  1. Is it possible to view roads and hiways on the main map page ?
  2. I know there are provisions to view air traffic from Vatsim in EFB, but is it possible to view air traffic that is generated from Ultimate Traffic 2 as well ? Thanks, Lee
  3. As an update, last night I loaded my flight as normal, with location, time and aircraft, but I DID NOT load a flight plan in FSX. I then opened Aivlasoft EFB Data Provider and Display Unit and loaded my flight plan in EFB only and the flight worked perfectly ! Not sure if this is the ideal way to load flight plans, but it worked smoothly. Thanks, Lee
  4. What is the proper way to select and load a Flight Plan that is used frequently ? Currently, I have FSX with EFB Data Provider and the Display Unit is on a laptop. My normal routine is to, 1 Start FSX 2 Load my plane 3 Select my location at the gate 4 Select the time I'm flying. 5 Load by clicking FLY NOW. 6 When everything comes up, I set up the Alt, Hdg, Air Speed, Course Hdg, GPS. 7 Then I click FLIGHTS, then LOAD, then I choose the Flight Plan I wish to fly, then OK. My question is, do I still have to do all this if I'm going to load my flight plan in the EFB Display Unit ? I also use REX and it has it's own Flight Plan utility. I'm just having a hard time grasping the concept of the correct way to load the flight plans and the way they relate to the respective Add Ons. Thanks, Lee
  5. Excellent information !!! Thank you, Lee
  6. On the enroute chart displayed on the EFB, is the T/D calculated from the end of the runway that you are landing on ? I'm finding that when I am following a STAR and there is an altitude restriction, the T/D that is listed does not give me enough time to descend from my cruise alt to reach the altitude restriction. Is there a way around this, or am I doing something wrong ? Thanks, Lee
  7. No problem. I finally figured out the process to view hidden files and folders in XP. To display hidden files and folders Open Folder Options in Control Panel. Click Start, and then click Control Panel. Double-click Folder Options. On the View tab, under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders. Everything else, seems to be the same. Thanks, Lee
  8. Thanks for the info. The FAQ topic that you referred to, does it apply to XP with the FSX and DataProvider installed or is it just for Windows 7/Vista ? Thanks, Lee
  9. When I originally downloaded and purchased the key, I did this for running the DataProvider and DisplayUnit on 1 single PC. I would like to add a laptop to run the DisplayUnit. I assume I will have to go back and reconfigure the setup and download the DisplayUnit on the laptop and setup a LAN for my PC and laptop. My question is, will I have to download a different version of the program to do this or just change the settings of the program I'm currently using ? The PC running FSX and DataProvider is XP Home and the Laptop running the DisplayUnit is Windows 7. Thanks, Lee
  10. Thanks for the info. That all makes sense. I don't know how I overlooked the blue KBNA Ground tab, but it was there and it allowed me to select Parking to Runway. When I activated the button in the lower right hand corner, I could still see my plane parked at the gate, but there wasn't a route highlighted showing which taxiways to take to get to that runway. Have I missed another step or should I select the taxiways that ATC gives me ? And yes, the information was populated concerning TOC and TOD and distance remaining after I took off. Again, thanks for the help and producing a wonderful product. Lee
  11. At what point are you allowed to select a route to taxi from the gate to the runway ? I see this process discussed in the Operation Manual in Section 7, page 15, but I'm unable to find the option to do this in the EFB. It appears to be part of the Ground Chart Submenu, however, I didn't have that submenu in the first 2 flights that I've completed. Both were at KBNA. Also, on the Flight Information Panel, the Cruise Altitude is listed, but the distance to Top of Climb and Top of Descent and distance to Next Waypoint and Destination is filled in with "N/A". I'm certain I've overlooked something simple. Thanks, Lee
  12. I'm testdriving the EFB program and really like it. One question I have is on the Enroute charts I noticed that along the flight route the letters "DCT" are listed. Does this refer to the point along the route that you could begin your decent ? Thanks. Lee
