  1. EFB is not responsible for corrupt or incomplete scenery installation on your computer. You need to clean up your installations first. Renaming the add-ons.cfg simply means that it is excluded from being scanned. Not a valid option for a database-rebuild. I suggest deleting all old databases and rebuild it from scratch. That's done in a few minutes and can all be done from within the Dbuilder.
  2. Hi Alex, i don't see any ERROR in the attached LogFile. There is only a WARNING, that the scenery.cfg contains erroneous entries such as GCXO. BTW, did you want to CREATE a new database or to UPDATE an existing database? According to the LogFile you choose the Function "Update Simulator" ISO "Create/Select EFB Database".
  3. George, I must admit that I'm not really sure what you mean. Just for the records: 1S2 Darrington Muni is an airfield with a RWY of 757 x 12 meters and is showing up normally, even as default. You might need to check which A/C you are using. If the A/C's minimum requirend RWY length is above 757 m, you need to switch off the "PRFL Filter in the Airport Selection Window. In any case the airport will not be suitable for your A/C in use. That's why this filter is there.
  4. Well, we choose to make it a certain time instead a distance. That's why the legend also mentions "play sound XX minutes before T/D"😀 As the main criterion for a warning before TOD is preparation time, it is not so terribly unlogical to make it a time😉... Just take it more narrowly, say 2 min, and you're - depending on the A/C in use - some 10 to 14 NM before TOD.
  5. Well, that's strange as I don't have any problem with that. I have two setups, one with one sinlge coputer and one with the Client on a remote computer. Both systems play the sound normally. Be advised that for sound control on the remote computer you might need to adjust the sound volume on the WINDOWS loudspeaker symbol. To check inflight there's a small trick: Wait until you are clearly within the 10 min distance (for a Jet typically closer than 60-80 NM to regular TOD) and then trigger the "adj CRZ ALT" at the RSB. This will recalculate the distance and play the sound again, even when it has been played before. So you can replay the sound as many times as you want to eventually adjust the sound volume.
  6. Hi Ray, Here it works perfectly. Have you added your desired sound in the Settings Dialog/Tab "Sound".... and also enabled "Vertical Guidance) in the respective Aircraft Profile?
  7. Please refrain from posting the same issue on different threads, I have deleted your post in the adjacent thread. Your problem is not on the Server side. Have you properly updated Server AND Client? Have you checked the Client connection in the settings? See page 19 of the Client Manual. As you obviously work with a remote Client, plase also check your firewall settings. And furthermore it would be very helpful if you could stick to the Forum Rules whenever posting an issue.
  8. Well, DropBox is also cached on your computer. That's why we do not recommend using external storage of any kind. OTOH if you know for sure that you haven't added any scenery, simply answer the question about rebuilding the database with NO. No harm is done that way.
  9. No, I was more referring to caches like OneDrive, DropBox or similar. Nevertheless I must admit that I have no idea as to what extent emptying the scenery cache can have an influence on the scenery.cfg file. Maybe you coud try once without emptying the scenery cache?
  10. No, this is not correct. I assume you're talking of P3D or similar? obviously something is rewriting your configuration file, as EFB checks the hash code of this file when starting up. This may depend on the way your installation is comfigured. You do not - by chance - have anything running on any kind of cache?
  11. As long as the input field "Installation Path" is highlighted yellow, the DbBuilder indicates that this path is not valid. Please enter the correct path from the UserCfg.opt as mentioned above. As soon as the DbBuilder recognized a vaild path, the yellow highlighting will disappear. You can either select the path from the selection button on the right or copy/paste it directly into the input field.
  12. Not sure what you are looking for. the installation path in your above post is correct. If your are looking for the path where your Add-Ons are installed, then proceed as follows: Look for the file UserCfg.opt. It should be located in: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\LocalCache\ Within that file look for the entry: InstalledPackagesPath, e.g. InstalledPackagesPath "D:\MFS". The path between the " " is the installation path for your Add-Ons.
  13. This would be the Heliport of the District Hospital in Faro, Portugal?!?!
  14. Hi Apostolos, Yes, that's an interesting case. Can you guide me to the Add-On you are using for LGTS? I'll have a look at it Intererstingly the LGTS1.BGL also contains only ONE RWY, but that's 10/28. See below the decoded part of the LGTS1.BGL: Record type: 0x0056 MFS Airport ICAO: LGTS, Lat/Lng 40.52539, 22.97270, MagVar 0.0, Elev 5ft Runways: 1 RW10/28 Length:3171m Width:54m 10: HDG 103.8°T ILS Ident '-' RW-Begin:40.52369, 22.94950 RW-End:40.51691, 22.98594 28: HDG 283.8°T ILS Ident '-' RW-Begin:40.51691, 22.98594 RW-End:40.52369, 22.94950 I have an idea on what is happening here. My guess is that the Add-On BGL only contains the additional RWY 10/28. While MSFS obviously can handle more than one BGL for the same airport, EFB can't. So it is depicting the default airport with the RWY 16/34, as this has a higher priority than the Add-On. If I can have a look at this Add-On, I will see more. EFB normally needs ONE BGL with the complete airport layout, as it is used under normal conditions.Well see what can be done here. Edit: in the meantime I have found the Freeware Add-On for LGTS.
  15. According to this list WAMT does not exist anymore. Comparing the coordinates in several publications indeed both airports share the same location for the ARP. Two airports at the same location wiht different ICAO codes is simply not possible in EFB. Could you point me to the download of WAEE AddOn? I could have a look at the problem and try to find a solution. Funny enough in my P3D V4.5 installation WAMT does NOT exist, but only WAEE !! A short check with P3DV5.1 also shows WAEE, however with a slightly different RWY location. According to the coordinates the position of the P3DV5.1 default RWY is correct while the P3DV4.5 RWY is slightly misplaced. I fail to understand why your P3DV4.5 does not have WAEE in the default database.
  16. Bob, nevertheless it sounds a bit strange to me. I have the same entry and it works perfectly. See screenies below:
  17. Hi Ronald, It would be extremely helpful if you could follow the Forum Rules, especially item 3), and give all details about the Simulator in use. Nevertheless to me it looks like an ICAO Code mismatch. The airport you initially landed (according EFB off RWY) shows the ICAO code WAMT, whereas the airport You show upon startup shows as WAEE. You can also clearly see that those two airports do not show up identical in EFB. While WAEE shows a tarmac layout, WAMT does not. Please provide some more details about the airport.
  18. Jason, Basically it's not about adding a Scenery to EFB, but adding a Scenery to your simulator. After having added a scenery to the simulator, re-running the DbBuilder Tab "Update Simulator", the new scenery is automatically added to the Database. See manual "4 Database".
  19. Yes, as the name suggests, the DbBuilder is the ultimate tool for building new databases, adding airports to databases, adding new AIRAC cycles etc. It's definitely worth to read the manual about its handling.
  20. Hi Jason, Correct. I just rechecked on my P3DV4 installation and indeed, SBSG Natal is not included in the default scenery, only in P3DV5. You would require a basic installation with at least an AFCAD BGL for P3DV4 and then run the DbBuilder to include it into your P3DV4 database.
  21. Hi Jason, It would be extremely helpful if you could stick to item 3) of our Forum Rules and provide a bit more information. Generally speaking, you do not add airports to EFB, you add it to the Simulator in use. EFB then reads the airports from the Simulator.
  22. Well, just to make it clear: I'm well aware of the layout of LEMG Malaga Airport with two runways. The thing is that at present the default layout of LEMG Malaga in the MSFS database only consists of the "old" runway 12/30. As long as there is no AddOn representing the newer layout, there is nothing we can do about. It might be necessary to file a report at zendesk to do the necessary corrections or to wait for an AddOn (freeware or payware) to have the current layout.
