  1. Glen, we are working on a solution for this problem, but it will only be available in version 2. As per today we don't know the release date for version 2.
  2. Alex, sorry for the inconvenience. Did you enter the number group by group, each one of them in their respective textbox, or did you try to "copy/paste" the license key into the first textbox?
  3. Hi, the BGL file contains many pointers and values indicating a certain length of a sector within the file. When EFB is scanning the files it has to go from one pointer to the next. After every pointer there is a value that tells how long the section is. If such a value is wrong EFB tries to read "beyond the end of a stream". In other words, this exception message tells you that the BGL file is not entirely consistent. If you have a look at the folder where the logfiles are saved, you will find a file called "SceneryUpdate_log.txt". There you will find any errors listest along with the filename that caused the error.
  4. Christian, the refresh rate is a fixed value of one second. It cannot be changed by the user. This is due to performance considerations.
  5. Glen, I will try to address this in version 2.0.
  6. Tom, that sounds to me like a .Net installation problem. The error message has been raised by the .net framework and not by EFB so I can only guess. - is .net framework 3.5 SP1 installed on that computer? (normally it should with an installation of Win7) - did you install SP2 for EFB on both computers? - I think that Microsoft has a ".net-framework repair kit" (I don't remember the correct name). Re "Firewall": When the DataProvider has been started for the first time, usually the Windows firewall will come up with a dialog box where you will be asked whether you want to allow the program to access the network. Press "Yes" and the firewall will add an exception for this program. I'm not sure whether the same dialog comes up when starting the DisplayUnit for the first time, since the DisplayUnit is more "passive" than the DataProvider. I personally would also not disable the firewall, but add an exception for the programs instead.
  7. Hi Chris, thanks for the additional information about FoxIt Reader. As I already mentioned in my earlier post, EFB is using the "Internet Explorer" control which is provided by the .net framework. It utilizes parts of the Internet Explorer to show documents like *.html and *.pdf. Therefore I think that it is necessary to install Adobe Reader to be able to view pdf files in IE. Maybe there is another pdf-reader plugin for the use with IE?
  8. Hi Travis, That's not only a guess, that's the truth . Sometimes - depending on the scenery - it's hard to figure out which is the right ICAO code for the country of a certain airport and one of the parameters that is then considered is the name of the country. If the name is not given in English the above mentioned warning text appears in the logfile.
  9. Hi Fabio, congrats on your investigations. Since there seems to be no clearly defined rule where to place the bgl-files and every scenery designer has it's own preferences of "where is the right place" to save the files, EFB analysis the scenery.cfg file for any scenery path which is marked as "active". It takes that path and must scan all the bgl-files which are placed below that path. That's a "disadvantage" of an open system.
  10. Hi Chris, the PDF viewer in EFB is nothing else than a part of the "Internet Explorer". In my opinion it must be a certain setting there. Did you already try to google for "Your current security settings do not allow this file to be downloaded"?
  11. Hi Fabio, welcome aboard . I assume that you're using a add-on scenery from LIMC? May I ask you who's the publisher? 1) can you send me the "installation logfile" so I can have a detailed look what happened there? 2) When I have a look at the default FSX installation I can see that MAL is the VOR for Malpensa. Also in respect of pt.1 I must assume that something went wrong when installing the add-on scenery. Somehow the MAL VOR is still available in the BGL files although FSX doesn't show it anymore.
  12. Hi Chris, where is the pdf file saved that you want to show, locally (on your computer) or remote (on the internet)? If you try to show the same document in IE, do you get the same error?
  13. John, just press the "airplane" symbol on the chart toolbar. The symbol is only available if FSX is connected and running ("green" state).
  14. The discount expires 31st May 2011, 23:59:59 (UTC+2)
  15. Hi, Due to some emails between Mirko and me, we currently know that from the XP computer you can't reach the Win7 computer using the "ping computername". If he uses "ping IP-address" then it works. So it seems to be a DNS problem? Any ideas?
  16. Leif, it has been released today http://www.aivlasoft.com/download/index.html
  17. Robert, could you please send me all the logfiles you can find in "Windows Start Menu > All Programs > AivlaSoft > EFB > Logfiles" to support@aivlasoft.com. Thanks.
  18. Hi, a quick look into the Navigraph files tells me that Navigraph doesn't provide neither arrival (STAR) nor Approach procedures. There are only a few departure (SID) procedures available.
  19. Hi, it seems that you mixed the runway identifiers. On each line you must define the "old" (FSX) and the "new" (Navigraph) identifier for one side of the runway. For LSGS that is: LSGS 07 07L LSGS 25 25R LSGS 08L 08L LSGS 26R 26R Although only the identifiers for runway 07/25 have been changed you must enter the lines for the other runways as well.
  20. Hi, the correct lines for LEMG are as follows: LEMG 14 13 LEMG 32 31
  21. Salut Jean-Louis thanks in advance for the work! Once you have finished the work, please send it to support@aivlasoft.com. I will just check it and then upload ...
  22. Hi Helge, that depends on your personal needs only. If you run a second DisplayUnit on another computer and you like the share the flightplans (routes) then it might be helpful to have them in one shared folder. Library and Aircraft folder are more or less the same thing. If you like to share them, place them in a folder where the other DU has access too. The flightlogs folder should remain separate because both DU's will try to save the flightlog at the same time which could lead to problems.
  23. Hi Jlund, according to the forum rules, please sign your posts with your real first name. Thanks. Yes, if it's the same computer than before, there should be no problem using your personal license key to unlock the software again.
