  1. mid flight but give me an hour to land and i will do a couple of screenshots for you
  2. Neal, Question 1, Start EFB, The question about your route is now what your on about, there are a number of places to get routes and depending on where you fly. A couple of places are http://www.vroute.net/ http://www.edi-gla.co.uk/fpl/login.php? ... /index.php the 2nd one are real world flightplans, now this is the clever part, find a route that you wish to fly and get the waypoints, ie for example, the route below is from Frankfurt to Heathrow EDDF N0442F320 SOBRA Y180 BITBU Y181 MAKIK UY181 DEMUL UM624 BUB UL608 LOGAN EGLL simply copy this now go back to EFB and press ROUTE SETUP then SELECT and paste the route into the box and press OK you should now have a route description etc, you can now save this and press activate, this will then start your EFB going, if you press Ground and as long as you are connected to IVAO or VATSIM within EFB and you press OTPV on the bottom menu you will see aircraft, select a gate with no aircraft on it and now connect to VATSIM/IVAO, this works in two ways, you have sorted out your flightplan and seen where aircraft are parked before you actually connect and all you have to do is prepare you aircraft for departure speak to any controller and your away. hope that helps
  3. 1. what is your distance set with IVAP configuration? 2. Do you see traffic online normally without EFB?
  4. i get this when i restart either the data or the display while i am flying, this will come up everytime at the moment, I seem to have a few data crashes lately
  5. http://www.fs2000.org/index.php/downloa ... al-airport this is what i used
  6. did you update the scenary from the Cairo website, if so it didnt work for me either, however I did find an up to date afcad that did work. I tried to amend the afcad that came with the scenary but there was too much work involved so didnt continue.
  7. Chirs Have you selected an actual approach, if you have, a quick screenshot to show what you have.
  8. Iam assuming you mean the profile part, click the buttons arrowed to and you can see what appears or disappears
  9. can you link to the posts you are referring to so we can understand better your problem, I think i understand but want to make sure before I give you information
  10. Happy with changing the text, just info really as most people probably wouldnt have a clue )
  11. Urs The only way for me to continue with this was to shutdown the Displayunit and it would then load back up with the last route and not select rwy 16, it didnt show any profile, it remained on the warning box
  12. This is a new one on me route was EHAM ANDI1S ANDIK UN873 TUSKA N873 VES N607 AAL N866 NEGIL N15 BODRI UN15 VAVOS UT89 OGVOR UM857 ROPSU M6 BISRO EFKT this appeared when i tried to select runway 16 LLZ
  13. Robert EFB utilises the servifno data for boundaries but it receives the data for vatsim to be displayed, have you enabled the vatsim data within the flightplan tab ad then activated the flightplan,
  14. FSS - Flight Service Station This is only selected so online controllers can see excessive distances. Good luck on this task Urs, this is mammoth.
  15. one thing I found is that it shows the vatsim traffic depending on your client area, so if you set it to 10 miles within fsinn/sb4 it only shows the stuff in 10 miles so you need to increase the distance to 60 miles for example to actually see traffic
  16. jack maybe a picture of the NY area that is online to show the route part that you are flying
  17. 2 words "Well Done" The online aspect is precisely what was required to take this product to the next stage and works very well.
  18. to be blunt NO the last update was the 1st worldwide update that I can remember in about 7 years, local ATC division tended to make there own up when changes were made. This only comes an issue with Upper Airspace, as the twr and app shouldnt be a problem.
  19. The data for Servinfo comes from each ATC division and to be honest is updated once in a blue moon, The UK were changing there upper airspace structure during the last update so all the upper airspace in the UK will never show correctly on Servinfo/Vatspy or EFB until the data is updated.
  20. http://www.vaccsca.org/downloads/ServIn ... update.rar Page not available for this, I have tried to find a link but this seems to be the only one available,
  21. EGFF DCT BCN UN864 NITON UY98 NOKIN UY99 RIBEL UN601 MARGO DCT EGPF in the route you file there is no need to put the airfields ie EGFF or EGPF as this is already filed elsewhere with your flight plan, and to be honest most controllers would probably delete it from your routing. The DCT part is an integral part of flight plans so this is acceptable, however if an airfield has SID/STARs then these would be the expected departure routing rather than a straight DCT, they shouldn't be refused but you may have to wait for spacing on departures as the SID's tend to be there to separate traffic and ensure an even traffic flow. the flight plan that Wycliffe filed has the 1st waypoint as BCN (Breacon), if you look at the charts for this, you will see that there is a number of different SID's available so just having BCN is the way that 99% of european flight plan are filed so there is no need to put the SID into the route, controllers can determine what SID you want by also knowing the departure runway as 1 goes hand in hand with the other. For Info, Many may not have installed controller clients to watch traffic but Euroscope utilises the information that the pilots enter to give the controller additional information based on what is filed, so having a standard routing helps them out especially when busy, so if controllers moan or say something is incorrect, then a quick question to them via text should get a sensible answer to what they expect. but to be honest if you filed your flight plans as below you shouldn't get any trouble from any controller anywhere in the world, as it shows exactly where you want to fly. BCN UN864 NITON UY98 NOKIN UY99 RIBEL UN601 MARGO happy to answer any questions that people want to know, Dave
  22. found that in the airport.dat VHHX 22.316959 114.202621 is minus a - so correct one is VHHX-22.316959 114.202621 otherwise it crashes my EFB when reading the navdata
  23. Try this link, maybe the same problem viewtopic.php?f=5&t=239
