  1. Joe, Navigraph does not provide procedures for all airports on the world. Current cycle (1201) provides 3'792 airport files. Unfortunately PKWA and PTSA are not part of that data.
  2. Hi Iain, To be short: No, they are not the same. The charts in EFB are calculated and rendered every one second. This is done based on data from FSX (for airports, runways, navaids, landing aids ...) and from Navigraph FMS data for all procedures (SIDs, STARs, Approaches).
  3. Please, according to the forum rules, sign your posts with your r/w first name. Thanks. Please send me all the logfiles from both computers to support@aivlasoft.com. The logfiles can be found as follows: Windows Start Menu > All Programs > AivlaSoft > EFB > Logfiles
  4. Lothar, please send the logfiles to support@aivlasoft.com.
  5. Jean-Louis, There were (ans still are) two different implementations: a) Online traffic and AI (offline-) trafficOnline traffic always has shown and still shows only the destination of a flight whereas the offline traffic now shows both, the departure and destination ICAO code. For one it might be important for another one not. I think that's up to everyone's personal decision.
  6. Jean-Louis, Please see William's screenshot above. Yes, that's correct. No, it's a feature that has been implemented only with 1.3.2.
  7. All what can be said is that existing customers will get a discount when purchasing version 2.
  8. Morten, it's not my intention to force you back to any other program, but please bear in mind that EFB was developed basically for IFR flying. If you fly under IFR condition, then you must select a certain runway to land and a procedure which guides you to that runway. The idea that Travis brought up seems to be interesting. I cannot promise anything but I will have a look at this as soon as I work in that area for version 2.
  9. Mark, what are the TCP/IP settings on the DisplayUnit's computer? - did you set "Server Mode" to remote? - is the "Server name" exactly the name of the DataProviders's computer? - are both computers members of the same workgroup? No, to my knowledge this is not necessary. If it were a DNS problem (DNS cannot resolve the DataProviders IP-address from the given name) then I can say that the upcoming update 1.3.2 will allow you to set a IP-address instead of only the name of the DataProvider's computer. Maybe this will help to solve the problem.
  10. Andreas, can you provide a screenshot of the error message, and maybe you could send all the logfiles to support@aivlasoft.com? The files can be found as follows: Windows Start Menu > All Programs > AivlaSoft > EFB > Logfiles
  11. Oliver, we discussed this some months ago but we came to the finding that it is almost impossible since there are too many different scenery files around. Let's take EDDF for example: One user runs the default scenery, another one runs the Aerosoft scenery with the new "northwest" runway, another one runs a freeware, another one only adds some AFCAD files at the top of the default scenery ... And don't forget, there are also many different Navigraph cycles around, where the older cycles not yet reflect the latest runway designator changes whereas the new cycles does. In other words, there are too many different combinations.
  12. Hi Oliver, I can see that you uses the letter "o" in lower case instead of "0" (zero) at EGKK 08. Maybe you should also use lower case for "nil". From my point of view the settings for EDDF seems to be right, but I don't have the new scenery with the new "northwest" runway. So maybe some other user can help?
  13. Mark, in the DataProvider's settings, what is set as "Navigraph data" path (Settings > Folders)? It should be "H:\FSX\Aivlasoft".
  14. Are you a subscriber to the Navigraph FMS data (airac cycles)? If so, then I suggest that you download the latest cycle from their website and install it. If you're not a subscriber and you used the Navigraph procedures which are included in the EFB setup then you will find the Navigraph installer in the installation folder (where EFB is installed). It's a file name "AIVLASOFT_1101.exe".
  15. Mark, after reinstalling FSX you must reinstall the Navigraph procedures too.
  16. seems that I don't know my own software anymore. Of course, you're right Travis. As long as no procedure is selected there are no frequencies and also no vertical profile available.
  17. Vic, thanks for sending the logfiles. I can see a lot of exceptions of type "0xC000014B". See here for further details on this topic: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=145. I can also see that a utility runs which auto-saves FSX status every 5 minutes. Am I right? I don't know how many other add-ons are simultaneously running that might have an impact on either FSX or SimConnect. It seems that FSX is somehow "overloaded" from time to time and then it freezes or crashes. As a result of this also EFB DataProvider crashes.
  18. Vic, Can you please send me all the logfiles to support@aivlasoft.com. The files can be found as follows: Windows Start Menu > All Programs > AivlaSoft > EFB > Logfiles If it's a networked installation, please send me the logfiles from both computers. Thanks.
  19. Bruce, thanks for the screenshot. That's very confusing ... Can you please send me all the logfiles to support@aivlasoft.com. The files can be found as follows: Windows Start Menu > All Programs > AivlaSoft > EFB > Logfiles If it's a networked installation, please send me the logfiles from both computers. Thanks. EDIT: please see the next two postings below ...
  20. Hi Bruce, can you provide me a screenshot which shows the entire window of the EFB DisplayUnit when you opened KSFO approach?
  21. Lothar, can you please try the following: - stop/exit the DataProvider - start the DisplayUnit on your second computer. Now the splash screen appears for some seconds and then it will disappear. After that, the yellow bar "Initializing EFB system" appears. After some further seconds it should change to "Connecting ..." - on the menu bar, press "System" > "Settings". The settings dialog opens. Now verify the following settings: - Is "Server Mode" set to "Remote"? - Is the "Server Name" exactly the same as the name of the DataProvider computers name?
  22. Thanks Jack for clarification . I think that I've already what you explained, ... but only in version 2.
  23. Clive, There is no converter available for such a situation, so you must type it manually using the built-in checklist editor (or you convert it into the XML-format which is used for the export/import of checklists).
  24. Freddy, - which airport? - which AIRAC cycle is installed on the DataProviders computer? - on the RouteSetup page, did you have a look at the Modify page?
  25. Joel, I assume that this is a typo? In the DisplayUnit's settings you must set the name of the DataProvider's computer, not the DU computer's name. That's OK. If the DNS cannot resolve the DataProviders IP-address from the given name in the DU settings, we could try to add a fixed assignment in the file called "hosts". Do you know that file? You will find it as follows (on the DisplayUnit's computer): "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts". This file has no postfix like *.txt or *.exe or similar. It's just "hosts". If you are familiar with file editing you may add the following line at the end of the file: 10.0.1.13 5350 It is important to leave at least one whitespace between the IP-number and the computer name. After you have added this line, save the file and try to restart the DisplayUnit. Now if the DNS is looking for a computer named 5350 it will take the IP address 10.0.1.13 for a connection. Maybe this helps.
