  1. Hi Roger, Sorry, I don't get the point. When selecting URSS Sochi on my default install, I see all ILS approaches. It is of course necessary to update your default files by Hervé Sors' Navaid Update Package: https://aero.sors.fr/navaids3.html This also updates all ILS'es for Europe.
  2. Hi Andrea, The above example is from default, however you need to upate the default navdata with this fantastic freeware tool from Hervé Sors: https://www.aero.sors.fr/navaids3.html as mentioned above. This also updates the ILS' within Europe . For updating an add-on BGL you either need to use ADE or ask the developer.
  3. Hi Pedro, Sorry, I don't quite understand what you mean. The source file must be defined in the Server System Settings. You don't need to insert the path only but the file "Current_wx_snapshot.txt" itself.
  4. Hi Stephan, Thank you for your kind words about EFB2. To answer your question: No, there is no specific wishlist. Your are however free to issue any proposals/wishes here in this forum. It would be nice if such proposals could be discussed among all Forum Members and then kinda "distilled" into specific change requests. So, no hesitation at all. Just go ahead! 😀
  5. Hi Paco, ok, just for my understanding: you cloned the drive on your Flight Simulator computer and therefore also reinstalled EFB2 Server on that drive. The Client however is running on a remote computer via WLAN.So you didn't reinstall the Client. This leads to the question: what Server Installer did you use? It seems that Server and Client are not of the same build. The simplest way to resolve this situation is: - download both Server and Client from our website: https://www.aivlasoft.com/download.html to make sure both Server and Client are of the same build # - Uninstall the Server on your Flight Simulator computer - Uninstall the Client crom your remote computer - reinstall both components and proceed according to EFB's guidance after the new install by starting to build a new database und activate the remote Client on the remote computer Thereafter everything should be back to normal operation.
  6. Hi Paco, Does the Simulator work normally? Did you completely uninstall EFB with the standard windows uninstallers before reinstalling? Did you run the DbBuilder first before any attempt to start the client?
  7. Hi ??? (please sign your posts with your real name according to our Forum Rules) FlyTampa does unfortunately not use any ILS on their AFCAD BGL. You therefore need to use the special AFCAD BGL from here. Please read the instructions carefully and place the EKCH.BGL into the correct folder and rerun the DaBuilder. Nevertheless this might not be enough to bring back the correct ILSes on this aiport. You will also need to update your default BGLs by this source: https://www.aero.sors.fr/navaids3.html Just download and apply the latest World Navaid Package. After this you are perfectly done again with EKCH. Sorry to say that this is unfortunately the only way to get this airport updated. It's the way FSX/P3D handles NavData. Actually not a comfortable way but we have to live with that already for many years. Let's hope FS2020 will use a more straightforward system - like X-Plane does...
  8. It's all explained in Manual 5 Client, Chapter 13: Online with IVAO or VATSIM. Of course only areas being active at the time you are simming are displayed.
  9. Sorry, I have no idea how V1 handles partially closed taxiways. The designers have obviously closed S2 to avoid misguided AI ground traffic. In V2 it shows up normally:
  10. I have installed and checked update V1.01 of the abovementioned scenery. As far as I can see there is no improvement on the BIAR Akureyri airport BGL. I therefore still recommend to use the replacement BGL. I have informed MK-Studios about the incorrect BGL. In addition to that also the lead-in lights to RWY 01 are missing.
  11. If you happen to have purchased this newly published scenery, you might have noticed that many of the interesting approaches into BIAR Akureyri (mainly the two ILS RWY 01 & 19) are missing. The reason for this is that - sad to say - unfortunately MK-Studios got a few things wrong on this AFCAD BGL. Inorder to overcome this uncomfortable situation you might want to replace the original "BIAR_ADEP4_MK.bgl" by the one published below. This brings back both ILS' with the correct inbound tracks and idents. BIAR_ADEP4_MK.bgl Inorder to replace this file, navigate to the scenery folder of the BIKF installation (normally to be found here: \Prepar3D v4\Ecosystem\MKSTUDIOS\Keflavik4\Scenery), set the original BGL to OFF and copy the new BGL into the scenery folder. Don't forget to re-run the DbBuilder thereafter. This will bring back to life those interesting apporaches. Have fun!
  12. Could you please post your color file? It is stored here: "C:\Users\<Username>\Documents\AivlaSoft\EFB2\Client\Settings\Colors" I have no idea, why the color is not stored permanently. Here it works flawlessly. Just be aware that you need to change the colors for both Ground Chart and World Map separately.
  13. Hi ??? (please sign your posts with your real name according to our Forum Rules) Yes, I have some ideas😀 You need to save your current color setting when asked to do so and give the file an appropriate name. If you do not save your color scheme, the colors are reset to default alfter each restart of the Client.
  14. Oh, I see what you mean. This is an explicit omission as we do not use the term IFR. Everything else than VFR or ABNORMAL/EMERGENCY is IFR. In addition the indication in this display window is for information only and has absolutely no function. The same happens if you enter another code manually.
  15. Hi ??? (please sign your posts with your real name according to Forum Rules) What are you referring to with 2000, IFR? The description IFR/VFR has no influence on the transponder function. It is just a reminder for the general use of this code. If you want to squawk 2000, then use this setting. If you want to use any other code, just type in another code. There is however a file xpndr.txt in the settings path of the client (standard installation): "C:\Users\Username\Documents\AivlaSoft\EFB2\Client\Settings" where you can add your personal preferred codes in the format Code;Abbreviation;Description. Just add a line at the bottom with a text editor, e.g. 4523;IFR;private code and it will show up in the list. Make sure you restart the client after adding the line to allow the client to update its memory.
  16. Hi Urs, Very impressive test. Thanks for publishing the results. Nevertheless I would like to mention that the Weatherprovider Setting can of course be changed in the running system. Just go to the Client's settings and change the "Weather" settings to "Real Weather". This setting is transmitted to the Server and stored in the Global Settings as "1", which means that no external weather AddOn is required.
  17. Hi Urs, As far as I understand the Windows Basics, using a Key-combo for a running program needs this program to have the focus. This is true for all Windows Applications. If the program however is using it's internal routine (e.g. for going to the tray) is is independent of whether it has the focus or not. That's exactly as I see the behaviour on my machine. I must honestly admit that I have no idea what is going on on your machine. You're on Win10?
  18. Hi John, Do you use an Add-On for ENGM or the default airport? EFB2 uses actual ILS data according to the actual ARINC cycle. If those data do not match, the ILS' cannot be displayed. I have checked both my installs for ENGM. Using Aerosoft's Mega Airport Oslo Gardermoen 2.0 all ILS' are available. It may therefore be that the default BGL from P3DV4.5 uses outdated ILS data. To overcome this situation it is heavily recommended to use Hervé SORS' freeware navaid update: https://aero.sors.fr/navaids3.html With this update also all european ILS' are updated to the latest AIRAC Cycle. Unfortunately this is becoming more and more a problem without using regular navaid update as those default BGLs are getting more and more outdated. A great disadvantage of the navaid sysstem in use with FSX and P3D.
  19. Hi Joan, Sorry, we have to limit our conversation to one language, and this is - as mentioned in the Forum Rules - English. I can however answer your question as follows: there is no direct conversion within the various Flight Plan formats. Usually if you use a Flight Planning tool like PFPX or SimBrief, various export formats are available. If you solely use Aerosoft's CORTE tool, there is a simple possibility to use the CORTE's routing string: Open CORTE and copy the routing string into the clipboard (Ctrl+C). Make sure that you have selected the option without SID and STARs - Now open the FPL window in EFB2 and copy (Ctrl+V) the routing string in to that window - add the departure ICAO code into first position - add the arrival ICAO into last position - make sure that there is always 1 space between the mentioned entries - complete the EFB routing the usual way That's it. Happy flying 😀
  20. Hi Chris, Yes, we are aware of that. So far we haven't come across too many airports that have the same Parking Position numbers used on more than one Parking Stand. In most cases they are all defined by a unique number with a prefix-letter. Sometimes they are also just numbered through, e.g. like in EDDM Munich. If however there are double numbers, we unfortunately do not have any means to distinguish between them, as information concerning terminals are not contained in the respective airport BGL. Sometimes the list in the Airport Information can provide additional information, like in the attached example of EDDS.
  21. Hi Claus, As you might have noticed, we had to move your misplaced contribution to the EFB v2 forum. To answer your question: Normally it's the airport designer's duty to properly assign parking positions regarding position and A/C size (required radius). it is however also possible to change the parkings with the help of the freeware tool ADE (Airport Design Editor), but it needs some skills and thorough knowledge of the airport layout BGLs to achieve a useable result.
  22. Yes, it sometimes may happen that you leave the Settings-Page without confirming the changes made by pressing the "Apply" key
  23. Did you select the proper Online-Nework under "settings"?
  24. Hi ??? (please sign you posts with your real name according to our Forum Rules) EFB2 is for several reasons a bit more "picky" on the navaid information gathered through the respective airport BGL. It is of utmost importance that the ILS data contained in the respective BGL is identical to the one used in the currently installed AIRAC. Several airports had some changes on their ILSes. This is the way things are worldwide. Currently the following data are valid for the mentioned aiports: For EHRD: ILS06 109.10 ROS ILS24: 109.90 RSV For EHGG: ILS23: 109.90 GRO You might need to update your airports. If you are using default airports you may consider the excellend freeware of Hervé Sors' "World Navaid Package": https://aero.sors.fr/navaids3.html If Add-Ons are used for an airport you need to check with the Add-On developer or make the changes using ADE.
