1. Hi Faithskill, according to the forum rules, please sign your posts with your real first name. Thanks. I just tried to reproduce the red cross when entering either an IP address or a computer name but I couldn't. Could you provide a screenshot where I can see how you have entered the IP address and how the other text boxes appear?
2. Hi Richard, That's it. Just ignore the warning, it only tells you that EFB could not find the runways 16R and 34L because they are not existing. I did a look into the navigation procedures file LGSR.txt and there are also no procedures for these two runways. EFB does not only read the LGSR.txt file, there are other references to these two runways in the file "wpnavapt.txt". I did not test it, but I'm pretty sure that the warning will disappear if you remove the runways from both files. If you do so, please do not forget to run the scenery update after you have removed the lines.
3. Today we have received the information that AT&T has unblocked the website.
4. Hi Clive, I cannot say why this message appears. It seems to be a temporarily problem when downloading data from either VATSIM or IVAO. Does it still occur?
5. Hi, according to the forum rules, please sign your posts with your real first name. Thanks. If you have AI traffic activated, I would suggest to listen to ATIS since this will give you the right information. If AI traffic is off, then you can rely on the favored runways from EFB. Favored runways in EFB are considering wind and landing facilities but not AI traffic.
6. Hi Edward, we were in touch with AT&T and they confirmed that they have blocked the IP address of the server where our website is hosted. The problem is that they have blocked the IP address and that means that several other websites are blocked too. Aivlasoft.com is a hosted website and it does not run on our server. Almost a week ago I opened a ticket at our Internet Service Provider and I forwarded all information which we got from AT&T to them but unfortunately they have not yet solved the problem. Two days ago I did a phone call to ask them but nothing helped. I will call them again on Monday.
7. Hi, according to the forum rules, please sign your posts with your real first name. Thanks. If this happens, just open the "Direct-To" dialog and select your next waypoint. This will re-align the internal calculation.
8. Hi, according to the forum rules, please sign your posts with your real first name. Thanks. Most of the systems of a PMDG aircraft are modeled outside of FSX. Therefore some features are not available through SimConnect. The fuel in total (FOB) can be read through SimConnect nevertheless.
9. Hi Mark, this is not possible in version 1. It is a feature of version 2 but to be honest, I cannot say whether it works because I'm not yet working on that. There are still some other things to do first.
10. Chis, it's like Andy explained. EFB reads the information from the *.bgl file. If the information is not available then it cannot depict it. Have a look at the screenshot below. It shows the same position in EDDF but from another scenery. You see that EFB depicts the entry points L21 and L20.
11. Hi Ole, most probably the screen resolution is too low (see minimum requirements). Can you try to move the window using the mouse (click onto the title bar of the window and then drag the window)?
12. Hi Andrew, it seems to be a Navigraph problem. I will try to get in touch with them.
13. Hi Andrew, which AIRAC cycle have you installed on your system and from which provider is it (Aerosoft / Navigraph)? Can you send me this FSCommander flight plan to support@aivlasoft.com? Thanks.
14. Hi Björn, please send all the logfiles from both programs to support@aivlasoft.com. Maybe I can see therein what happens at startup.
15. Hi Nigel, with 1.3.10 this should be fixed Can you send me the two files "firs.dat" and "fir.dat" for further inspections to support@aivlasoft.com? Thanks.
16. Hi Nigel, which version have you installed?
17. Hi Henk, this is not possible with version 1.x but I like the idea . Maybe possible with version 2.
18. John, I don't see anything wrong in what you describe, but it seems that these shortcuts (bring to front and vice versa) only work if a chart or the flight log is displayed in the DisplayUnit.
19. Hi, as per the forum rules, please sign your posts with your real first name. Thanks. Please make sure that the FSX window has the focus. Only then the shortcut can be recognized.
20. Hi John, Just have a look at the bottom right of the DisplayUnit screen. In the status bar you will see which cycle is loaded.
21. Jean-Louis, from the download page of our website you can download the data files which originally came with the Eye. You can save them in a folder at your discretion. Make sure the folder name in the settings points to that folder where you have saved the files. Of course you can also use your own data files which must still be in the folder which you have mentioned (C:\Program Files (x86)\IVAO\The Eye\data). I'm aware of that The Eye is no longer supported and therefore the day will come when the data files that we all have locally on the hard disks will be outdated. If there is someone around who has a very good contact to the IVAO officials, it is most welcomed to ask there for updated data.
22. Hi John, If you like to install the DisplayUnit on a PC which is connected by a wireless LAN, please make sure that the wireless LAN is not 'too slow'. Otherwise you might run into problems. If you have a look at the installation and configuration manual, section 1, page 10 (step 3) you see that the installer allows to select which component shall be installed. If you just want to install a DisplayUnit on another PC than the PC which is running FSX (and the DataProvider), run the installer and only select the DisplayUnit. That's all. The full installer of EFB includes a free (but meanwhile a bit old) version of an AIRAC cycle from Navigraph (IIRC it's 1101). The update of EFB doesn't include such an installer. To get up-to-date AIRAC cycles from either Aerosoft or Navigraph you have to subscribe to their products. Further details can be obtained by visiting their website. Once you have a new AIRAC cycle installer, you have to run it on the FSX computer (where the DataProvider is also installed). The installer will recommend you a folder like [FSX]\AivlaSoft, where [FSX] means the installation path for FSX. If you don't use the default path for the AIRAC cycles please don't forget to adjust the path in the settings of the DataProvider. The EFB DataProvider always has to be installed on the same computer than FSX is installed. The DataProvider has its own built in code base to connect to each DisplayUnit within a private network. The DataProvider only uses SimConnect to connect to FSX, but not to connect to the DisplayUnit(s). Hope this helps.
23. Hi Alvaro, 1) Subscribe with Navigraph to get each AIRAC cycle 2) Download the AivlaSoft EFB installer from their website 3) Run the installer on the FSX computer 4) Restart DataProvider EFB doesn't support such a feature in version 1.
