  1. Hi, it seems that there is no CYBR file at all. If I have a look into the folder "[FSX]\AivlaSoft\SIDSTARS" then I can't find a file name CYBR. Did you already post this in the Navigraph forum? BTW: according to the forum rules, please sign your posts with your real first name (maybe you use a signature)
  2. Hi Glen, as far as I can see (using AIRAC 1106) the CDF1C arrival ends at the CDF NDB (388.5) which is the airport navaid. Then the approach procedure for ILS 30 starts at CDF NDB, course 136° for about 8 NM, then LT (left turn) to intercept the localizer ICWA 110.7/300°. Maybe Wycliffe can shed some more light on that ?
  3. Hi Todd, please install SP3. This will fix the issue.
  4. Hi Julian, welcome aboard! The exception "too many requests" is sent by "SimConnect" which is the (programming-)interface to/from FSX. Since EFB logs all the messages that it receives, it also logs messages that not always are concerned to EFB. If you run other add-ons that are also using SimConnect and especially when many AI airplanes are around (depends on the current settings in either FSX or the AI-add-on), then it might happen that SimConnect signals "too many requests". Try to reduce the density of AI aircraft and most probably the message will no longer appear. Hope this helps.
  5. Hi Vic, could you please send me that file D:\FSX\Scenery\0702\scenery\giza_image.bgl to support@aivlasoft.com? I will have a look into the file, but most probably it's not a "real" FSX file. In the last few weeks I saw some files which are part of a FSX scenery but they contain stuff from FS9 (...)
  6. Neal, thanks for the kind words! Normally a greyed plane icon means that FSX is not running or in paused mode. Does that make any sense?
  7. Tom, I cannot see why EFB doesn't recognize these two runways because it does with stock FSX scenery. I quick look at the website of ORBX (http://fullterrain.com/support.html) shows that there is a update for YSCB.110 available. Did you already install it?
  8. Dougal, first of all, good luck and get well soon ... I know from what you're talking. I also run EFB on a older laptop, but you must install FSX SP2. I did it without any add-on's, just to have the BGL data on that machine. This way I can run EFB at least to create routes, have a look at certain procedures etc.
  9. Phillipe, the upper pane always shows the navaids and fixes according to the selected waypoint from the lower pane. You must first select the waypoint in the lower pane to get the list of navaids and fixes in the upper pane.
  10. Robert, FSX and FS9 flight plans are not equal from a technical point of view. FSX creates XML files whereas FS9 creates pure ASCII files. If you paste a FSX flight plan from any source into the FSX flight plan folder and EFB says that this is not a valid FSX plan, then it is - most probably - a FS9 flight plan. Since FSX can load both file formats, many publishers of FSX flight plans doesn't distinguish between them. Please try to load the plan in EFB as FS9 plan. Maybe this helps.
  11. William, the error also happens here on my system. It's just a guess but it seems that it has to do with the fact that there is currently no sunrise/sunset at high north latitudes at this time of the year. Will check this.
  12. Hi, it's clearly described in the license agreement, pt 6.2: " ... Patches (within the same version) will be made available to the users for free." Version 1.0 came out in November 2009. Since then we provided many upgrades with enhancements and improvements. Version 2.0 will be a total redesign and will also contain many new features, but - after almost 4 years of development - it seems pretty clear that version 2.0 will not be for free. Of course there will be a discount for existing customers.
  13. Merci Jean-Louis, it's a good idea for the next version.
  14. Glen, we are working on a solution for this problem, but it will only be available in version 2. As per today we don't know the release date for version 2.
  15. Alex, sorry for the inconvenience. Did you enter the number group by group, each one of them in their respective textbox, or did you try to "copy/paste" the license key into the first textbox?
  16. Hi, the BGL file contains many pointers and values indicating a certain length of a sector within the file. When EFB is scanning the files it has to go from one pointer to the next. After every pointer there is a value that tells how long the section is. If such a value is wrong EFB tries to read "beyond the end of a stream". In other words, this exception message tells you that the BGL file is not entirely consistent. If you have a look at the folder where the logfiles are saved, you will find a file called "SceneryUpdate_log.txt". There you will find any errors listest along with the filename that caused the error.
  17. Christian, the refresh rate is a fixed value of one second. It cannot be changed by the user. This is due to performance considerations.
  18. Glen, I will try to address this in version 2.0.
  19. Tom, that sounds to me like a .Net installation problem. The error message has been raised by the .net framework and not by EFB so I can only guess. - is .net framework 3.5 SP1 installed on that computer? (normally it should with an installation of Win7) - did you install SP2 for EFB on both computers? - I think that Microsoft has a ".net-framework repair kit" (I don't remember the correct name). Re "Firewall": When the DataProvider has been started for the first time, usually the Windows firewall will come up with a dialog box where you will be asked whether you want to allow the program to access the network. Press "Yes" and the firewall will add an exception for this program. I'm not sure whether the same dialog comes up when starting the DisplayUnit for the first time, since the DisplayUnit is more "passive" than the DataProvider. I personally would also not disable the firewall, but add an exception for the programs instead.
  20. Hi Chris, thanks for the additional information about FoxIt Reader. As I already mentioned in my earlier post, EFB is using the "Internet Explorer" control which is provided by the .net framework. It utilizes parts of the Internet Explorer to show documents like *.html and *.pdf. Therefore I think that it is necessary to install Adobe Reader to be able to view pdf files in IE. Maybe there is another pdf-reader plugin for the use with IE?
