  1. Hi, according to the forum rules, please sign your posts with your real first name. Thanks. The navigation files that come with the AivlaSoft EFB installer are not zipped. I must assume that the files you're talking of are from another source than AivlaSoft.
  2. Hi Matthias, please verify whether the following option has been selected: DisplayUnit > Settings > Charts > Ground > "Show runway identifiers from navigation data".
  3. Hi Frank, there is no possibility to insert an airway when you manually change your route. I suggest to use the ATS route description feature as described in the operations manual, section 5, page 8 and following. It's (in my opinion) the easiest way to create a route. There are also a lot of sources for such types of routes on the internet from where you could copy/paste these descriptions into the text box which is available at the bottom of the 'select route' dialog.
  4. Hi Gus, did you run the installer with "right-mouse-click and then 'run as administrator'"? Don't worry because of the demo, the demo is the fully functional code so you don't have to re-install or install the update or anything else. As soon as you have purchased the license key, just enter the key (DataProvider's menu) and this will create a new license certificate on your computer which in fact turns your demo license into a fully licensed certificate.
  5. Hi, it's located on the DataProvider's computer in the following folder: C:\Users\[username]\Documents\AivlaSoft\EFB\UserData
  6. Hi, could you please send me all files which you can find in the logfiles folder on your PC to support@aivlasoft.com. Usually this is something like C:\Users\[username]\Documents\AivlaSoft\EFB\Logfiles. Thanks.
  7. Hi, disconnections can have several causes. In the end it's due to the fact that the DisplayUnit does not reply to the DataProvider within the time frame which is defined in the settings. Now the question is why does the DU not reply within that time frame? This can be because of a network problem (too less throughput), or a performance bottleneck on that computer where the DU is running. Maybe you should try to switch on/off several programs or add-ons to figure out which program might be the cause?
  8. Hi, Please try the following: - Open the installation and configuration manual, section 1, page 10. There you will see a screenshot of step 6. - Run the installer for the full setup again and when it comes to step 6, press the button "show details". - In the small window that opens, scroll down and search for the entry of the runways.txt file. There you will see whether the file has been written by the installer and you will also see where it has been written. If the file has been written by the installer but the DataProvider is telling that the file is missing, I must assume that another program on your computer (maybe any antivirus software or similar products) has removed it.
  9. Hi Andy, You don't have to run the update over the full installation. The full installation always contains the latest updates. Please try the following: - Run the uninstaller from the Windows control panel (uninstall a program) - Download the 1.5.0 full setup from our website - Unzip the file and then run the unzipped installer Hope this helps.
  10. Hi Frank, FS Global Real Weather writes a file current_weather.txt into the data\exchange\common subfolder of the installation folder of FS Global Real Weather. However, it does so only if the option is checked in the settings dialog of FS Global Real Weather (Tools ? Settings ? General ? Enable Data Exchange).
  11. Hi Mark, hi Curt, I will rework this dialog with the next update 1.5.1. BTW, you don't have to select the path where FSX/P3D is installed, you have to select the folder where the corresponding simulator is saving its flight plans.
  12. Hi, please, according to the forum rules, sign your posts with your real first name. Thanks. It depends whether you have installed the default data set which comes with the full setup of version 1.5, or whether you have a subscription for either Aerosoft or Navigraph. With the 1.5 installer the navigation data will be saved as follows: "$SIM\AivlaSoft\Aerosoft NavDataPro", and/or "$SIM\AivlaSoft\Navigraph FMS Data" (where "$SIM" means the installation folder of your flight simulator) If you run the Aerosoft NavDataPro program, you must have a look there to figure out where you saved the data, same for Navigraph there you will also have to select a folder by yourself.
  13. But it doesn't work with Windows 8.1 RT. That's what also a customer has reported some days before.
  14. Hi, which AIRAC cycle are you using? Which provider (Navigraph or Aerosoft)? and please, according to the forum rules (see at the top of the page) sign your posts with your real first name. Thanks.
  15. Hi Jeff, did you insert the folder name into both text boxes (Navigation data folders when running FSX and P3D)?
  16. Hi, most probably you have installed FSX into the default installation folder (e.g. "C:\Program Files(x86) ... \Flight Simulator X"). The PMDG installation folder is one of the folders below and therefore it underlies the same restrictions as all folders below the default installation folder. This is a security feature and was introduced with Windows Vista. There are two ways to solve it: a) start the DisplayUnit with right click and run it "as administrator" (then your DisplayUnit will have enough privileges to write to that PMDG folder) install your FSX to another folder (which is not the easiest way for obvious reasons )
  17. Hi Andy, just press the Windows Start Button, then "All Programs", "AivlaSoft", "EFB", "Logfiles". Just zip all the files within that directory and send them to support@aivlasoft.com If you have a network installation and the DataProvider runs on another machine than the DisplayUnit, please send these files too. Thanks.
  18. Hi Robert, please send an email to support@aivlasoft.com and include the email address which you have used when you made the purchase. Thanks.
  19. Hi Morten, you cannot remove runways from that dialog. Greyed out means that there are no procedures available for a certain runway. The runways.txt file is only to assign FSX runway identifiers (which might be outdated) to navdata runway identifiers which are up to date. If you use the 'nil' argument means that for a certain runway no assignment is made, but since the runway in FSX still exists, it will be shown on that dialog, but greyed out. Hope this helps to sort out the runway-confusion .
  20. Simon, technically it is possible, but ... according to the license agreement:
  21. Josh, from what I can see in the logfiles and from what you have described I must assume that the installer has not been applied on both machines. If a full-setup is required then you must run this full-setup on both machines, so that in the end on both machines the same versions are installed. If only an update must be done, also run the update-installer on both machines. If there are different versions of the DisplayUnit and/or DataProvider then you will not get it to run. One of the errors in the logfile (file not found "s4.bin") let me assume that on this machine a very old version must have been running before only the update has been applied. To make sure that all files are correctly installed, please download the full-setup of the latest version 1.3.10 and run it on both computers. You don't have to manually clean your system before, just run the uninstaller from the Windows Control Panel > Uninstall program. Here is the link to the download: http://www.aivlasoft.com/download/Aivla ... .10.exe.7z
  22. Hi James, could you please send me your runways.txt to support@aivlasoft.com? Thanks. Will have a look into it ...
  23. Hi Jim, thanks for your help and patience. I'm working on a new beta version which I will send to you for test asap.
