  1. Hi Andreas, Yes, in fact it is. But the main cause it a certain laziness of the Developers. They almost never recheck the navaids in their airports when issueing a new variant or update. Kinda ebarrassing IMHO... 😉 but who cares. This might become no issue anymore with MFS, if we REALLY can get regular AIRAC Cycle updates. But so far only promises and lots of blah blah, but nothing substantial.
  2. Hi Adreas, To be honest, I'm somewhat hesitating to put all BGL's that I have corrected so far into the Contributions Section due to possible copyright issues. So far I just publish them if a specific problem is brought up in a thread.
  3. Hi Andreas, The data shown on the "Nearby Navaids" windows are taken from the installed AIRAC cycle, whereas the ILS frequency in the Procrdure Dialog is taken from the airport layout BGL. I presume you are using RFSB's LIMF install. If so you can use the BGL below, which is forrected for the proper ILS. RFSB unfortunately is well known to sometimes using outdated ILS data even on newest releases. LIMF_ADEP4_ADE.bgl
  4. Hi Laurie, Please see here : https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/4515-microsoft-flight-simulator-support-after-august-18/
  5. Hi Ed, Great to hear that it works now ! Thanks for reporting !
  6. Hi Ed, Usually you will have to define an exception to the firewall to allow unlimited access for EFB Server and Client. However to narrow down on possible other cases could you please post a set of Support Files? https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/3046-how-to-create-a-support-file/
  7. Hi Ed, Did you download the NEWEST installers from our website? https://www.aivlasoft.com/download.html#a1530 Please also make sure that both Server and Client use the same TCP Port Number.
  8. Hi Edgar, Great to hear that it finally worked out and best regards also to Roger 😀
  9. Hi Spencer, I see that you use the "basic name" of the *.acf file in X-Plane. This does unfortunately still not work (see note in the Manual "Client", chapter "Aircraft Profiles"). Further down in that Chapter under para 2.2 "X-Plane Limitations" - "Profile Limitations" you will find a guidance to what you need to enter into the "airfile names". See also attached screenshot example for the C172:
  10. Hi Edgar, I see some trange things in your installation. The default scenery paths \0601, 0602 and 0701 are missing (at least in the scenery.cfg) which are scenery contents for Cental Europe. It seems that ORBX OpenLC Europe has replaced those in the respective paths: D:\Orbx Library\p3dv4\Global openLC Europe\Scenery\0601 D:\Orbx Library\p3dv4\Global openLC Europe\Scenery\0602 D:\Orbx Library\p3dv4\Global openLC Europe\Scenery\0701 Those replacing paths are properly scanned in the DbBuilder process, however it seems that the necessary navaid BGLs, usually contained in the default path and updated by SORS' Navaid Utility (NVX06010.bgl, NVX06020.bgl and NVX07010.bgl) are not scanned and therefore the navaids contained therein are missing in the database. To be honest, I have no clue what the content of the three paths D:\Orbx Library\p3dv4\Global openLC Europe\Scenery\0601 D:\Orbx Library\p3dv4\Global openLC Europe\Scenery\0602 D:\Orbx Library\p3dv4\Global openLC Europe\Scenery\0701 actually is and why ORBX (obviously) replaced the default paths from the original P3DV4 installlation. As they are scanned regularly I must presume that the required navaids for the mentioned region are not present anymore. I'm sorry that I cannot be more specific as I don't have ORBX openLC Europe installed anymore on my system. EDIT: I have quickly reinstalled openLC Europe on my test rig and I do not see the changes ORBX has (obviously) made on your system. The default scenery paths \0602, \0603 and \0701 are still normally active in the scenery.cfg. The respective paths in the ORBX Library only contain a single OBXxxx.bgl, which contains sone additional objects. So as a conclusion I can't say what happened on your system or who deactivated these default scenery paths. You need to investigate on your system.
  11. Hi Edgar, This sounds very confusing and very strange. Could you please post a set of Support Files? https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/3046-how-to-create-a-support-file/ Edit: The main reason for a Navaid not being shown as "active" (greyed out) is defined if the Navaid is available in the ARINC database but not in the Simulator's database. That said I would strongly presume that the databuilding process cannot read any Navaids from the Simulator's default database. You have updated with SORS' Navaids database. My presumption is that something went wrong with that. I also use Hervé SORS' Updated default files for many years and I never had any problems with that. But- as stated above - if all Navaids are greyed out it definitely looks as if the Simulator's (updated) default database is corrupt. Depending on the region it may be that only one of the BGL's is corrupt.
  12. Hi Edgar, Sorry, nothing is recognizeable in your screenshot. What do you mean by "inactive"? Are they all greyed out? Did you change anything in your EFB2 or Simulator Setup? Did you rebuild your database? I cannot see anything wrong in the Paris Area on my EFB2.
  13. Just press the ATC Soft Button, and as a second hint: it is never wrong to read the Manual...😀
  14. I can't explain why you have the default path on OneDrive. This is definitely not standard for neither any AddOn nor for FSUIPC. I cannot look behind your PC so I'm unable to tell you what is going on. However something is completely wrong there. the Add-On.xml must be placed in one of the default installations paths for AddOns, because P3D (as of V3) can only read the information about installed AddOns if either the AddOn itself is in C:\Users\XXXX\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons or - if installed remotely - the add-on.xml is placed there to provide information about the installation path. This is tandard procedure. There are some iterations on that but this would be going too far to explain all possible deviations. I'm sorry, but I can't be of more help as I don't know your installation. The only explanation for such deviations on the default installation path could be either a Symlink or the Installation of the Simulator itself in OneDrive.
  15. Ramon, Have you ever tried to use the default installation path of FSUIPC? It will then install into "C:\Program Files\FSUIPC6" and will place an "add-on.xml" into "C:\Users\XXXX\Documents\Prepar3D v5 Add-ons" or "C:\Users\XXXX\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons" respectively. Your install is into a non-standard path. It is therefore imperative that an "add-on.xml" is placed in one of the abovementioned default paths for P3D (V4 or V5 repectively). This is the only way FSUIPC can connect from an "outside of the Simulator" installation. The alternative is the "old fashioned" way to install into the "Modules" path of the Simulator.

  17. Ron, The picture show a traffic close by behind you, 200 ft above you... You can't see it unless you have a rearwards view camera...😀
  18. Hi Brian, Just to round up your post: - the TCP Port numbers in use are indeed displayed in both the Server's and the Client's Settings under the System tab (see Manuals) - there is no need to create your own output log as EFB2 creates a complete set of logs - to give us a good overview when setting up a complaint, it is always a good idea to provide a set of Support Files (see FAQ's) Within these Support Files it would have been a matter of seconds to find the issue about different TCP Port numbers...😀 Thanks anyway for reporting successful solving of the issue
  19. Mark, You are talking about FSGRW, right? For FSGRW (aka FS Global Real Weather..) you don't need to enter a path, but select the file "current_weather.txt" See attached screenshot. You are setting the wrong parameters in the Settings page. You try to call up "FSRealWX"; which is NOT FSGRW. You need to use the areas marked with a BLUE frame, but you seemingly use the wrong ones, marked with RED.
  20. Hi Ron, Whenever there is coflicting traffic you will be warned by the simple TCAS according to the description in the Client Manual Chapter 7.1.5 Traffic. You can also turn it off in the Profile Settings.
  21. Hi Laurie, Your FMC (talking of PMDG I guess) does of course show all airports if you regularly update your database. But still in the SIMULATOR there is no data for LTFM and therefore also no ILS or any navdata related to LTFM that you can tune. That's how MS-based simulators work. As long as you dont have an AFCAD File of any kind registered for your SIMULATOR, you cannot tune any navaid and there is no airport showing in the SIMULATOR. The aircraft database is completely separated from the SIMULATOR. EFB2 can of course also not draw any ground layout if there is no AFCAD bgl.
  22. Hi Laurie, The new LTFM Istanbul Airport is neither part of P3dV4 nor P3DV5 default scenery. If it shows up in your simulator, you must have some freeware installed. If you installed the freeware correctly, it will also show in EFB2. I'm sorry that I can't be more specific as I don't know your install.
  23. FSUIPC installed (minimun version 6.0.8) ?
