  1. Henry, there are no known circumstances when the the exception is being raised. But I can assure that it has nothing to do with "payed" or "trial". It's the same program code. To be honest, I don't know. There have been many hints and ideas posted herein, each of them might help. I personally think that it has something to do with the workload of FSX. Maybe it helps to reduce the amount of simultaneously running add-ons which are reading/writing data from/to FSX via SimConnect? Just a guess ... Sometimes also the hardest way is successful ... a clean re-install of FSX
  2. Hi Todd, this is definitely not normal. The error message is raised by the system (say ".net framework") and not by EFB. EFB only collects and writes them into the logfile. I can't really advise what to do in such a situation. Hope this helps.
  3. Hi Neal, the "free" AIRAC cycle which is included in the 1.3.1 setup, is cycle 1101. If you're flying online, then it seems to be somehow necessary to have the most recent cycle. It you don't fly online, it's up to you whether you like to have the most recent procedures. AIRAC cycles (from Navigraph) provide all the procedures data (Standard Instrument Departure Routes (SID), Standard Terminal Arrival Routes (STAR), and also approach procedures to approx. 3'500 airports worldwide. These are all IFR procedures, none of them is VFR.
  4. Solved. It was due to a wrong folder setting for the FSX flight plans.
  5. Neal, the problem seems to be that EFB cannot find the Navigraph data anymore. Did you already run the Navigraph installer? By default it will install the procedures data to [FSX]/AivlaSoft. This path has to be set in the DataProvider's settings ("Folders" tab).
  6. Dennis, thanks for the screenshots. On the "Route Setup" screenshot I can see that the online network is not activated. Maybe this is the reason why you can't see any traffic? Also on the "Chart-Options-Bar" I miss the "OTPV" button, which also indicates that the online network is not "On". I'm sorry, but I don't know FSInn.
  7. Henry, there is still a long way to go until the next version of EFB will come out. So in my opinion it's safe to buy now.
  8. Hi Dennis, If the DisplayUnit runs on a computer with Windows 7 or Windows Vista, then it seems that you must have changed the color scheme to either "Windows classic" or "Windows basic". This could be the reason why you can't see the "online indicator". Try to change it to a "real" Windows 7 color schema. Can you provide another screenshot which shows the "Online" settings tab?
  9. Hi, I'm not sure whether you describe a problem or not. Is it a question or what? BTW: According to the forum rules please sign your posts with your real first name. Thanks.
  10. Hi Joe, currently there is no option to select whether the great circle line is depicted or not. I think that this could be added to the "to-do" list.
  11. Hi Ingo, did you reference the IvAp (Pilot client software) files or IvAe ("The Eye") files in the settings dialog (Online tab, "IVAO data folder")? It's important to reference the IvAe files.
  12. Salut Jean-Louis, It is not possible to make it visible without dragging the bar, sorry.

  14. Hi, it seems that there is no CYBR file at all. If I have a look into the folder "[FSX]\AivlaSoft\SIDSTARS" then I can't find a file name CYBR. Did you already post this in the Navigraph forum? BTW: according to the forum rules, please sign your posts with your real first name (maybe you use a signature)
  15. Hi Glen, as far as I can see (using AIRAC 1106) the CDF1C arrival ends at the CDF NDB (388.5) which is the airport navaid. Then the approach procedure for ILS 30 starts at CDF NDB, course 136° for about 8 NM, then LT (left turn) to intercept the localizer ICWA 110.7/300°. Maybe Wycliffe can shed some more light on that ?
  16. Hi Todd, please install SP3. This will fix the issue.
  17. Hi Julian, welcome aboard! The exception "too many requests" is sent by "SimConnect" which is the (programming-)interface to/from FSX. Since EFB logs all the messages that it receives, it also logs messages that not always are concerned to EFB. If you run other add-ons that are also using SimConnect and especially when many AI airplanes are around (depends on the current settings in either FSX or the AI-add-on), then it might happen that SimConnect signals "too many requests". Try to reduce the density of AI aircraft and most probably the message will no longer appear. Hope this helps.
  18. Hi Vic, could you please send me that file D:\FSX\Scenery\0702\scenery\giza_image.bgl to support@aivlasoft.com? I will have a look into the file, but most probably it's not a "real" FSX file. In the last few weeks I saw some files which are part of a FSX scenery but they contain stuff from FS9 (...)
  19. Neal, thanks for the kind words! Normally a greyed plane icon means that FSX is not running or in paused mode. Does that make any sense?
  20. Tom, I cannot see why EFB doesn't recognize these two runways because it does with stock FSX scenery. I quick look at the website of ORBX (http://fullterrain.com/support.html) shows that there is a update for YSCB.110 available. Did you already install it?
  21. Dougal, first of all, good luck and get well soon ... I know from what you're talking. I also run EFB on a older laptop, but you must install FSX SP2. I did it without any add-on's, just to have the BGL data on that machine. This way I can run EFB at least to create routes, have a look at certain procedures etc.
