1. Hi Marc, good to know that you've sorted out the issue with the runways. If the traffic button is selected it will be displayed with a yellow border. If you don't see this yellow border then you must have changed the Windows color schema, maybe to "Windows classic" or similar?
2. Hi Marc, I just downloaded 1107 cycle to be "up-to-date". I assume that your post is related to this cycle? Let's check step by step: 1) EFB procedure selection: EFB shows only runways which have at least one procedure available. This can be verified in the file "AAAA.txt" in the folder "[FSX]\AivlaSoft\SIDSTARS", whereas AAAA stands for the 4-letter ICAO code. For LEMH this would be "LEMH.txt". Don't look in the "airports.dat" file because only the files in the "..\SIDSTARS" folder is considered. The current cycle 1107 offers SIDs for 01L and 19R. 2) Runways.txt file: It is important that entries in this file are only added if there is a difference between FSX runway identifiers and Navigraph runway identifiers. Most probably you won't need this if you have an add-on scenery installed that reflects the most recent real-world situation. If you run the FSX stock scenery then you need to add the following two lines: LEMH 01 01L LEMH 19 19R Which runway identifiers are used by this Aerosoft scenery?
3. Marc, thanks for the kind words. EFB always shows the frequencies from FSX, not the frequencies from Navigraph. So I must assume that this frequency comes from the EBBR Mega Airport scenery.
4. Pascal, Currently it is not possible to use the touchscreen-keyboard to add text to a webpage. Please bear in mind that RouteFinder (and VATRoute) are websites which are displayed in a browser window.
5. Hi, I received the confirmation email about your purchase at 18:57 UTC. Only 6 minutes later you already started this post. I might point out that it is mentioned on the webshop page that the key will be sent to you by email and that it may take up to 24 hours. The key has been sent to you at 20:10 UTC (one hour and 13 minutes after purchase).
6. Hi "RT" the holdings that are currently shown in EFB are only the missed-approach holdings. They provide altitude and in-/outbound track information. This information is taken from the Navigraph procedures data. We are searching for a source for the enroute-holdings, because Navigraph currently doesn't provide this information. BTW: Please, according to the forum rules, sign your posts with your real first name. We like to know to whom we talk. Thanks.
7. Hi "RT", Operations manual, section 8, page 2: BTW: Please, according to the forum rules, sign your posts with your real first name. We like to know to whom we talk. Thanks.
8. Hi Ed, you may send the logfiles to support@aivlasoft.com. Thanks.
9. Hi Lee, T/D is calculated backward from the first altitude restriction below the cruise altitude. If you add or change a STAR then the T/D should be recalculated considering the first altitude restriction in this STAR. The part above 10'000 feet is calculated with 3.5°, the part below 10'000 feet with 3.0°. These values can be edited using the aircraft editor.
10. Hi Ed, Did you install SP3 already? As long as the DataProvider is connected to the DisplayUnit I would not recommend to use the sleep mode on either PC. If you like to use sleep mode then close the DataProvider and the DisplayUnit before so they can properly terminate their network connection. If you don't close these connections properly then it might result in what you described.
11. Hi Ingo, no, this form only displays the manned ATC stations and airport services like ground, delivery, tower and so on.
12. Hi Ingo, maybe a silly question, but did you activate the moving map (small aircraft symbol on the charts toolbar)?
13. Hi Matt, the current version of EFB only uses system time for all purposes. Using FSX time will only be available with version 2.0.
14. Hi Ed, if you don't limit the traffic by setting either a horizontal or vertical range in the DisplayUnit settings ("Charts" / "Traffic") then the range it's approx. 100 nautical miles. P.S. no worry about the multiple postings, I wiped them out
15. Lee, I'm afraid it's only for Windows 7 or Windows Vista. I don't have XP anymore ...
16. Hi Lee, one of the advantages of EFB DisplayUnit is that it includes the ability to run on several computers simultaneously. You don't have to download another program, just use the same installer that you already have on your computer (don't forget to apply the SP3 too). To run a DisplayUnit on another computer than on the DataProviders/FSX computer, you must first share the DataProviders folder. Please see here for more details: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=217
17. Hi Lee, currently there is no automatic mode which shows you the taxiways. You have to select the named taxiways according to ATC's advisory.
18. Hi Lee, The taxiway selector is available via the "blue" button (e.g. "KBNA Ground") from the main menu. Press the blue button and a submenu will be opened. At the top of this submenu you will find "Select Taxiways". There you can select either "from gate to runway" or "from runway to gate". If FSX is running your current position will be considered, if FSX is not running you can select the starting point from a drop-down menu. The flight information system is a "real time" system. Most of the values presented on the flight information panel are only available when the aircraft is flying. Just after activation of a route many values are only shown as "n.a.". As soon as the aircraft is airborne these values can be calculated. More details can be found in the operations manual, section 8, page 5. Hope this helps.
19. Henry, every program that is running on you computer is using CPU time. I don't know the detailed specs of your computer, so I just can give you some advise in general: - try to reduce the simultaneously selected chart-options (VOR, Range, Compass ...) - try to reduce the Display settings in FSX - maybe some more add-ons are running at the same time? (Anti virus, email, ...)
20. Henry, there are no known circumstances when the the exception is being raised. But I can assure that it has nothing to do with "payed" or "trial". It's the same program code. To be honest, I don't know. There have been many hints and ideas posted herein, each of them might help. I personally think that it has something to do with the workload of FSX. Maybe it helps to reduce the amount of simultaneously running add-ons which are reading/writing data from/to FSX via SimConnect? Just a guess ... Sometimes also the hardest way is successful ... a clean re-install of FSX
21. Hi Todd, this is definitely not normal. The error message is raised by the system (say ".net framework") and not by EFB. EFB only collects and writes them into the logfile. I can't really advise what to do in such a situation. Hope this helps.
22. Hi Neal, the "free" AIRAC cycle which is included in the 1.3.1 setup, is cycle 1101. If you're flying online, then it seems to be somehow necessary to have the most recent cycle. It you don't fly online, it's up to you whether you like to have the most recent procedures. AIRAC cycles (from Navigraph) provide all the procedures data (Standard Instrument Departure Routes (SID), Standard Terminal Arrival Routes (STAR), and also approach procedures to approx. 3'500 airports worldwide. These are all IFR procedures, none of them is VFR.
23. Solved. It was due to a wrong folder setting for the FSX flight plans.
