  1. I just wanted to add some information about the 'skipped' feature: Which folders and files will be skipped can be defined in a file named 'BglSceneryExclude.txt' (for P3D, FSX), or 'BglSceneryExcludeMsfs.txt' for MSFS. These two configuration files are located in 'C:\Users\<username>\Documents\AivlaSoft\EFB2\Server\DbBuilder\Base'. As lonewulf47 already mentioned above, these definitions only include locations which have not to be scanned and therefore shall speed-up the entire scanning process of the DbBuilder.

  3. Sorry, my fault. We had to change the gate numbers logic because MSFS provides gate numbers like "D52A" (with a letter at the end). P3D, FSX provide letter and number only. Therefore a rebuild of the database (function 'Update simulator') is necessary. I will add a hint to the announcement.
  4. Hi Rolando I have no idea what's going wrong on your side because build #132 has absolutely nothing to do with aircraft profiles. Does the Client not automatically select the correct profile according to the currently running aircraft in the simulator, or did you manually select a profile and the Client does not load this profile instead of loading the default profile? If the distance remaining is increasing then you most probably have not properly passed a waypoint (properly means 'within a radius of 3 NM'). You can re-sync the logic by selecting your next waypoint in front of you via the 'Direct-To' function.
  5. Nico there is no rollback possible. If you experience any troubles with the ground charts, please create a set of support files and upload them here. Apart from the creation of the support files, please describe the issue in detail (which airport, which developer, what is incorrect etc. etc. ). We need certain information before we can start to investigate.
  6. Update 2.3 #132 was necessary due to a bug in #131 which prevented a proper update of the VATSIM FIR boundaries. Sorry for any inconvenience. We also had to change the gate numbers logic because MSFS provides gate numbers like "D52A" (with a letter at the end). P3D, FSX provide letter and number only. Therefore a rebuild of the database (function 'Update simulator') is necessary.
  7. Did you also update the Server to #131 ?
  8. Philip, I would like to kindly draw your attention to the fact that we are not obliged to provide profiles for every aircraft available on the flightsim market. We are also not able to access the required data for all these aircraft. But we have developed and provide a Profile Editor with which you can create new, or update existing profiles at your discretion. I assume you are a licensed FSL A320SL user so I assume that YOU have access to the data required to change, or even create a profile for this aircraft.
  9. EFB Client is using the default audio device. There is no possibility to configure specific devices.
  10. The reason for not displaying the ATIS text anymore when connected with IVAO is because they have changed their data format. I have to update the source code of EFB to reflect these latest changes. The ATIS text will be back with next EFB update.
  11. You might try this one: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages
  12. Hi Brian Could you please provide a screenshot so I can see how it looks? Thanks.
  13. Hi Pete, the logfile seems not to be a logfile from EFB. More or less all lines in this logfile are related to graphics, video, gpu, screen etc. but not to TCP/IP. Could you please create a support file from the Server and upload it here? Thanks a lot.
  14. EFB does not support the FsHub data format, sorry.
  15. It seems that they have again changed their data format. I will need some time for further investigations.
  16. Unfortunately the resolution of the screenshot is too low therefore I cannot read the details on it.
  17. Hi Scott thanks for uploading the support files. It seems that the connection with X-Plane does not properly work. From what I can see in the logfile, the settings in EFB seem to be OK. Did you change anything in X-Plane or did you run an update in X-Plane? See below a screenshot of the settings in my computer. Check the port numbers (red rectangle on the right side), especially the two legacy ports for receive and send. On your computer they should be set according to the values in the screenshot below. Also check whether the 'Incoming requests' are allowed (red rectangle on the bottom).
  18. EFB v1 was designed in another way. There were no 'free-floating' windows. EFBv2 allows to place every window at the users discretion. Location and size will be saved and applied again when the window is opened next time. Docking the ATC window is not possible because this would require some in-depth changes in the architecture.
  19. Hi Robert Automatic switching the DB is only possible if there is only one database for each simulator. If you have more than one database for a certain simulator, EFB cannot know which of them shall be the one to be loaded. That's the cause for displaying the information as on your screenshot 1. The DbBuilder will be started because you have to manually select the Database to be loaded. This is done on the first tab 'Create/Select EFB Database'. If you select the first tab in the DbBuilder ('Create/Select EFB Database') you see a list of currently available databases. Usually there is only one database for a certain simulator, except you have created a second (or third ...) database from the same simulator but from a different, old and no longer existing AIRAC cycle. If there are older databases from MSFS which were built using older AIRAC cycles you might delete these old databases.
  20. Hello, the database in EFB is built from the navaids available in your simulator. Only navaids which are available in the simulator are available on the map. There is no possibility to add "user-defined-navaids", because they could not be tuned.
  21. Hello, not all users have more than one screen on their Client PC. Some of them have only one but a little screen and they are happy about every space they can get. Therefore the Client can be maximized to "real-full-screen" by leaving out the window borders. Similar to the Windows maximize function (double click onto the title bar of a window) this feature is toggled by double clicking onto the airport name area. BTW, it's not only the small area which you have highlighted on your screenshot, it's the entire area on top of the map (green area below).
  22. Hi Lukas, unfortunately we do not have access to the Beta version so we cannot test or verify your complaint. I guess we have to wait until SU9 is available officially.
  23. Hi Jean-Claude it is a misunderstanding that MSFS provides the new AIRAC cycle datasets each 28 days, like it is done by Navigraph and Aerosoft. MSFS updates the AIRAC cycle dataset from time to time when it updates the software itself. Apart from that, MSFS uses the NavBlue dataset which is not as complete as the datasets from Lufthansa/LIDO and Jeppesen are. Therefore EFB still relies on the datasets from Navigraph and Aerosoft. EFB is a tool for several different simulators (FSX, P3D, X-Plane, MSFS) and therefore it has to use a common dataset which is the ARINC-424 coded data files from Jeppesen and Lufthansa/LIDO. Only this way we can provide all the IFR procedures for all the simulators each 28 days.
  24. Hi Juergen The databases are located as follows: C:\Users\<username>\Documents\AivlaSoft\EFB2\Server\DbBuilder\Ready Each database has its own folder and each database is also listed in the file 'databases.txt'. Deleting only a certain database might be complicated. It's easier to delete all databases together and then (re-)create the database according to your needs. To delete all databases, quit the DbBuilder (if running) and remove all the folders in the above mentioned path, including the file 'databases.txt'. The above mentioned path should be empty afterwards. Then start the DbBuilder.exe again and create the database you need.
  25. Hi John, Africa is not available. As described in the manuals, creation of contour lines from ASTER data is a time consuming process and therefore only the most frequent regions are available. Please see the manual "5 EN Client.pdf", section 10 "Terrain".
