1. Hi Chris, the PDF viewer in EFB is nothing else than a part of the "Internet Explorer". In my opinion it must be a certain setting there. Did you already try to google for "Your current security settings do not allow this file to be downloaded"?
2. Hi Fabio, welcome aboard . I assume that you're using a add-on scenery from LIMC? May I ask you who's the publisher? 1) can you send me the "installation logfile" so I can have a detailed look what happened there? 2) When I have a look at the default FSX installation I can see that MAL is the VOR for Malpensa. Also in respect of pt.1 I must assume that something went wrong when installing the add-on scenery. Somehow the MAL VOR is still available in the BGL files although FSX doesn't show it anymore.
3. Hi Chris, where is the pdf file saved that you want to show, locally (on your computer) or remote (on the internet)? If you try to show the same document in IE, do you get the same error?
4. John, just press the "airplane" symbol on the chart toolbar. The symbol is only available if FSX is connected and running ("green" state).
5. The discount expires 31st May 2011, 23:59:59 (UTC+2)
6. Hi, Due to some emails between Mirko and me, we currently know that from the XP computer you can't reach the Win7 computer using the "ping computername". If he uses "ping IP-address" then it works. So it seems to be a DNS problem? Any ideas?
7. Leif, it has been released today http://www.aivlasoft.com/download/index.html
8. Robert, could you please send me all the logfiles you can find in "Windows Start Menu > All Programs > AivlaSoft > EFB > Logfiles" to support@aivlasoft.com. Thanks.
9. Hi, a quick look into the Navigraph files tells me that Navigraph doesn't provide neither arrival (STAR) nor Approach procedures. There are only a few departure (SID) procedures available.
10. Hi, it seems that you mixed the runway identifiers. On each line you must define the "old" (FSX) and the "new" (Navigraph) identifier for one side of the runway. For LSGS that is: LSGS 07 07L LSGS 25 25R LSGS 08L 08L LSGS 26R 26R Although only the identifiers for runway 07/25 have been changed you must enter the lines for the other runways as well.
11. Hi, the correct lines for LEMG are as follows: LEMG 14 13 LEMG 32 31
12. Salut Jean-Louis thanks in advance for the work! Once you have finished the work, please send it to support@aivlasoft.com. I will just check it and then upload ...
13. Hi Helge, that depends on your personal needs only. If you run a second DisplayUnit on another computer and you like the share the flightplans (routes) then it might be helpful to have them in one shared folder. Library and Aircraft folder are more or less the same thing. If you like to share them, place them in a folder where the other DU has access too. The flightlogs folder should remain separate because both DU's will try to save the flightlog at the same time which could lead to problems.
14. Hi Jlund, according to the forum rules, please sign your posts with your real first name. Thanks. Yes, if it's the same computer than before, there should be no problem using your personal license key to unlock the software again.
15. Hi Marty, as far as I can see (although I don't own an iPad) there has nothing changed concerning iPad support via AirDisplay software.
16. Hi Brad, please see the picture below. From the left to the right you see the 3 different states of the traffic button: 1) FSX is not running, or the corresponding settings are not selected (button is not available). 2) FSX is running, the settings are selected, the mode is "OFF" (button is available but not selected). 3) FSX is running, the settings are selected, the mode is "ON" (button is selected and shown with a yellow border). If you don't see this difference on the DisplayUnit's monitor then you might have changed the color scheme on your computer (maybe to "Windows Classic").
17. Florin, could you please send me all the logfiles to support@aivlasoft.com? Thx. The logfiles can easily be found as follows: Windows Start Menu > All Programs > AivlaSoft > EFB > Logfiles (please do not edit them manually).
18. Jean-Louis, a quick look into the Navigraph files tells me that on both airports (LFMD and LSZA) no approach procedures are available. I'm sure in r/w they have their procedures, but I don't know why these procedures are not included in the current Navigraph cycle. Did you already asked the guys from Navigraph?
19. Helge, currently EFB only supports the *.rt2 file format for aircraft which are developed by PMDG. We are working on a flightplan handler for the JS4100 and also for the MD11 but unfortunately there is no official release date yet. For further information please also read here: viewtopic.php?p=2438#p2438
20. Thanks very much to all of the voters who chose EFB! It's a great honor for our team to get this award, and we feel obliged to make EFB even better in 2011.
21. Hi Mirko, the networking components didn't change anymore since version 1.0.0 so it must be something else that prevents the DataProvider from connecting to the DisplayUnit. Did you install some new hardware like router or anything similiar? Did you change the name of one of the computers?
22. Salut Jean-Louis, could you please provide some more details about the IVAO error? (aircraft on ground, aircraft in flight, when overflying a compulsory waypoint, when the data is updated, ...). Could you also send me the logfiles to support@aivlasoft.com? Re LFRB: I don't have an idea apart from what I already asked above Re "w0.a (c5A_0) w0.b (c5A_0)" exception: I could find the problem and it is fixed now. SP2 is currently being tested by our test team.
23. Hi Ed, did you already check the "cycle_info.txt" file? What is the content of that file? Please see here for more information: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=444
24. Hi all, thanks for helping to narrow down the issue. Will do some tests today and report my findings.
25. Jean-Louis, it's just a matter of the runway assignments in the "Runways.txt" file. Didn't you get a "runway assignment warning" when you selected LFRB for the first time? Please check the "Runways.txt" file on your computer for the following entries: LFRB 08R 07R LFRB 08L 07L LFRB 26R 25R LFRB 26L 25L
