  1. "Stay running the two (or more) display unit during your flight and check if you see the traffic on your network display unit" I confirm I can see all the traffic (IVAO online+FSX/AI) on both Pcs running the DU. The AI traffic is displayed all the time, but the online traffic is only displayed when it's very close to my current position and for a short period of time despite my EFB settings (distance NM 0= max distance ; +- 10.000ft) ??? Any idea Urs ?? Could it be some wrong Ivap v2 settings ? I don't see what could be wrong with Ivap v2 config
  2. I'm too running the NGX/SP1 : the FSX AI traffic is there as it was before but what is really new with the brand-new NGX SP1 is that I saw for the first time today on my online flight YSCB-YMHB with the 737-900 NGX an IVAO traffic rather close to my route at FL340. This a/c was displayed on the Eye as well.
  3. quoting Urs answering a similar topic : "currently I don't know much about the internals of FSX concerning these VHF enroute frequencies. But I will give it a try for version 2.0."
  4. "actually efb says it would turn off ai automatically when using either of these online tools" Please Urs, do NOT do that !! It's the user's choice to turn ON/OFF the AI traffic (FSX settings). Let us still decide ! and don't let EFB take control of that sort of things that are far away from its main goal Thanks for considering
  5. Salut Urs, "Any other ideas?" yes maybe one : tell me if I'm wrong but there might be a way to find the list of the enroute VHF frequencies since they are available from within FSX basic ATC. Of course they might be out of date and different from the real ones but that's better than nothing at all ! Thanks for considering
  6. "simply type the below for runway 28/10 (of course also include all other runways): KORD nil 28 KORD nil 10" "Hope this helps" Yes, it does ! Merci Jack
  7. Salut Michael, Can I please PM you to get some basic information regarding the proper way to set/build a "cable network" that may replace my current wireless network Merci
  8. // C) if a runway in reality (and in Navdata) is existing, but is not available in FSX // *** this case is not possible to assign *** it seems to be the case at KORD with the new rwy 10-28 that could not be assigned to FSX rwys : 14r32l 09r27l 14l32r 04r22l 09l27r 04l22r is this case is not possible to assign, what should be the correct KORD rwy assignment to avoid the DP rwy warning message ? Merci airac 11/09
  9. "...I have no trouble seeing traffic while flying the NGX (using UT2), in fact, I'm having a hard time finding an empty parking slot at some airports late at night.." Do you mean AI or online traffic or both ? I've no trouble seeing AI traffic while flying the NGX, but I have some not seeing any online (IVAO) traffic
  10. Salut Urs, I'm asking again : have you got any enroute VHF frequencies available in the EFB enroute chart strip when you don't fly online ? From my side, I havn't goy any except.... Would you please Urs see my previous post Merci
  11. "Which list of frequencies do you mean and from where can we get it" Have you got any enroute VHF frequencies available in the EFB enroute chart strip when you don't fly online ? From my side, I havn't goy any except when I fly online (IVAO) and the ATC enroute position is active in the area I'm currently flying I'm just asking if it would be possible to have the enroute frequencies available in the EFB enroute strip just like the other ones ? From where can we get it ? I'll be glad to help but I have no idea. Merci
  12. Salut Urs, I flew online (trying PilotEdge as it's still "beta" and free) yesterday from Oakland to San Diego : SKYL3.AVE AVE J1 LAX BAYVU1.LAX NORCAL was inactive when departing from Oakland but SOCAL was active when arriving in the LA area. Quoting PilotEdge "If you're coming from another online flying network that utilizes top-down staffing procedures, you're probably used to looking at a Who's Online list, and "working up the tree" to determine which facility to call. PilotEdge handles this for you, which is why there is no published controller list. Simply contact the DEL/GND/TWR role that you're attempting to reach using the published real-world frequencies" When it was time to contact the Los Angeles ARTCC I didn't know which frequency to use. As I was trying to find it the ATC guy got in touch with me and told me to contact him on 135.5 To avoid such a situation without digging into charts would it be possibe to have the real-world enroute frequencies available within EFB just like all the other ones whatever the way of flying ?? Merci
  13. "When I load the default FSX EDDF, I cannot see all the eight runways that you mentioned in your original post" From the FSX map I can see 6 rwys : 07L-25R 13099' 18 13123' 26L 8202' 07R-25L 13102' From EFB I can see 8 rwys (data source : FSX/Scenery/0601/scenery/APX50140.bgl) 07C-25C 13100' 18-36 13100' 26L-08R 8200' 07R-25L 13100' with rwys 08R-26L and 07R-25L overlapping. EFB is also providing an ILSDME apch for rwy 26L IFWL 111.35 CAT I IMHO, this is rather confusing .... My current rwys assignment is the following one : EDDF 07L 07C EDDF 25R 25C EDDF 18 18 EDDF 26L 26L EDDF 07R 07R EDDF 25L 25L Have we got the same FSX ? Does it really matter ? mine is the gold edition version.
  14. "What scenery do you have installed for EDDF? FSX Default?" FSX default I did not write what you quote. Let me remind you what I wrote : "Is it important or not to always define ALL runways from an airport, whether they have changed or not ???" and it's related to an EFB recommandation located at the beginning of the rwys.txt file Thanks
  15. Thanks Travis & Tom ! EDDF rwys assignement from Tom : EDDF 07L 07C EDDF 25R 25C EDDF 18 18 EDDF 07R 07R EDDF 25L 25L after I've applied the above assignements I still have two rwys that overlap : 07R-25L and 08R-26L ??????? rwy 36 is not in use. Fine ! Is it important or not to always define ALL runways from an airport, whether they have changed or not ??? "Maybe runway 36 is closed for early Oktoberfest celebrations and everyone is expected to use runway 18?" Interesting hypothesis that could have make sense....
  16. "Navdata 07C and 25C rwys could not be assigned to FSX rwys" Fine, but what is the correct rwys assignment for EDDF ? Navdata rwys (where has gone rwy 36 that is missing ??) FRANKFURT EDDF07C13123068 50.032617 8.534631110.5506800329 FRANKFURT EDDF07R13123068 50.027542 8.534175110.9506800328 FRANKFURT EDDF18 13123179 50.034169 8.525931000.0017900326 FRANKFURT EDDF25C13123248 50.045128 8.586981111.5524800364 FRANKFURT EDDF25L13123248 50.040053 8.586531111.1524800362 FSX rwys 07L 25R 18 36 26L 08R 07R 25L Thanks
  17. Airac 1108 Revision 2 is now available... SIDs/STARs/IAPs are now included ! prompt reaction from Navigraph !
  18. "Did you include all the runways in your runways.txt file?" Yes I did, despite my wrong copy/paste where the last line is missing in my previous post. Anyway, I just realize that something was wrong with the former FSX rwys 16R and 34L ! my previous assignement : LFSB 16 15 LFSB 34 33 LFSB 08 08 LFSB 26 26 LFSB 16R 15R LFSB 34L 33L The correct assignement is (check yours Travis) : LFSB 16 15 LFSB 34 33 LFSB 08 08 LFSB 26 26 LFSB 16L 15R LFSB 34R 33L as you can see 16L became 15R and 34R became 33L, those 2 rwys might be the very first and historical ones at LFSB ?? SID, STARs and APCHs available are now : STARs 15/33/08/26/15R/33L SIDs 15/33/26 APCHs 15/33 what about yours ? Regards
  19. Salut à tous, extract from LFSB.txt found in AIRAC Cycle : 1107 (30/JUN/2011 - 27/JUL/2011) - Rev.2 RNWS RNW 08 RNW 15 RNW 15R RNW 26 RNW 33 RNW 33L ENRNWS extract from my runways.txt : LFSB 16 15 LFSB 34 33 LFSB 08 08 LFSB 26 26 LFSB 16R 15R despite this change the EFB chart is still showing the following rwys : 16 34 08 26 16R 34L SIDs and STARs are available but I can't make make any selection except : STAR for 08 and 26 SID for 26 only all others rwys are greyed out and all approaches (ILS 15 + ILS 33) are not available Any idea ? Merci
  20. "Can't recall ever closing that and wonder if the default install has it closed where as I think it is open and visible on the other charts" Yes, still something mysterious for me ! How can I make it visible on all charts everytime without dragging the bar ?
  21. My question is not EFB related, it's just to satisfy my "curiosité". I'm currently practising some published Loc/dme BC (back course) approaches : 304° 111.7 ITUS LOC (BACK CRS) FRONT CRS 124° at Tucson/KTUS is one of them I just found with others of the same kind by googling "Loc dme BC" As they are no longer allowed in France (what about Europe ?) except for only 2 Loc outbound departures at Chambery/LFLB (DANB2C/rwy 36) and Annecy/LFLP (DAN2B/rwy 22) I'm wondering if such approaches are common in the US despite they are considered rather dangerous : to fly such approaches the HSI needle must be directional wich means the HSI course must be set to the normal ILS front course while flying back course... Isn't it confusing ? 4 people (all of them PPL qualified + IFR rating for the captain ) died in a crah-plane just because the HSI needle was set the wrong way (non directional). The plane was flying the DANB2C SID at LFLB ... Think about it next time you fly (virtual or real) a Loc dme BC inbound or outbound...
  22. Bonjour Urs, Something I suggest you could correct : the following route (real Concorde route) is just a copy/paste from the ATS routing EFB Display Unit EGLL CPT3G CPT L9 MALBY N5124W00350 MERLY LESLU N5041W01500 N5050W02000 N5030W03000 N4916W04000 N4703W05000 N4610W05300 N4414W06000 N4246W06500 N4044W06955 N4039W07042 N4027W07230 CAMRN RBV ARD N4023W07541 LRP HYPER ROBRT AML KIAD would you please try to copy/paste it again in the ATS route description, this will generate an error message just because a space is missing in each of the coordinates waypoints pairs : N5124W00350 does not work but N5124 W00350 does. Guess it's not that complicated to make the appropriate correction. This way, a route like the following one will be accepted (at least partially) : EGLL1430 -N0560F260 CPT L9 MALBY C/UPGAS/N0740F260F450 SL2 C/5041N01500W/M200F450F600 NATSM 4200N06700W SM3 4044N06955W/M200F500 4027N07230W/M130F500 DCT CAMRN V276 INT-V475 LRP DELRO.1 Merci d'avance
  23. "Also make sure you turn off any firewalls" Not that recommended IMHO !! Some correct network firewall settings will do the job !
  24. "So i set the path again, they find the Main-PC" Does that mean when clicking "check server name" on the remote PC (DU settings/TCP com tab) the server name is found ? If yes, your network seems to be OK and the issue is to be found somewhere else. Did you check your firewall network settings ? Is your router network declared public or local ? If public that could be the cause of your current issue. Keep going !
