  1. Derek, that sounds indeed a bit strange. We have to check that. Usually an update does not do anything to the port number. Only a full install does. Anyway thanks for reporting!
  2. Yes, of course it's all in the apt.dat. Nobody said someting else. We all know these specs, do we? Maybe you have missed what I wrote above. We do presently not use taxi routes. apt.dat does not know taxilines. It only knows LINEAR FEATURES and SURFACES. You cannot define a Linear Feature as a distinct taxiline. It's just a line like all others. The line code is not sifnificant as it may be used in any random way by the designer.
  3. Torsten, Our goal is to draw - as we do for MS-based aiports - the airport layout exactly as it is used in the simulator - be it an AddOn or not. We therefore use data derived from the simulator. This also includes possible position errors used by a few AddOns. The products you mentioned use OSM data, which are always from Real Life. We do not inted to change this policy as not everybody has hundreds of AddOns representing real life Airports.
  4. Jean-Claude, Yes, sorry, my mistake. Your signature appears normally. Maybe I was a bit distracted from other business. As for the updating, it is not possible for us to verify why your server did not report the update. We always do a full test with the actual Servers and Clients to verify recognition of the coming updates. More important however is that you could solve the problem. Thanks for reporting.
  5. Hi ??? (please observe the forum rules) As it is completely impossible to find out about the present state of your installation, I propose to uninstall EFB completely and reinstall with the latest installers. Do not try to uninstall anything manually, but use the uninstallation feature provided by windows. In any case you need to un- and re-install both Server and Client to come back into a functional state.
  6. It's a bit like comparing apples to oranges. EFB V2.1 is deriving all available information from the apt.dat. Basically the apt.dat does only depict surfaces (taxiways) and lines (linear feature). This as such does not allow a too much detailed ground mapping as the linear feature can depict ANY line on the airport layout. There is no direct specification for a taxiway centerline. Nevertheless as EFB is undergoing constant development, we cannot rule out that at a later stage the taxiroutes as defined in spec 1100 will be able to provide some more information on taxiways. For the time being however, the use of taxiroutes is of an extremely varying quality and completeness. This is entirely the developer's responsibility. If we see an increasing quality in those applications, we might of course consider enhancing our taxi system also for X-Plane use. Time will show - no commitment though.
  7. I see, you are talking of FlightFactors plugin, only available at X-Plane runtime, don't you?
  8. Hi ??? (please observe the forum rules) What exactly did you do in what order? From your description this is not clear. The order should be: - update server - update client - rebuild database(s) - start EFB
  9. Hi ??? Would you be kind enough to explain what you are talking about whn using the term FF AVS?
  10. Important Additional Information When creating the X-Plane database, make sure that none of your airports is below X-Plane Specification 1000. This can easily be checked on the second line of the respective apt.dat. Airports with lower specifications may generate a warning and will not be displayed.
  11. This airport is included in the default collection of P3D. No idea about other Simulators. As the airport has a RWY length of only 838 m, it might be filtered by the present profile requiring a longer RWY. Check the settings in the Airport Search Window.
  12. Yes indeed, those circling approaches (not assigned to a RWY) are missing in both Navigraph and NavDataPro database! We at Aivlasoft are also eagerly waiting for those approaches as EFB v2 would be able to depict it. Neither Navigraph nor NavDataPro have commited themselves to future publishing. We never give up hope though...😃
  13. No, EFB V2.1 is a free upgrade for current users and for demo users just another download to get the most current version. Nevertheless I would recommend to read the description about differences to 2.0, especially when it comes to X-Plane users. The description will soon be online.
  14. Hi Pierre, See here: https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/3005-afcad/
  15. Ok, just in case the "loud buzz" is annoyig you, you can change it to a more common sound at the Client Settings/Sounds dialog window. The AIRAC waring is issued because you don't have the most recent AIRAC Cycle. You can of course ignore this warning. The "minima" warning is issued because one of the minima files in the \minima folder is corrupt. I presume that is is the EHAM.txt. You may download a more recent one here: https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/3003-minima/ Just unzip the downloaded EHAM.txt into the \minima folder.
  16. Hi Manfred, BTW the title says taxi-in ISO taxi-out...😉 Nevertheless I can't duplicate your findings. I did a fresh start at (Cargo) 2 Position and selected "taxi-out" to RWY 23R and got a decent result: See picture:
  17. Hi Michael, EFB can only draw what is available in the dataset. Ufortunately for the Missed Appoach the followng Hold over POS is not defined in the FINAL description. That's why it uses its own default definition of a holding on the final inbound course. Maybe at a later stage we will have those holding fixes available in the database.
  18. With the proper settings default GMAD is correctly shown. This is however in P3D V4. I do not know whether it is contained in other simulator's default scenery.
  19. Hello ??? Please comply with forum rules, espcially items 2) and 3)! Well, the "Waiting for Server" is not even a warning or error message, it is just a system message during startup amd to be more precise - it is a message on the Client. This thead however is about Server Errors of any kind. So, please open a own thread for your problem and supply as much background information as possible. Refer also to the Forum Rules for this.
  20. Hello ??? Please comply with forum rules! This thread is about Server Error. Your entry is about a Client message "waiting for Server". This is completely different and points to a connection problen of the Client. It if was fine on Saturday then you have changed something in the meantime.
  21. Ok, disregard the part about changing the storing path for Flightplans in the "ServerSettings.txt" files. This path is alyway read from FSUIPC and and thus not alterable. I wasn't aware of that anymore. In a newer build this path is not accessible anymore either. The point is that something with your installation seems to be wrong as FSX:SE is obvioulsy using the FSX Default Data path although in the registry the FSX:SE Data path is available. ATM I don't see any possibility to change this. Did you in the past change the FSX:SE installation in any way?
  22. Die you check in BOTH directories and did you check the timestamp(s) of the "EFB_current_gps.pln" ? Could you please attach the SupportFiles?
  23. That's ok then. Those are the most recent builds. I assume that you have standar installation paths. Then go to C:\Users\<Username>\Documents\AivlaSoft\EFB2\Server\Settings and look for the file "serverSettings.txt" - Make a backup copy of that file then open the original file with a text editor - Look for the section [SimulatorFsxSe] - Within that section look for the line - FlightplanFolder = C:\Users\User\Documents\ Flight Simulator X - Steam Edition Files - Here you should replace this entry with Flight Simulator X Files - Do not change anything else nor add any lines and save the file. - This should replace the Flight Plan path.
  24. Ok, but first we need to sort out a few things about your installation. Please repot the build # of both Server and Client.
  25. To me it seems that for whatever reason I don't know - FSX:SE is accessing and using the FSX default Documents path. I muyt admit that I'm not familiar with the what's and whereabouts of FSX Steam Edition. When and why it is using the default FSX path is completely unknown to me. As a first remedy you can try to change the Flight Plan path manually. Do you have enough knowledge to manually edit a textfile?
