  1. Hi Christian

first of all, thank you very much for your kind words on EFB. This is much appreciated, indeed.

Is there a possibility to display a loadsheet (or the whole flight plan if necessary) directly in the main EFB window?

There is no such specific functionality implemented. It's only the possibility of displaying a pdf-document in the Documents browser.

So my question is, if it is possible to list this type of approach in the EFB, too.

There are two reasons for a 'no': First, we do not get these type of procedures neither from Navigraph nor from Aerosoft. Second, due to architectural constraints it is not possible to list procedures which are not assigned to a certain runway.

  2. Thank you for uploading the files. There is some confusion to me when reading these files. The client logfile writes at 2022-11-14 19:55:24 that the Client is connected with the Server, but there is no logfile from the Server which covers this time.

The Server logfile 'serverLogfile-2.txt' ends with the timestamp 2022-08-11 19:23:00, and the next logfile 'serverLogfile-1.txt' begins with the timestamp '2022-11-17 15:14:39'. So there is a gap of more than 3 months between these two subsequent logfiles.  Can you explain how this can happen? Is there any auto-backup-software on your system which replaces newer files with old ones?

  3. As to my knowledge the behavior regarding the G3000/G3X has not changed since SU10.

Do not load a flight plan from the MSFS world map when using EFB.  It will mess up things. Just create and manage the flight plan from EFB only, including adding/removing SID, STAR, Approach. After each change of the EFB flight plan, the flight plan will be forwarded to the default GPS system of MSFS. The autopilot will follow all these changes, despite of not displaying all these changes and even the entire route on the G3000/G3X screens in the simulator. This is a limitation which is 'built-in' since the very first release of MSFS in 2020.

  4. No, there are no hidden files. The registry keys are used for proper function of the installer, the documents folder contains the user and system settings. The 'Program Files' folder contains the executable files. That's all, at least 'all of what I'm aware of'. Maybe Windows/.Net will create some other files, but I have no idea where and for what purpose. On a standard installation, running the uninstallers usually works perfectly, to clean-up the system.

Please clarify "Run both installers, one after the other" Do you mean to complete the server installation by running the database builder or quit the server installation before building the database? Then installing the client.

The important thing is to not run both installers simultaneously. Just complete the Server installation, then start the Client installation, or even vice versa. It is not relevant whether you run the DbBuilder immediately after successful installation of the Server, or if you run it after you also have installed the Client already.

  6. Try to do the following steps:

    1. Quit any running instance of the Server and the Client(s)
    2. Run the uninstaller from the Windows Menü, for both the Client and the Server
    3. Reboot computer(s)
    4. Download the latest complete installers from the download page of our website: https://www.aivlasoft.com/download.html
    5. Run both installers, one after the other, and make sure you run the installers as administrator

  7. Hi Steffen,

did you already have a look at the file 'add-ons.cfg' in 'C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4' ?

    Are there any suspicious entries?

Could you please create a support file and upload it here, or - if you prefer - send it to support@aivlasoft.com.

  8. Today we released the new update 2.3 (build #135) which contains the following improvements:

    1. Changes required to support X-Plane 12
    2. Minor improvements for better procedure depiction
    3. MSFS SU11 compatibility regarding airport names (requires a rebuild of all databases)
    4. Latest online data files for VATSIM and IVAO

  9. The folder C:\Users\<username>\Documents\AivlaSoft\EFB2\Server\AIRAC contains two subfolders:

    airac.png

Each of them can hold a navdata cycle. From your screenshots I can see that you are a user of Navigraph FMS Data. On the screenshot with the logfile excerpt I can see that the DbBuilder also is creating a database with Aerosoft NavDataPro. If you don't intentionally use Aerosoft too, then I recommend to ...

    1) Delete the content of the folder 'Aerosoft NavDataPro'

    2) Delete your database using the 'Delete' button in the DbBuilders dialog

    3) Create a new database using Navigraph FMS data

It might be that then the warning does no longer appear.

  10. Thanks for the screenshot. This is a completely different message than what you described in your previous posts. I always thought you are talking about a program update to version 1.22.  This message is telling you that you have AIRAC cycle 2210 from Navigraph installed in the folder C:\Users\<username>\Documents\AivlaSoft\EFB2\Server\AIRAC\Navigraph FMS Data,  but obviously you did not yet rebuild your EFB database using the DbBuilder function "Update Navdata". As soon as you have updated the database, this message will no longer be displayed.
