1. Hi Richard, without having had a look into the 'old' code, I would say yes.
2. Hi Richard and Jerry, thanks for the report. It's true, EFB Version 1.x cannot handle multiple ILS frequencies, but EFB reads the frequencies from the BGL files, not from the wpnavapt.txt file. I will have a look on how to fix this with the next version 1.3.7.
3. Firas, Upon your registration you have accepted the rules of this forum. So please don't start trying to be "funny" if I kindly ask you to follow the rules.
4. Firas, as per the forum rules please sign your posts with your real first name. Thanks. Maybe you can try to create a signature using the user control panel. What means "some"? Maybe you have to select more chart options to see more information? Have a look at the manual, section 7, page 14. Maybe that's what you're missing?
5. Hi Leon, ah, now I see, you mean the "flight information panel" ... If you experience that the distance to the destination is increasing after you have changed the route, just open the "Direct-To" panel and manually select your next waypoint. This will re-align the internal algorithm.
6. Hi, as per the forum rules please sign your posts with your real first name. Thanks. Can you describe in more detail what you did (step by step)?
7. @ Sunil, 1) FAOJ seems to be an unknown airport code. Which airport do you mean (airport name and city). 2) Neither Navigraph nor Aerosoft provides departure procedures for FADN (Durban) 3) FAJS (Johannesburg) recently changed to FAOR. You must use a scenery which supports this new ICAO code. @ Leon, 1) the destination airport WADD (Denpasar) shows an ILS for runway 27 (at least here on my computer) 2) to enter a fix into the flight plan please refer to the operations manual, section 5, page 15
8. Hi Don, basically the filename "metar_report.xml" seems to be correct. Did you also select "Rex essentials plus" as the weather provider in the metar module?
9. Hi Erdal, you don't have to change any things in the file "wpNavApt". You have to update the "Runways.txt" file. Please read the manual, section 2, starting at page 3. There you will find detailed instructions on how to update the "Runways.txt" file.
10. Hi, as per the forum rules, please sign your posts with your real first name. Thanks. Which file do you reference in the DisplayUnit settings?
11. Hi Richard, Seems that the ATC guy does not know the whole story ... I just had a look at the VATSIM data feed and NO ATC service is currently providing ATIS data.
12. Hi Rob, Sometimes it's quite "interesting" to compare the input METAR and the output METAR. If you are using a third-party weather engine, have a look at the METAR that is shown there and then pull the METAR from FSX and you will be astonished about the difference.
13. Hi all, I could reproduce it. Under certain circumstances FSX provides 'strange' METAR data. I have now implemented a fix which should solve it. Version 1.3.7 has been sent to the beta team for test.
14. @Wolfgang will give it a try tomorrow, using SP2 beta 5. I hope it is reproducible ... @Rob I tried to install FSrealWx this afternoon, but I wasn't successful. Cannot figure out why ...
15. Hi Firas, - Open "Route Setup" - Press "Select" - Paste the route description into the textbox. Make sure that the description starts with the origin airport ICAO identifier and ends with the ICAO identifier from the destination airport: EHAM ANDIK UN873 TUSKA N873 DODAM UN873 LAKUT EFHK - Press "OK" and ..., please read the operations manual, section 5 "Route setup".
16. @Rob, It seems that FSrealWX doesn't create a proper time stamp in the metar code. If there is a request for weather data from any DisplayUnit, EFB pulls the metar from FSX. EFB doesn't know which weather engine creates the weather. So there is no different behavior possible. @ Wolfgang, are you using one the public beta version of AS2012?
17. Pietro, this is an indication of a possible slow network connection or a low performance (or overloaded) computer. Whenever the DisplayUnit doesn't respond to the DataProvider within a certain time then the DataProvider assumes that the DisplayUnit has been exited. Therefore it disconnects the connection to that DisplayUnit and writes the mentioned message to the logfile.
18. @ all, as per the forum rules, please sign your posts with your real first name. Thanks. Maybe this helps? viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1165
19. Marty, On the desktop PC start Windows Explorer. In the left pane (folder view) scroll down until you see the network node. Open that node. Can you see your laptop there? You must share this folder on your desktop for network access (read/write). Then from the laptop navigate to that share. It must look like "\\Computername\Sharename".
20. Brenden, Could you please send me the logfiles to support@aivlasoft.com? Thanks.
21. Hi Rob, Maybe they have released an update then, or you have installed the update then? I cannot say whether FSrealWX is the cause for the problem. The exception from EFB is thrown when EFB tries to parse the date/time token from the metar string.
22. Hi, seems to be the same as this one?: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1219 As per the forum rules please sign your posts with your real first name. Thanks.
23. Hi Rob, - are you using a third-party weather engine? - if not using a weather engine, which weather theme did you select in FSX? - can you reproduce it or is it a one-time-behavior?
24. Mark, did you run the scenery update from the DataProviders menu after you have renamed the airport?
