  1. Hi Robert Automatic switching the DB is only possible if there is only one database for each simulator. If you have more than one database for a certain simulator, EFB cannot know which of them shall be the one to be loaded. That's the cause for displaying the information as on your screenshot 1. The DbBuilder will be started because you have to manually select the Database to be loaded. This is done on the first tab 'Create/Select EFB Database'. If you select the first tab in the DbBuilder ('Create/Select EFB Database') you see a list of currently available databases. Usually there is only one database for a certain simulator, except you have created a second (or third ...) database from the same simulator but from a different, old and no longer existing AIRAC cycle. If there are older databases from MSFS which were built using older AIRAC cycles you might delete these old databases.
  2. Hello, the database in EFB is built from the navaids available in your simulator. Only navaids which are available in the simulator are available on the map. There is no possibility to add "user-defined-navaids", because they could not be tuned.
  3. Hello, not all users have more than one screen on their Client PC. Some of them have only one but a little screen and they are happy about every space they can get. Therefore the Client can be maximized to "real-full-screen" by leaving out the window borders. Similar to the Windows maximize function (double click onto the title bar of a window) this feature is toggled by double clicking onto the airport name area. BTW, it's not only the small area which you have highlighted on your screenshot, it's the entire area on top of the map (green area below).
  4. Hi Lukas, unfortunately we do not have access to the Beta version so we cannot test or verify your complaint. I guess we have to wait until SU9 is available officially.
  5. Hi Jean-Claude it is a misunderstanding that MSFS provides the new AIRAC cycle datasets each 28 days, like it is done by Navigraph and Aerosoft. MSFS updates the AIRAC cycle dataset from time to time when it updates the software itself. Apart from that, MSFS uses the NavBlue dataset which is not as complete as the datasets from Lufthansa/LIDO and Jeppesen are. Therefore EFB still relies on the datasets from Navigraph and Aerosoft. EFB is a tool for several different simulators (FSX, P3D, X-Plane, MSFS) and therefore it has to use a common dataset which is the ARINC-424 coded data files from Jeppesen and Lufthansa/LIDO. Only this way we can provide all the IFR procedures for all the simulators each 28 days.
  6. Hi Juergen The databases are located as follows: C:\Users\<username>\Documents\AivlaSoft\EFB2\Server\DbBuilder\Ready Each database has its own folder and each database is also listed in the file 'databases.txt'. Deleting only a certain database might be complicated. It's easier to delete all databases together and then (re-)create the database according to your needs. To delete all databases, quit the DbBuilder (if running) and remove all the folders in the above mentioned path, including the file 'databases.txt'. The above mentioned path should be empty afterwards. Then start the DbBuilder.exe again and create the database you need.
  7. Hi John, Africa is not available. As described in the manuals, creation of contour lines from ASTER data is a time consuming process and therefore only the most frequent regions are available. Please see the manual "5 EN Client.pdf", section 10 "Terrain".
  8. Could you please describe in more detail where it only shows as a fix? Which simulator, and which AIRAC cycle?
  9. Hi Michael, please comply with the forum rules and write your post in English, thanks. Explanation of the error message: Each 'TaxiwayPath' in a BGL-file has an index to a start point and an index to an end point. Some of these points obviously could not have been found in the respective BGL file. Either the index is missing, or the index is wrong.
  10. Hi Darren it seems that the file 'add-on.cfg' contains an unreadable line. If you scroll a bit up on that screen (which you have posted) you will see the entire path to the file. I suggest to open the file, using a text editor like notepad.exe, and then look for and possibly correct this line.
  11. To investigate connection troubles we always need support files from both, Server and Client. Both support files must cover the same time span.
  12. Checklists and Profiles have to be 'synchronized' manually between different Clients. A checklist must be located in the Client's data structure in the 'Checklists' folder, then start the Profile Editor and assign the checklist to a certain profile (or profiles).
  13. Hi JaapV thanks for reporting this. It will be fixed with next update.
  14. Hello You can write it as follows: S23.521833W46.642249 The data format allows 1 to 6 decimal places but NO blanks between the latitude part and the longitude part.
  15. Thanks for the support file. Unfortunately there is not much content to analyze in the different log files. In other words, I have no idea what happens on your system. I can only guess that with the installation of P3D v5.3 something relevant has been changed in a way that EFB is no longer able to read the required data files. Two things make me puzzled: 1) The warning that the folder 'C:\Users\Greyh\Documents\Prepar3D v5 Add-ons' does not contain an add-on.xml. Why is this folder listed in the add-ons.cfg in 'C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5' but does not contain an add-on.xml? 2) After the line "Reading add-ons.cfg in 'C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5' no error and no warning is logged, just the closing of the DbBuilder. It seems that the reading process stops - or it cannot find anything to read. It seems that I can not help much more in this case.
  16. Helmut, as lonewulf47 already requested above, we need a set of support files for further investigation. Just providing a screenshot of the logfile window does not help.
  17. There is no blue fake aircraft ?!?. Please describe your issue in detail, thanks.
  18. Did you run the DbBuilder (Function "Update Simulator") after installation of JustSim EDDS?
  19. Hi Frans, To find the installation path, look for the file 'UserCfg.opt'. The path to this file is: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache Open this file and scroll to the end of it. There you will find a line starting with "InstalledPackagesPath". This is the installation path.
  20. Hi Peter, the taxiway names are simply not available in the underlying BGL file. I'm not sure what you mean with 'NO runway letters (A B etc.)' . Are you talking about the parking spots? Runways have no letters A, B ..
  21. Hi Ron I guess this is a 'let down' or 'circling approach' procedure because it has no runway identifier in the name of the procedure. Due to legal restrictions we don't receive these kind of approaches from Navigraph.
  22. Hi Bernd, EFB is getting traffic data from FSUIPC which is reading this data from the simulator. There is no other way of getting traffic data (except 'snapshot' data from the online networks VATSIM and IVAO). No direct connection between EFB and UT. If the error appears in both programs in the same way, the reason for the problem must be found in or before the data source which supplies these two programs.
