  1. Hi Jack, thanks again. The issue with London Control I could reproduce and I could also fix it. Do you still have this flight plan LFPG-KEWR?
  2. Hi Jack, thanks for this screenshot. You're right, there must be something wrong here. I will have to do some investigation on that.
  3. Hi, I just uploaded the files to our server. They are available from the download page. http://www.aivlasoft.com/download/index.html
  4. Dave, thanks for this info. I always thought that the update of these files is well organized and regular. Isn't it?
  5. Hi, it seems that this link is somehow broken and others at VATSIM are also waiting for an answer ... Read here (page 3): http://forums.vatsim.net/viewtopic.php?f=72&t=53274&start=30
  6. The 1103 cycle should be up and available again in a few hours. http://www.navigraph.com/www/fmsdata.asp
  7. As per today (March 11th, 2011) a new installation package version 1.3.0 is available from the download area. For all new installations please use this package. Installations made prior to March 11th, 2011 based on binaries with versions equal to or lower than 1.2.1.* can be upgraded to 1.3.0 using the Update 1.3.0, which is also available from the download area. Quick link to the download area: http://www.aivlasoft.com/download/index.html It is recommended to upgrade to this version 1.3.0. For all questions concerning this update feel free to contact us either by postings in this forum or by e-mail to support@aivlasoft.com
  8. Navigraph AIRAC cycle 1103 Due to some misunderstanding between Navigraph and AivlaSoft, today the 1103 AIRAC cycle has been released in a new data format. This new data format can only be read by the new EFB version 1.3.0. The current version 1.2.1 will crash if it is used with the 1103 cycle. We are working flat out to release this new version as fast as possible. To prevent further problems with the 1103 cycle, Navigraph has temporarily removed the 1103 cycle from their download page. As soon as EFB 1.3.0 has been released, the 1103 cycle will be available again. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks a lot for your understanding. For "more" information please also read here: http://forum.navigraph.com/forum/default.aspx?g=posts&t=2472
  9. Freddy, EFB is currently not designed to be able to reset a current route automatically after a new start of the DU while the flight is still in progress. Although there is a possibility (*1) to "reset" after such a situation, in my opinion we should concentrate on the network problem to avoid the described situation. a) Are you running a wireless connection or with network cables? What are the specs of the XP machine? c) What are the values for the timeout settings? You can read these values from the DU and DP settings ("TCP/IP" tab). (*1) - After restart/reconnect of the DU, use the "Direct-To" function and select the next waypoint towards the destination.
  10. Hi Ben, I try to write down the facts we know: A) on your XP computer ... - the DataProvider is running, or it has been running at least once. - the folder "C:\Documents and Settings\[user Name]\Local Settings\Application Data\AivlaSoft\EFB\AivlaSoft.Efb.DataProvider" contains 13 files (named "a" to "m") - if you run "Windows Explorer" you can navigate to this folder and can see all these 13 files - this folder is shared for "everybody" (permission "read") on your Vista computer ... - If you run the Windows Explorer you can navigate to that shared folder on the XP computer (via Network). - if you have a look into that shared folder (using Windows Explorer) you don't see these 13 files Is that correct?
  11. Hi, According to the forum rules, please sign your post with your real first name. I like to know to whom I talk . Thanks. What you describe sounds to me as the DataProvider was not yet running and therefore it could not create the necessary files. Did you run the DataProvider before you tried to connect the DisplayUnit? The folder that must be shared on your XP machine is: C:\Documents and Settings\[user Name]\Local Settings\Application Data\AivlaSoft\EFB\AivlaSoft.Efb.DataProvider
  12. Jean-Louis, please send the log files to support@aivlasoft.com. SP1: Everything is possible . Seriously, I can't say whether it is due to SP1, I don't know all the details about SP1.
  13. Guillaume, I'm sorry to tell you, but the minimum requirements say: "Screen resolution: minimum 1024 x 768, recommended is 1280 x 1024". This can be read on the EFB website at http://www.aivlasoft.com/products/index.html#footer).
  14. Salut Guillaume, thanks for the suggestions. A quick search on the internet told me that this 7-inch monitor has a resolution of 800×480. Am I right?
  15. Salut Guillaume, Full screen mode is only available if the DisplayUnit is installed on another computer than FSX. This is not because of EFB, this is FSX-/Windows behavior. I'm aware of the small space especially on the approach chart. Did you already see that there is a possibility to hide some of the panels in approach chart view? We're currently discussing new ideas for the user interface, but this will need a complete redesign of the application and this will take a lot of time.
  16. Torsten, EFB shows/enables only the runway-buttons for which an approach procedure is available. A quick look into the Navigraph cycle 1102 tells me that for LLBG only the following procedures are available: VOR/DME Rwy 12 VOR/DME Rwy 30 ILS Rwy 12 RNAV Rwy 30 LDA Rwy 30 No procedures for runways 03 and 21. Hope this helps.
  17. Pascal, could you please send me an email to support@aivlasoft.com so I can verify at least your email address? Thanks.
  18. Salut Jean-Louis, If you have installed a base version (e.g. 1.0.0, or 1.1.0 or 1.2.0) then you always can install an update of a higher version. That means that you may download the latest update from the download section, then run this installer on your FSX computer (DisplayUnit AND DataProvider) and also on the remote machine (DisplayUnit only). Then start the DataProvider so it can create the necessary index files and wait until it has been restarted. Then start the DisplayUnit on your local machine, then the DisplayUnit on your remote machine. First of all after everything is up and running, please check the versions as you described in your post (settings/info about). They all must be according to the versions listed on the website. Can you confirm these versions?
  19. Hi Torsten, did you try to first press the "New" button? If no aircraft is available in the list and you would like to add a new aircraft you must press the "New" button before you can add the manufacturers name and the model/type. If there are already some aircraft in the list, you must first select the aircraft, then press "Update" or "Delete", whatever you like to do with that aircraft. Hope this helps.
  20. Salut Jean-Louis, Speed up your network! Seriously, it seems that your network performance or the computer that runs the DU is very slow. When the DU is starting up, it reads the data from the folder "\\Computer\Share\....\AivlaSoft.Efb.DataProvider". If that takes - as you describe - 30+ minutes, than I assume that somewhere must be a bottleneck. I can assure that it is not the DU because I have several test computers running the DU separately from the DP without any problems. What are the specs of the DU computer that you run?
  21. Hi Dave, it seems to be the same problem like at EGLL. Please see here: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=321. Navigraph has released Rev. 2 for the 1101 cycle but currently only for the PMDG data format and not yet for the AivlaSoft data format. See here: http://forum.navigraph.com/forum/default.aspx?g=posts&m=9454⓮. Seems that we must wait ...
  22. Hi Philippe, please have a look at these two topics, they might be helpful: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=217 viewtopic.php?f=5&t=153
  23. Hi Dave, There is no difference concerning the code between trial and licensed. Although I don't have this scenery I assume that what you describe must be an issue with the current version of EFB. Some days ago while I was testing another new feature I had the same issue at KJFK with the FSDT scenery. Fixed with 1.3.0.
  24. Hi Felix, I don't know much about FSInn and the automatism that is "built-in", so I can't give an advice on that behaviour. One must distinguish between a detailed route (which is used by the GPS system to fly as accurate as possible along a predefined route) and an ATS route description, which is in fact a more or less compressed route description. EFB provides both of them. a) if you press "Activate", a detailed flightplan (as detailed as possible, it depends whether a SID, STAR, Approach is already defined) will be written as an FSX flight plan file. This "flightplan" contains all the waypoints like in your screenshot 1 (with [icpt] etc.). This detailed flightplan is used by the GPS system. on the Route-Setup dialog you will find a button named "Copy" beside the ATS route description. Pressing this button you will get the ATS description into the clipboard from where you can paste it into a pilot client software to upload your flightplan to the ATC service. Using this way you wont get a lot of waypoints from a procedure instead of the "clean" route.
  25. Hi Felix, can you post an example of what you currently get our of EFB and what you would like to get, so I can see what could be possible in a future release.
