  1. The PM button is just below Drew's signature in his last post and just below my Cheers in this one
  2. Unfortunately the return flight wasn't so good, all traffic disappeared again like normal
  3. Yes the traffic stayed visible throughout my 90 minute session, which is more than I can say for any previous version of the NGX, a provisional "well done" to PMDG from me.
  4. I've not messed about with any of the fixes mentioned in this thread but I am now using the NGX with SP1 which was released earlier today and I am currently flying the new 700 expansion and the AI traffic is currently showing on the map even when the NGX is in the air, let's see if it lasts.
  5. Are you sure this isn't some setting in the installer packager, I very rarely see this warning in installers these days, maybe your installer creater needs updating or configuring differently.
  6. Can you not attach a bigger screen to the Netbook, most of them do have VGA ports on them.
  7. Maybe changing the description by adding the words "Display of" before the words "AI Traffic is Disabled...." may clarify things better.
  8. Hi Urs, I'm not sure what you are asking me here to be honest, but the Options.exe program that comes with each UK2000 scenery allows you to use a simple GUI to setup the scenery the way you want. Ticking the box for "install static aircraft models" will cause the program to place the GEN bgl in the active scenery folder, unticking the static box and ticking the option that says "AFD with Airline Codes" will cause the xTRM file to be copied from the options folder to the scenery folder and the GEN file will be moved back to the options folder. I think there is a third AFD as well but the options program handles all of that. Only one of the AFD bgls will ever be in the active scenery folder. I hope that was the info you needed.
  9. It's actually impossible to activate a bgl that is not contained in a scenery sub folder. For your purposes if a bgl is not contained within a folder called "scenery" then it should be ignored. The scenery.cfg file itself never points to the scenery folder but rather to its parent folder, the parent folder must contain at least a scenery folder and in many cases it will also have a texture folder too. I have never ever seen a single (active) add-on bgl file contained anywhere but in a scenery folder, FS would simply ignore it if you tried and the scenery manager within FSX will not let you manually add a new area if its not got a scenery folder within the parent folder. I'm sure this is mentioned in the SDK. I am pretty certain I am correct about this too as I've been beta testing for a few scenery developers over the years and I've built a few airfields of my own too.
  10. Confirmed, yes renaming the files in the options folders does fix the issue.
  11. One way to test it for sure then is to rename all the files in the options folders by adding something like ".off" to the end of their file names or move them to folders completely outside of FS, renaming is safer though. Just remember to not use the options programs from UK2000 to swap files though as they will most likely crash or something worse if you do use them. Then run another update in EFB again and see if it works then. The ultimate fix would be to stop EFB scanning outside of the scenery folders though.
  12. The bgls in the options folder aren't active though, only the one in the scenery folder is. Are you saying that EFB is scanning sub folders too even if they are not active scenery folders? If that's the case then all UK2000 xtreme sceneries will be effected as the option folder exists for all UK2000 sceneries.
  13. No they do NOT show in my EFB either Jack, not sure what is going on, I will have to defer to Urs and Travis. Below is what the UK2000 EGKK xTrm AFD looks like in ADE9X, ,you can see many more parking stands.
  14. OK back on my PC now, the AFCAD file that should be in the active scenery folder i.e. ...Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\UK2000 scenery\UK2000 Gatwick Xtreme\scenery is; EGKK_AFX_UK2xTRM.BGL if this is installed and you are still missing parking spots then you need to check with Gary to see if he has implemented them or not, either that or check for yourself with ADE9X. The reason I ask you to check the correct file is there is that Gary's installers are sometimes not the most reliable, especially when it comes to swapping files in and out like this static aircraft scenery option does.
  15. You probably updated the AFCAD at some point from the UK2000 website and possibly installed the wrong version, the read me file that comes with the updated AFCAD should explain which one to install. I'm not at my PC at the moment so can't look which file you should be using. Don't forget to also update the database as I don't think EFB will warn you about parking space mismatches from previous AFCAD versions.
  16. That's correct you can't have static aircraft and a parking spot below it otherwise you would have AI aircraft and the static model occupying the same space.
  17. My i7 2600k and GTX580 doesn't see even a single frame drop when I enable my second screen, the main one is 1920x1200 and the second is a touch screen at 1920x1080. I used to get a small drop with my GTX285, but not at all with the 580.
  18. Pete I believe current_wx_snapshot.txt is the correct weather file, EFB works fine for me with ASE, although I don't always use DWC (not that it should matter), smooth cloud transitions is my favourite mode for short regional flights around the UK.
  19. It's still fiddly on a 21.5 inch touch screen Pete, don't worry your fingers aren't that freaky
  20. I choose my flight starting location in the FSX create flight menu, what's that got to do with EFB. I'm always loaded up in the cockpit cold and dark at the Gate before I even start EFB up.
  21. I've noticed the same thing with MyTrafficX, UT2 will put slightly more stress on Simconnect but it doesn't seem to stop UT2 from injecting traffic into the sim, EFB just doesn't seem to get chance to display it always. Maybe different kinds of Simconnect functions get differing priorities, it seems TCAS functions are low priority maybe.
  22. As Jack has mentioned above this isn't an EFB issue, it's an issue with the PMDG NGX flooding the Simconnect interface with too many actions/requests and this causes other programs that are trying to share Simconnect bandwidth to not work properly either. There is absolutely nothing that Urs can do about this.
  23. You want to wait for a couple of minutes every time the data provider is launched? because the only way to check for changes would be to actually run an update. I certainly would not want such a facility, life is too short as it is
  24. Christian do you not have FSX SP2, Acceleration expansion pack or the Gold version installed like the error message is telling you. If you only have SP1 or less installed that may be the problem.
