Joubarbe
Hi, I really appreciate your EFB, and I bought a Mimo mini display for having both the EFB and FSX in view. (by the way, if I install it with the two screen options, will I be able to have FSX in full screen ?) In all screens, I resize the elements to have the map in full screen, but in the "approach" view, we can't resize anything, and the comm frequencies take way too much space. Please can you do something to make resizable elements, like the other screens ? Guillaume EDIT : another solution could be have the menu reduced. Example : show just the icons. Also, I find strange that we can access all the charts when they're off screens. When I slide my display, I only see Ground, Departure and Enroute, and there's apparently no way to see the rest. EDIT 2 : in the ingame menu, some keys to select procedure (STAR, SID and approach) would also be great - And I'm done with suggestions I promise ! aivlasoft
Salut Guillaume, Full screen mode is only available if the DisplayUnit is installed on another computer than FSX. This is not because of EFB, this is FSX-/Windows behavior. I'm aware of the small space especially on the approach chart. Did you already see that there is a possibility to hide some of the panels in approach chart view? We're currently discussing new ideas for the user interface, but this will need a complete redesign of the application and this will take a lot of time. Joubarbe
1/ Yes, this is the reason why you should make more in game menus. 2/ Here is the approach screen. I'm sure there is something easy possible to make it readable In this screen, I can't access the menus on the right (approach etc.). A simple scroll would be easy ; or at least a way to have the same presentation as we have by clicking "airport" -> "origin" or "destination". In red, you can see the resizable bar... ... but here, we can't resize anything.
aivlasoft
Salut Guillaume, thanks for the suggestions. A quick search on the internet told me that this 7-inch monitor has a resolution of 800×480. Am I right?

aivlasoft
Guillaume, I'm sorry to tell you, but the minimum requirements say: "Screen resolution: minimum 1024 x 768, recommended is 1280 x 1024". This can be read on the EFB website at http://www.aivlasoft.com/products/index.html#footer).
Joubarbe
Well as you can see, it's almost usable on 7 inch 7 inch is very common and is perfectly adapted for an Electronic Flight Bag. So, again, you should add more resizable elements. EDIT : seriously, just remove the comm frequencies in approach mode, and the software is near the perfection
wycliffe
Joubarbe I should imagine that a 7inch monitor would be next to useless mind you i am basing that on my 57 yrs of age and the need for a nice 22inch monitor for flying and 19inch for EFB. I think Urs has answered your query in as much as the minimum requirement is clealry stated on the Website as indicated. Wycliffe
Joubarbe
Good for you. It's not because it's stated that you can't make a little effort to bring to the players more compatibility. Did you ever see a real EFB ? It's not a 19 inch monitor. Other players could be interested in my suggestion.
GG_Flyer
EDIT : seriously, just remove the comm frequencies in approach mode, and the software is near the perfection Guillaume, If you click the "Panel Options" icon while in Approach Chart mode, you can hide the "COM Frequencies" on the display. (Operations Manual, Section 7, Page 32.) Does this help at all?? Regards,
Joubarbe
Oh thank you, this is perfect ! (why didn't you say that to me Urs ? ) Now the display problem I shown in my first screenshot is still a minor problem ; but it's perfectly compatible with my 7 inch screen ! Thanks. lonewulf47
Did you ever see a real EFB ? It's not a 19 inch monitor. With all respect Guillaume, I HAVE seen real EFB's. Whereas the screen size is less important in that respect the RESOLUTION is something completely different. No today's commercially certified EFB's are working with such a low resolution. You might have read about iPAD APPS having been certified commercially. Now that's what we are talking about.... Oskar
