you sure you aren't seeing an AFCAD for MyTrafficX or similar instead. If you open the GSX airport editor while on the ground at the airport in question it will tell you the exact path to the AFCAD you are seeing in the sim.
  3. Look in the FSX general menu for an option called "pause on task switch" or words to that effect and remove the check mark and that should stop it pausing.
  4. No he means FTX cannot be disabled when you rebuild the EFB database, if it is then none of the FTX airports will be found as they are completely removed from the sim when FTX Central is in default mode. You need to find out if Canberra was coded in FS9 format or not, it may be that the AFCAD is using FS9 code for one reason or another, if it is then EFB V1 cannot read it. Usually if an FS addon airport has been built recently then there is no need at all for it to have a section in the runways.txt because the airport will more than likely already contain the correct (updated for magnet variation) runway designators, so try removing its entry from the runways.txt file completely and confirm it is not in FS9 format. You would probably be best asking on the FTX forums if any other Canberra users are having problems in EFB.
  5. Nav data is only installed on the PC where the data provider is installed i.e. the FSX PC.
  6. Not sure if this link will work outside the UK or not. This is Ted and Jack.
  7. Father Jack is another character in the same UK show but he was a nasty drunk (as far as I remember), not just dumb ass like Father Ted.
  8. You cannot network an iPad to EFB. You can turn your iPad screen into an external monitor which you can then move EFB onto, but you would need to ask the author of whatever software you are using whether you can use more than one, I suspect you may be limited to just one because there is only so much wireless bandwidth available and this external monitor process does use a lot of bandwidth. Plus you can only run one EFB display unit per PC, even if you had a hundred monitors connected to it. You can have many PC's each with a display unit on it, but its not something I have ever tried or wanted to try to be honest.
  9. It's likely that the AFCAD has been made for FS9 and imported into FSX too, EFB cannot read FS9 encoded AFCADS so you need to get it converted to FSX format by opening it in ADE-9x or ADE as its called to some and simply compile it in FSX mode.
  10. We don't really care what your real first name is but we do like to call you something other than K in your case, the rule is about being civil with one another, not trying to work out if you are a pirate or anything like that.
  11. EFB 1 comes with its own networking solution to link the machines together, Urs certainly isn't going to remove features when he moves to version 2, don't worry.
  12. Please see rule number 3 above in the orange box, i.e. please use the SEARCH facility, it helps keep the forum from getting cluttered with many posts asking for the same thing. In this case search wasn't even needed as the topic is not that far down the page and clearly described, plus it was your topic Mamock viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1415
  13. Rather than Travis putting his PC at risk why dont you remove the file from your PC and test it, I thought the tweak came with an uninstall feature so why not try it.
  14. P3D isn't supported. Requirements Microsoft® Flight Simulator FSX, ServicePack 2 or Acceleration Package or 'Gold Edition'
  15. Do you not have a reply to the UAC and program files folder tips? Answering all suggestions explicitly will always smooth the support process, in my roll at another support forum you wouldn't believe the number of times I have had people miss important steps that I have given them during troubleshooting, only for them to tell me 20 posts and several days or weeks later that they had sorted the problem by trying something I had mentioned to them in my very first reply to them, which they completely missed.
  16. You shouldn't need a new key as far as I am aware, I know I didn't when I reinstalled on a new PC a few weeks ago. Just use the same one you were given when you bought the software. If you lost it then I'm sure Urs will send it again when he reads this.
  17. You need to speak with REX, if EFB and the aircraft are both showing nothing or ---/-- for the winds this means that no winds aloft are present in the simulator. You can confirm this by enabling the red text at the top of the screen in FS by toggling the function through its various modes with the key combination "Shift + Z", if that also shows 359/0 for example then you know there is no wind in the sim. So this must be an issue for REX.
  18. Go to the settings menu in the Data Provider and untick the option "Synchronise UTC time" in the miscellaneous tab.
  19. You don't buy charts from Navigraph for Aivlasofts EFB, you buy FMS Data and that is installed into EFB, there are specific installers for Aivlasoft. Personally I would recommend Navdata Pro from Aerosoft instead, its a little more expensive but its far easier to install if you have multiple aircraft and apps to upgrade and the data/number of airports covered is larger too, or it was the last time I check several months ago. Certainly do a little more research before spending anymore money that's for sure.
  20. Are you sure you don't have Winds Aloft disabled in AS2012?
  21. Did you not keep the email with the registration details? Did you not write down the Key as recommended at the time of purchase? If not then you need to email support with the your details i.e. include your full name, address and the email address used at time of purchase so that he can verify your identity, then once confirmed support will resend your key code etc. You can find the email address for support on the website. http://www.aivlasoft.com/contact.html
  22. No Urs means that defining your own fixes is not supported in EFB. What Urs was inferring was that it may be supported in version 2 of EFB which is in development at this time. No there is no known release date for EFB V2.
  23. Have you tried waiting till after you have loaded FSX to the aircraft, location and stand you desire before you run EFB, that makes more sense to me than doing it after.
  24. There are topics discussing this. search.php?keywords=YSCH
