  1. Maybe some kind of anti virus software, auto backup software, or similar which has its 'hands' on the file?
  2. Could you please create a support file from the Server and upload it here? It seems that it has to do with an unusually formatted data, you should create the support file soon after the error happened. This way the downloaded and causing data file will be included in the support file. If the downloaded file is not included, it cannot be analyzed.
  3. Hi Stephan thank you very much for your kind words on EFB. At the moment we have no such plans, but I will have a look at it. As far as I have seen on Hoppie's website, there are already some free ACARS-Clients available?
  4. Hi Ray, In EFB you can define a kind of a blacklist for folders and (bgl-)files to exclude them from the scanning process. Have a look at the following location (default installation path): C:\Users\<username>\Documents\AivlaSoft\EFB2\Server\DbBuilder\Base. There you can see two files which start with 'BglSceneryExclude...', one is exclusively for MSFS whereas the other is for FSX and all versions of P3D. Just open the appropriate file with any text editor (like Notepad.exe). On top of the file you will find detailed instructions about how to create an exclude definition. If you have any questions, feel free to ask here.
  5. No map: looks like there is an error which prevents the Client from depicting the entire map. No airports: looks like the database has not (yet) been built. As already asked for, please create a set of support files and then upload them here for further analysis. Thanks.
  6. Thanks a lot for your words. When I was developing EFBv2 I would have had such 3-dimensional data available, but it wasn't. Therefore the entire development was done based on the 2-dimensional data. Although this data is now available, any kind of implementation would raise a lot of questions on how to do it. Just displaying the level where the aircraft is currently flying would not be good enough, because a pilot has always to be ahead of his airplane.
  7. With the latest update 2.3 #141 we introduced a new option which allows you to inhibit displaying of the message box. Details see here: Version 2.3 #141 is available now: https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/7943-update-23-141/
  8. Version 2.3 #141 is available now: https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/7943-update-23-141/
  9. Today we have released update 2.3.141. This update fixes the issue that weather data cannot be downloaded anymore. https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/7934-can-no-longer-get-metar-info/ After the Server 2.3. #141 has been quit for the first time, there is a new optional setting in the Server's settings file available, which let you select whether the warning message: "Simulator configuration file has been changed" shall be displayed. This warning message appears only for the simulator types P3D (all versions) and FSX. It is not displayed for MSFS databases. The option is set to 'True' by default, so the message box will appear. Original post see here: https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/3923-simulator-configuration-file-has-been-changed/ If you would like to change the option to inhibit displaying the message box, proceed as follows: Locate the Server's settings file which is (for a default installation path) as follows: C:\Users\<username>\Documents\AivlaSoft\EFB2\Server\Settings Look for the file 'serverSettings.txt' Open this file using a text editor like 'Notepad.exe' Scroll down and look for the section '[DatabaseBuilder]' (see red arrow below) In this section you will see the option 'ShowWarningMessageIfSceneryCfgHasChanged' which is set to 'True' by default. Change the value from 'True' to 'False' and save the file Start EFB Server
  10. I'm sorry, but I don't know what you mean with 'ads'. Are you talking about weather data (METAR, TAF)? If so, please see here: https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/7934-can-no-longer-get-metar-info/ Or are you talking about database building errors after installation of REX AccuSeason? Then please see here: https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/7911-error-in-database-creation-with-msfs-rex-accuseason/ Else, please create a set of support files and upload them here for further analysis. Thanks.
  11. Unfortunately the boundaries of certain sectors change at different altitudes, so it is not clear which boundaries shall be depicted. While I understand your point of view, I can only implement clearly defined requirements, and this is currently not possible, without rewriting major parts of the current implementation, as explained already above.
  12. I guess that this is the same issue as here: https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/7911-error-in-database-creation-with-msfs-rex-accuseason/
  13. https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/7911-error-in-database-creation-with-msfs-rex-accuseason/ and also here: https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/2951-win10-onedrive-cloud/
  14. Thanks to all for reporting. I'm working on a fix.
  15. Thank you for the link to VATGlasses. As far as I can see from the VATGlasses Webclient and the data on GitHub, this data does not cover the entire world, am I right? Another thing which I realized is that this data is not only 2-dimensional (Lat/Long) it is also different regarding the altitude. While this is a good idea, EFB is not designed to depict altitude related data.
  16. Thank you very much for these screenshots. Yes, that's correct. Unfortunately we do not have access to more detailed sector data. Any API which allows to get the current state is a good thing, but without having access to the underlying boundaries and sectors data it's almost useless.
  17. There is no such keyboard implemented, it's just the Windows standard keyboard for touch screens.
  18. The easiest way is to use the search function of the text editor which you use to read the file. Usually this is the shortcut CTRL+F (F for find). Warnings will not prevent the DbBuilder from creating the database, where Errors will do. Warnings are not critical but if possible, it would be good for the stability of the entire system to fix them too.
  19. Currently we do not have plans to introduce this functionality in the near future, but we will probably reconsider our decision if we get more requests regarding this functionality. Please also read this: https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/7927-change-requests/
  20. Changes to an existing application ... ... or in other words, the developer's dilemma regarding change requests. Every now and then we receive requests for small changes, which of course make sense from the requestor's point of view. However, when requesting such a change, it is often forgotten that it is "only" the view of a single user, while the view of the remaining 99.9% of all users is unknown in this respect. Therefore, when implementing a requested change, there is always a risk that the large mass of customers will not agree or will be dissatisfied, which must be avoided. Please do not forget that this is not individual software, it is standard software. Therefore, any request will be put on the internal wish list, but we cannot make any statement about if and when it will be implemented. Thank you for your understanding.
  21. I do not own REX accu season so I cannot say whether these are all the necessary definitions, but these definitions are correct and will exclude all folders (and their subfolders) named this way.
  22. Thanks very much for your tests and reports. A better way than deleting/removing a folder would be to figure out a naming pattern for the files which should be excluded from the scanning process. As you might know, in EFB you can define a kind of a blacklist for folders and (bgl-)files to exclude. Have a look at the following location: C:\Users\<username>\Documents\AivlaSoft\EFB2\Server\DbBuilder\Base. There you can see two files which start with 'BglSceneryExclude...', one is exclusively for MSFS whereas the other is for FSX and all versions of P3D. Just open the file with any text editor (like Notepad.exe). On top of the file you will find detailed explanations about how to use this file. If you have any questions, feel free to ask here.
