Hi Urs Thanks for your help, It is working now. The dataprovider filepath was pointing to dataprovider within program files and not the correct file path. The local settings folder seemed to be hidden on xp. Regards Ben Rudder

Hi Data provider is running on the xp machine ok. I can't get past the stage of setting up the display unit on vista. The file pathname is correct and i can find it manually. The AivlaSoft folder has been given shared permission, but when I browse for it at the provider data folder (Network\computer\AivlaSoft\EFB) I can see the folders but not the actual files within the folders. Hi I am trying to setup the connection between display unit on a vista pc and data provider on an xp pc. Data provider on xp is set up. display unit on vista recognises the server name. In the folders and links tab. I have tried to select the data provider file on the xp machine and i can see it through finding my pc on the network option on the start menu of the vista machine. But when i enter the file path in the provider data folder it comes up with a message saying the folder doesn't contain the requested dataprovider files. Can you confirm that the required file is AivlaSoft\EFB\AivlaSoft.Efb.DataProvider.
