  1. Peter, please verify that the folder names for the "FSX flightplans" in the DisplayUnit settings, and in the DataProvider settings, are pointing to the same (right) directory where FSX flight plans are saved.
  2. Hi According to the forum rules, please sign your posts with your real first name. Thanks. Did you already run the DataProvider's "FSX scenery update" after you re-installed the scenery?
  3. Richard, Try to add the following line to your firs.dat file: EHAA:W:NL:Amsterdam:Radar:52.8:4.6 After adding this line, you must restart the DisplayUnit. I think that EFB then will recognize it.

  5. Hi JS, I just had a look into the Navigraph data for ESSA (cycle 1202) but there is no approach procedure listed for runway 26 (also not in cycle 1203). Must be an issue with Navigraph data.
  6. Did you already try to move the EFB window to the other display (press and hold the left mouse key when the mouse pointer is on the titlebar of the EFB window, then drag it to the second monitor)
  7. Hi JS, Adding an extra display doesn't need to reinstall the software. Just plug the cable of the second monitor in to the graphics card and then navigate to: "Windows Start Menu > Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display\Screen Resolution". There you will find a drop down menu "Multiple displays" where you have to select "Extend these displays". Then your second monitor should work.
  8. Hi Chris? it's on my "never-ending-list-of-things-to-do" , but I must tell you that it's not on the top of this list. Development of version 2 has priority.
  9. Reinhard, could you please send all the logfiles to support@aivlasoft.com. Thanks. The files can be located as follows: Windows Start Menu > All Programs > AivlaSoft > EFB > Logfiles. If it's a networked installation, please send me the files from both computers.
  10. Hi Hendrik, if you encounter a difference between what is displayed in VATSpy and EFB (especially "Center" positions), please try the following: Take a screenshot from the "RouteSetup" > Check > "ATC Online" tab and also one from the "Unknown callsigns" tab. Then open your internet browser and load this page http://www.net-flyer.net/DataFeed/vatsim-data.txt Save this page as a textfile. Please send the following items to support@aivlasoft.com: 1) the two screenshots 2) the saved textfile 3) the ServInfo.dat file from your system Maybe I can then figure out why no "Center" position is visible to you. Thanks.
  11. shosi, according to the forum rules, please sign your posts with your real first name. Thx. There is also a tab called "Unknown callsigns". Did you also check whether it was listed there? I'm not really sure whether the problem is in EFB if you manually changed that file . I recommend to download the latest (unedited) ServInfo.dat from VATSIM and give it another try.
  12. Hi Steve, that's strange ... however could you send me that bgl-file to support@aivlasoft.com? Thanks. I'll let you know about my findings.

    iPad

Is it possible to run EFB on a iPad? Yes, you can use your iPad to run a DisplayUnit, using one of the two following products: "AirDisplay" http://avatron.com/apps/air-display "Maxivista" http://www.maxivista.com/ipad-as-a-second-monitor.htm
  14. Hi JS, some of the EFB users are running the iPad as a DisplayUnit using the "AirDisplay" software. Another one might be "Maxivista". Here are the links to the product pages: "AirDisplay" http://avatron.com/apps/air-display "Maxivista" http://www.maxivista.com/ipad-as-a-second-monitor.htm
  15. @ Frank, I just wanted to report that with SP1b I cannot encounter any stuttering. Nothing more and nothing less! Did you already install the latest EFB version 1.3.2 SP1 (released yesterday)? Do you experience any difference? And you might have read at the AVSIM forum that I already asked Ryan?
  16. Good morning gents, I just come back from a very nice one hour sight-seeing flight over the Alps using the 737 NGX SP1b. The entire flight was performed in the virtual cockpit, and all the time the VSD was "ON". Flightlevel was FL150 (I know that this is not a safe altitude for the area of the Alps, but I wanted to be as close as possible to the terrain just to stress FSX). The frame rate in FSX is limited to a target FPS of 30 (which in my humble opinion is enough to get the impression of a "fluid" film). I could not encounter any stuttering and all the way long I had frame rates between 20 and 30. The more clouds were depicted the deeper frame rate I got. Add-ons that were running: - AS2012, which generated many clouds - My Traffic 5.4 - EZdoc 1.17 - Switzerland Pro - FSUIPC 4 - EFB (latest version 1.3.2 with SP1, released yesterday), DisplayUnit running on a second computer
  17. Derk, thanks for the info, and I'm glad you could solve the problem. Have fun and enjoy EFB
  18. Steve, it is only fixed with SP1 (which is still in beta test).
  19. Jack, this issue should be fixed with 1.3.2 SP1. Isn't it?
  20. Derk, thanks for the logfiles. As far as I can see all settings are correct, so the problem unfortunately must be beyond the scope of EFB.
  21. Robert, thank you very much for the kind words about EFB! Please check the settings (DisplayUnit > Charts > Ground), there are two options which have an impact on the behavior of the "Vectors to runways". Maybe one of these settings is other than before? COM1 frequencies: Do you mean that the "pop-up-menu" (which you can use to select the frequencies in FSX) is not available all the times, or do you mean that the frequency ribbon (which shows all the airport frequencies) in the upper chart area is not always visible?
  22. Bill, what AIRAC cycle do you have installed on that machine? When you select "Departure" or "Arrival" or "Approach" from the progress menu at the top of the chart, you will notice that the blue button on the left (or right) side changes its description according to the selected chart type. Press on that blue button to get a menu where you either can select an overview of SIDs and STARs, or you can select a certain procedure.
  23. Jedeen, can you send all the logfiles from both machines to support@aivlasoft.com? You will find them as follows: Windows Start Menu > All Programs > AivlaSoft > EFB > Logfiles. BTW, according to the forum rules, please sign your posts with your real first name. Thx.
  24. Henk, Michael, currently a new service pack is undergoing tests at the beta team. It will have some improvements concerning the AI traffic system and hopefully the stuttering too. @Henk, Just for a test, I would recommend to move the sliders "a bit" to the left. Maybe it helps.
  25. Henk, Thorsten are you running third party tools which generate AI traffic? What are the sliders positions in FSX's display settings for airliners, general aviation, ground vehicles etc.
