My apologies for a much asked question! I have invested a fair amount in nDac airport charts (which include SIDS and STARS). Is it possible to integrate these in some way with EFB. It would be really good to have a lifelike chart appear at the critical points. I appreciate your answer and apologise if this is a repetition.

I am a long time simmer. I have looked eagerly at EFB but was reluctant to buy because I prefer full-screen operation. I can now attempt a two computer setup using a crossover cable rather than wireless. I tried to get organised after I downloaded the trial version but I missed out completely before I could get it setup. Therefore I will have to go directly to purchase a licence key, so I want to be sure that I can make it work. I would appreciate your help. My FSX computer is Windows 7, my laptop where the display unit will go is XP. Will this work or must both computers have the same OS? With a cable connection do I still need the TCP address? I understand, I think, how to share the two critical folders. Are there any other matters that I must put in place/

I deserve that: I was really laying out my assets so to speak, and asking whether there is any tricks or more detailed knowledge I need to network the two computers and make EFB fully functional. From the forum it is clear that the varied equipment and software of your customers, and some of the problems they and you have sorted out, would suggest that the instructions may only meet the general case, and some extra steps are needed in many others. If you can give me some reassurance that this is a fairly standard hookup, or it might need some extra steps then I would be most grateful. I am not particularly knowledgeable in computer matters.

I have my FSX computer with Win 7 HP, 64bit A crossover cable to run from my LAN port to the LAN port of a laptop This laptop has a Win XP 32 bit OS The dataunit is on my Win 7 FSX computer, and the display unit on the XP computer connected by the cable. Is there any inherent problems in this arrangement, and are there any steps not shown in the instructions. I am using the trial version, but please be absolutely assured that if it works I will buy a licence immediately - with merriment and joy. It will fill out my stable of FSX utilities perfectly.
