  1. We are not aware of such issues. Did you update both, Client and Server to the latest version?

If the issues persist please describe the issues with as much details as possible and create a set of support files shortly after the issues happened.

Can you Please Explain in detail what do you mean by UPDATING THE SIMULATOR?

Please see the manual "4 EN Database.pdf", Chapter 2.3 "Update Simulator".

Scanned the location of each in the Db builder. update the navigation database. And still No Gate/Parking numbers.

Please open the DbBuilder, tab "Create/Select EFB Database". Select each database, one by one, and delete it. Once there is no database listed anymore, close the DbBuilder and restart the DbBuilder. Now create a new database for each of your simulator. It the problem persists, please create a set of support files (one for the Client, one for the Server) and upload them here so I can have a look what happens.

  3. I just wanted to add some information about the 'skipped' feature:

    Quote

Aivlasoft doesn't want to read those directories, and I'm getting a "!! Skipped !! (Exclude definition)" notice for all of my custom sceneries.

Which folders and files will be skipped can be defined in a file named 'BglSceneryExclude.txt' (for P3D, FSX), or 'BglSceneryExcludeMsfs.txt' for MSFS. These two configuration files are located in 'C:\Users\<username>\Documents\AivlaSoft\EFB2\Server\DbBuilder\Base'. As lonewulf47 already mentioned above, these definitions only include locations which have not to be scanned and therefore shall speed-up the entire scanning process of the DbBuilder.

  4. Sorry, my fault. We had to change the gate numbers logic because MSFS provides gate numbers like "D52A" (with a letter at the end). P3D, FSX provide letter and number only. Therefore a rebuild of the database (function 'Update simulator') is necessary. I will add a hint to the announcement.

  5. Hi Rolando

I have no idea what's going wrong on your side because build #132 has absolutely nothing to do with aircraft profiles. Does the Client not automatically select the correct profile according to the currently running aircraft in the simulator, or did you manually select a profile and the Client does not load this profile instead of loading the default profile?

If the distance remaining is increasing then you most probably have not properly passed a waypoint (properly means 'within a radius of 3 NM'). You can re-sync the logic by selecting your next waypoint in front of you via the 'Direct-To' function.

there is no rollback possible. If you experience any troubles with the ground charts, please create a set of support files and upload them here. Apart from the creation of the support files, please describe the issue in detail (which airport, which developer, what is incorrect etc. etc. ). We need certain information before we can start to investigate.

  7. Update 2.3 #132 was necessary due to a bug in #131 which prevented a proper update of the VATSIM FIR boundaries. Sorry for any inconvenience.

We also had to change the gate numbers logic because MSFS provides gate numbers like "D52A" (with a letter at the end). P3D, FSX provide letter and number only. Therefore a rebuild of the database (function 'Update simulator') is necessary.

  8. Philip,

I would like to kindly draw your attention to the fact that we are not obliged to provide profiles for every aircraft available on the flightsim market.  We are also not able to access the required data for all these aircraft. But we have developed and provide a Profile Editor with which you can create new, or update existing profiles at your discretion. I assume you are a licensed FSL A320SL user so I assume that YOU have access to the data required to change, or even create a profile for this aircraft.

  9. Hi Scott

thanks for uploading the support files. It seems that the connection with X-Plane does not properly work. From what I can see in the logfile, the settings in EFB seem to be OK. Did you change anything in X-Plane or did you run an update in X-Plane? See below a screenshot of the settings in my computer. Check the port numbers (red rectangle on the right side), especially the two legacy ports for receive and send. On your computer they should be set according to the values in the screenshot below. Also check whether the 'Incoming requests' are allowed (red rectangle on the bottom).

  10. EFB v1 was designed in another way. There were no 'free-floating' windows. EFBv2 allows to place every window at the users discretion. Location and size will be saved and applied again when the window is opened next time. Docking the ATC window is not possible because this would require some in-depth changes in the architecture.

  11. Hi Robert

Automatic switching the DB is only possible if there is only one database for each simulator. If you have more than one database for a certain simulator, EFB cannot know which of them shall be the one to be loaded. That's the cause for displaying the information as on your screenshot 1.

The DbBuilder will be started because you have to manually select the Database to be loaded. This is done on the first tab 'Create/Select EFB Database'.

If you select the first tab in the DbBuilder ('Create/Select EFB Database') you see a list of currently available databases. Usually there is only one database for a certain simulator, except you have created a second (or third ...) database from the same simulator but from a different, old and no longer existing AIRAC cycle. If there are older databases from MSFS which were built using older AIRAC cycles you might delete these old databases.
