1. Hi Richard, Seems that the ATC guy does not know the whole story ... I just had a look at the VATSIM data feed and NO ATC service is currently providing ATIS data.
2. Hi Rob, Sometimes it's quite "interesting" to compare the input METAR and the output METAR. If you are using a third-party weather engine, have a look at the METAR that is shown there and then pull the METAR from FSX and you will be astonished about the difference.
3. Hi all, I could reproduce it. Under certain circumstances FSX provides 'strange' METAR data. I have now implemented a fix which should solve it. Version 1.3.7 has been sent to the beta team for test.
4. @Wolfgang will give it a try tomorrow, using SP2 beta 5. I hope it is reproducible ... @Rob I tried to install FSrealWx this afternoon, but I wasn't successful. Cannot figure out why ...
5. Hi Firas, - Open "Route Setup" - Press "Select" - Paste the route description into the textbox. Make sure that the description starts with the origin airport ICAO identifier and ends with the ICAO identifier from the destination airport: EHAM ANDIK UN873 TUSKA N873 DODAM UN873 LAKUT EFHK - Press "OK" and ..., please read the operations manual, section 5 "Route setup".
6. @Rob, It seems that FSrealWX doesn't create a proper time stamp in the metar code. If there is a request for weather data from any DisplayUnit, EFB pulls the metar from FSX. EFB doesn't know which weather engine creates the weather. So there is no different behavior possible. @ Wolfgang, are you using one the public beta version of AS2012?
7. Pietro, this is an indication of a possible slow network connection or a low performance (or overloaded) computer. Whenever the DisplayUnit doesn't respond to the DataProvider within a certain time then the DataProvider assumes that the DisplayUnit has been exited. Therefore it disconnects the connection to that DisplayUnit and writes the mentioned message to the logfile.
8. @ all, as per the forum rules, please sign your posts with your real first name. Thanks. Maybe this helps? viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1165
9. Marty, On the desktop PC start Windows Explorer. In the left pane (folder view) scroll down until you see the network node. Open that node. Can you see your laptop there? You must share this folder on your desktop for network access (read/write). Then from the laptop navigate to that share. It must look like "\\Computername\Sharename".
10. Brenden, Could you please send me the logfiles to support@aivlasoft.com? Thanks.
11. Hi Rob, Maybe they have released an update then, or you have installed the update then? I cannot say whether FSrealWX is the cause for the problem. The exception from EFB is thrown when EFB tries to parse the date/time token from the metar string.
12. Hi, seems to be the same as this one?: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1219 As per the forum rules please sign your posts with your real first name. Thanks.
13. Hi Rob, - are you using a third-party weather engine? - if not using a weather engine, which weather theme did you select in FSX? - can you reproduce it or is it a one-time-behavior?
14. Mark, did you run the scenery update from the DataProviders menu after you have renamed the airport?
15. Hi Pietro, could you please send me all the logfiles to support@aivlasoft.com? You can find the files at "C:\Users\pedro\Documents\AivlaSoft\EFB\Logfiles"
16. Hi Pietro, thanks for your reply. You must install the AIRAC cycle for EFB. If you have a look at the website from Navigraph, you will see a list of all available cycle-types. Almost every add-on has its own installer. Now I have installed the "good old" 1101 Airac cycle to see what happens when I select LIML as the departure airport. First what I got is the following warning message: Did you see this message too? On the DataProviders window there are also a lot of warning messages ... I think that this is the reason why you cannot select a departure procedure for LIML. Please read the operations manual, section 2, page 3 and following. There it is explained in detail how to proceed whenever this kind of warning is shown. Hope it helps.
17. Hi Willow, That's up to you. If you want to use up-to-date navigation data when you fly then you should update the Navigraph data. If that's not so important to you, then you may go with the included 1101 cycle. Just run the Navigraph installer on the computer where FSX and the DataProvider is installed. After the installer has finished restart the DataProvider.
18. Hi Pietro, - do you run the latest software version 1.3.6 of both components (DataProvider and DisplayUnit)? - which navdata provider do you use? Aerosoft or Navigraph? - which AIRAC cycle have you installed on your computer? - do you have a third party add-on scenery or are you using the stock scenery? - maybe you can provide a screenshot from the procedure selection dialog?
19. Hi, maybe this helps: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1211 As per the forum rules please sign your posts with your real first name. Thank you!
20. Hi Bill, I must say that I have never used the Multiplayer feature yet, so I'm afraid that I cannot say how is EFB 's behavior in this regard. But what you can do is to open the "AI aircraft monitor" from the DataProviders "Data" menu. This at least will show the outcome of SimConnect concerning other traffic. If you see the other guys there, then they should also be shown on the DisplayUnit. If they are not listed in the monitor I guess that SimConnect doesn't provide this information. Please let me know your findings.
21. Firas, I cannot support the installation of "The eye". This is software from IVAO, but once you have successfully installed IvAe "The eye" you must open the EFB settings and point to the "data" folder of IvAe. This way EFB can read the files from that folder.
22. Thanks Firas for the feedback. I'm glad that you have sorted out the problem.
23. Hi Firas, I'm pretty sure the key works but I guess that somewhere else is a problem that we will figure out. Could you please send me a screenshot where I can see how the screen looks BEFORE you press the button "Install License" and then a second screenshot where I can see the error message which appears AFTER you have pressed the button. Thank you.
24. Hi Graeme, Do you mean that you couldn't switch/change the view in the NGX cockpit down to the center pedestal to select the frequencies, or do you mean that you couldn't set these frequencies through EFB? EFB can only set the COM1 and COM2 frequencies by a right click on the frequency which appears at the top of the chart.
25. Curt, If you have a look at the directory "SIDSTARS" from your navigation data provider (either Navigraph or Aerosoft) you will find all airports which have any procedures available. If I open the file "GCHI.txt" (from Navigraph and Aerosoft) I can see that there is no departure route for runway 34 available. Therefore this runway is not listed in EFB for selecting a departure route.
