Hello Lonewulf. Thanks for the very fast reaction. I searched for misplaced airports but couldn't find anything that looked like this problem. WAMT and WAEE are the same airport. The ICAO code changed during time. My fs is P3d4.5. WAEE is the add-on WAMT is default. Not sure if WAEE or WAMT is the oldest ICAO code. regards Ronald

Hello captains I am a huge fan of this EFB and have been using it for years! I use a server and client mode and it is working fine. Recently Iinstalled some scenery airport and all good except the positioning. Can you maybe help me? I have some foto's . The airport is WAEE When I land it looks oke: But when I check my EFB2: If I fly to the RWY shown in EFB2; It looks like: But when I start up via the menu at WAEE; Than I am placed correct. I rebuild the dataset after reading. All okay now

Error : Airports database file not found! The Client starts up but keeps hanging on start up because it is unable to find an Airport database. Please what to do? regards Ronald

Yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss fixed it! netsh winsock reset and netsh int ip reset these two things did the trick!

Hello fellow simmers This morning I woke up and I saw the light!!! My girlfriend has a laptop. I asked here if I good test EFB using her laptop. No problem. So I installed the Display Unit on her laptop and started the DataProvider on my PC (server) It connected right away. No problems what so ever. So there is nothing wrong with my DataProvider (server). That means the problem is on my other PC (client) and is the Display Unit. My client PC is my old FSX machine and my old server. Maybe there are some old Aivlasoft folders or registrykeys wich need to remove before I can make my old server PC the new client PC. Urs, do you know of any hidden DataProvider folders that needs a better cleanup before installing the DisplayUnit? Regards Ronald

So almost two weeks further I have got a complete new windows 10 install. I have got a complete new FSX install, I have got a brand new AivlaSoft EFB install! This is on the the server PC. For the client I have a new windows 10 install. I have got a new AivlaSoft Install. All folders are shared correct. NavData is up to date. DataProvider works perfect, connects to FSX and is ready and running! DisplayUnit is set up correct. Same 1.6.8 as the DP. DP accepts connection of DU! YESS YESS YES, it works,.......NOT! Same pop up that there are problems with the DP and it needs to close down. Also the DU disconnected! Trying to connect.... That is a pitty! almost a week of installing and reinstalling and still EFB shuts down because it is not able to work with windows 10. I run it as administrator, tried with and without firewall, I did everything. All the programs work, ASN, FTG-Acars, V-pilot but not EFB. Urs, can you please help me a little bit with the program!? Urs Sorry for flooding the channels. I mean no harm. Since there was not much respons on the forum I thought you were not aware of my posts. Since there are a couple of people with the same problems, I thought it would be usefull that I had found the problem,... in the invalid pointer address. Because I have all my network settings correct, I thougt maybe you know what the problem is. I am out of options because I do not have the knowledge anymore to dig deeper. I tried with Zoolander yesterday, but he also good not find anything wrong in my network settings. I tried PC name instead of IP. I tried with all the firewalls down,... I installed EFB 8 times now, I don't know anymore. Regards Ronald

So I did some testing, together with a more advanced user. Al my folders are shared correct, all the networksettings are correct. I tried it again with my old client PC, with Windows 7, and the display Unit connected right away. So I think the problem is within a Windows 10 Client PC. The window events logs doesn´t show anything. me again, still not working. Funny thing, the reports up here are from my server. I just connected my old client PC with windows 7 and old aivlasoft 1.5 DU installed and try to connect. It connected right away, no shut down on the severs/DP. How wierd is that. So the error is comming from the new client windows 10 PC.
