  1. Gentlemen, you certainly understand that we cannot provide a 24-hours service ?. It's now 2:56 AM here in Switzerland. You will have to wait for Urs to come online on Sunday, July 1st, to provide assistance for these errors in database building. As far as the reported Warning messages about missing "Add-on.xml" files are concerned, there seems to be a problem within the installation of add-ons into P3D V4's package system. This is beyond EFB v2 influence. An improper (or manually changed) installation can cause havoc if not strictly adhered to the rules outlined by Lockheed Martin's SDK http://www.prepar3d.com/SDKv4/sdk/add-ons/add-on_packages.html. Neverhteless EFB v2's functions are not affected. The respective airport ground map will simply show the default layout.
  2. Sorry, no. AivlaSoft uses its very own binary database structure.
  3. Navigraph promised to publish EFB v2 Navigation Data at the time of release of EFB v2 to the market. Navigraph has been informed that EFB v2 will be released on July 1st, 2018. I'm afraid you will have to wait until Navigraph comes up with the proper navdata. Unfortunately we do not have any influence on that. Aerosoft's NavDataPro however was ready on time.
  4. No problems here. I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work with P3D V4.3. Most probably a SimConnect problem that happened during your update. I have here two different systems updated to V4.3 and SimpleCam is still working flawlessly.
  5. Yes, no issues at all. You will just need the newest version of FSUIPC 5.132 (as always with new versions of Prepar3D)
  6. Bob, stop that please! Nobody is making up rules on the fly nor do we have anything to hide. Your (in your view) reasonable request for a detailed overview on the changes between v1 and v2 can simply not be fulfilled the way you are expecting it. To address my answer as being a "deliberate and wild misinterpretation" of you is something I will simply ignore, as it is a completely illegitimate imputation. Fact is that we did not issue a changelog or any similar list as there is simply no such thing. EFB v2 is - as has been written also on other occasions - a completely new development and the only commonality with EFB V1 is the EFB part of the name. We give the interested users free access to all User Manuals and we furthermore offer a free 30-days trial for the new product. I have no clue what else you expect.
  7. EFB v2 just uses a new naming convention. I can't remember the naming of the components in EFB v1 (sorry it's too long ago that I used EFB v1 ?). I think the DisplayUnit is now what we call the CLIENT. The SERVER is the part that is dealing with the Simulator and must be installed on the Simulator Computer. The CLIENT is driving the display as you see it on the screenshots. An EFB v2 installation consists of a SERVER and a CLIENT installation. If you want to use the EFB v2 display within your local network, you just use the CLIENT(s) on your networked computer(s) (as many as you like). So: if you buy EFB v2, you buy one package containing the SERVER and the CLIENT installer. You can use all combinations of SERVER and CLIENTS. The most iportant is that the SERVER MUST be on the same Computer as the Simulator. The CLIENT(s) can be on the same computer and/or on additional computer(s). The second question is not clear to me and it makes me wonder a bit. You could NEVER buy EFB v1 via SimMarket. It was SOLELY marketed by AivlaSoft - that's at least my latest level of knowledge.
  8. Bob, I fully understand your point, however, I'm afraid that you don't understand mine. This is a private forum of the Developer AivlaSoft and for that reason we do not comment on any competitive products or developers here. Furthermore we do expect the same from our customers. This is not a strict rule, but just a matter of decency. There are many public forums where comparisons of any kind can be published. This is the only point that I made in my statement. Which part of this should contain the elements of personal offence will most probably remain one of the (few) unresolved mysteries in my life...?
  9. We do not do comparisons of any nature to competitive products. You will have a full 30-day trial period with the new V2 without any functional limitation. So, it's not about speaking of advantages or personal sensitivities. Just try and find out ?.
  10. ... but you might want to download the Manuals, available here: https://forum.aivlasoft.com/files/ to have a closer look to all features.
  11. 68.71 to be precise. But think about e.g. poor Czech citizens. They will have to cope with 1138.- Czech Koruna ! ?
  12. Link updated. Try this one: https://www.simflight.de/2018/06/21/aivlasoft-efb-v2-erster-einblick-baldiger-release/
  13. Did you store some camera positions to the respective keys? If yes, please look into the folder: "C:\Users\<yourname>\Documents\AivlaSoft\SimpleCam". There must be - along with others - a file named "XXXXXXX.SimpleCam", which holds the stored camera positions attached to the respective keys for a specific A/C. If not then you didn't properly follow the procedures laid down in the manual. You need to store each camera position assigned to one of the numeric keys 0 - 9 (remember, only the keys of the keypad can be used) by pressing CTRL + <keynumber>. This way a file is created in the mentioned folder and the camera position is memorized for this specific key. Another hint: don't move the camera with any other means than the keys mentioned in the configurator - especially do not try to "move" the camera using the HatSwitch. It is specific to FSX/P3D that there are 3 things to be distinguished for a specific view: 1. The Camera position (keys as per configurator) 2. The Camera View (HatSwitch) 3. The Zoom Factor (set by specific keys) Only the Camera Position can be stored ! (which is what SimpleCam does...)
  14. It might be very helpful to read the manual, provided in the respective path: "C:\Users\<yourname>\Documents\AivlaSoft\SimpleCam\Manual" A configurator icon should have been created on the desktop. If not, access it here: "C:\Program Files\AivlaSoft\SimpleCam-P4\AivlaSoft.SimpleCam.Configurator.exe" As a short explanation: you need to create a file containing the stored camera positions to your liking. As every Virtual cockpit has different dimensions, a file containing the Camera Positons for each cockpit need to be created. Without this file SimpleCam can of course not work.
  15. Did you use SimpleCam before? Did you run the Configurator? What do you mean by "nothing happens" in your initial post? it's not really much information that you provide...
  16. First of all: Did you download version 1.1.14 of SimpleCam?
  17. New version 1.1.14 is out. http://www.aivlasoft.com/download/index.html Please read release notes carefully !
  18. Same happened to me .. apart from the fact that ATM also an update patch for Active Sky is necessary. As usual it takes its time to cope with all new issues.
  19. Yes, we just noticed that too. Please be patient while we have to find the remedy. Obviously LM changed something on the camera side.
  20. Not an extremely good idea to uninstall and deactivate any sceneries without knowing what causes the problem. EFB can only draw a ground map on what it get's from the corresponding BGL. Whatever is installed it needs a rebuild of the database to properly show the layout. Moreover it will also help troubleshooting to indicate the simulator type. So - whenever something is wrong, it stems from a wrong BGL. Whenever the correct GBL is read, it will draw the correct layout. It's as simple as that
  21. Yes, but that's only true if the "original" FSX ist not installed anymore or was not installed at the time FSX:SE was installed. Otherwise it is: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX-SE\
  22. Well, to make things clearer I would propose to refer to "default GPS" rather than to a specific type. it can be of many "types" such as GNS 530, GNS 400 etc. But basically they are all the same - but definitely "default GPS". EFB of course works with the default GPS. Check the necessary settings in the manual.
  23. That's correct. Aerosoft does not install using the package technique favoured by LM. They still install into <P3D>Ecosystem\Aerosoft.
