My guess is, because the updates always fix issues, they want everyone to be on the same page and not have things causing problems and then find out that the user forgot or didn't install an update as the reason.

Where the heck is KHFR??? Skyvector doesn't have it, and either does P3D.

I like Simbrief, because normally it suggests a Sid and a Star, and if you fly right after you download the flightplan, before the weather changes, it will work. At least it gives you a waypoint after takeoff and before a star, and then EFB will let you see what sid and star will work for that waypoint. Routefinder , if you check sids and stars, just tells you a SID after takeoff , and a STAR before approach, without telling you a specific Sid and Star name. I just like the way EFB lets you see how each sid and star connects to your flight plan, and even suggests the best choices from the direction you are flying.

Why not use Simbrief for flight plan, and you can import the plan directly into EFB as well as most add on aircraft FMCs and GPS. Takes me about 3 minutes to do a flight plan that way.

Same here/ I think maybe that is the way RVR is reported in Europe, but not sure.

Just installed the new Client update with the fix for AI Traffic. !!!!!!!? Thanks!!!! PS Just did first flight. AI is working perfectly.

I am not an expert in this, but I have a second monitor and run everything on one PC. The average load on the CPU is 1-2%, so frankly I think the benefit to using a second PC with a network is next to nothing.

Any progress being made on the update to fix this issue?

That is great news, and that is what I was trying to figure out. The traffic monitor was showing a large number of AI, so I was assuming that FSUIPC together with the server was working correctly. Glad you found it.

Good idea. Maybe you can answer a question for me, in the FSUIPC Traffic Limiter the first setting is Traffic Limit, and the default is =0 According to the manual when that is set to zero, the limiter is shut off, and that is what mine was set to. So that means any settings in the limiter are not active. Would you agree?

I updated today also, and now have AI traffic that looks perfecty normal. 10 Minutes later during flight , all AI traffic on Client map disappeared. Server shows 16 aircraft that are airborne. I then started up Plan G 3 and I see AI aircraft all over, none showing up on EFB. I think I will just start Plan G when I want to see AI aircraft. I am starting to suspect the traffic limiter that is part of FSUIPC. I started out with plenty of AI on EFB, as I got away from departure airport, AI traffic disappeared. As I got close to arrival airport, traffic appeared again. I think I am going to disable the limiter on the next flight and see what happens. .

It seems on this thread that there are three other users having the exact same problem as I am having, at the exact same time. Tparker1989 and Rwalls and Nbillo all in a few posts above this one. So that makes 4 of us seeing the same symptom. Normal amount of AI displayed, until 2 days ago, nothing else changed in the sim, and suddenly almost no AI is displayed immediately after an update of server and client. Why would we all have the same exact problem, caused by something other than the last update when it all started? I have beta tested several products through the years, and to me, this would be like 4 beta testers reporting the exact same problem after an update.

I wish they would make the previous version of EFB before the last update, available for download.

I looked at the FSUIPC settings in my paid version just now. There is a setting for TCAS limit which was at 40 and another setting for AI limit which was at 50. By toggling the TCAS limit from 40 to 0 ( which is unlimited) I could get AI aircraft to appear where there were none before. I didn't see the same effect for AI limit have the same effect. So apparently the AI would only show in EFB, with my original default setting of TCAS limit of 40, if the AI was within 40 miles, otherwise nothing. I had not changed anything ever in these FSUIPC settings for years , and I had many AI aircraft showing up as recently as 2 days ago in EFB, so I am not sure if this is a solution or not. Going to fly a couple of flights tomorrow and see if my AI volume returns to what it was 2 days ago. . The bottom line is something happened in the last update that changed the amount of AI traffic I was seeing drastically.

Wasn't there some kind of traffic update in the last couple of days for IVAO? Could that have changed something for Offline traffic. ? My guess is if I could somehow install the previous version of Client and Server, my AI traffic which was working very well with it , would return. (#70 Client and #53 server.)

OK, the AI traffic display in EFB is definetly not working. I just took off from KATL, and saw no AI traffic at all except on the ground. I looked at the Traffic Monitor in the server and it shows 4 airborne aircraft, of which I see none of them. It also shows about 50 aircraft on the ground. Now I fired up Plan G3, because it displays AZI traffic too. Plan G shows me about 13 airborne aircraft. After 5 minutes of flying south away from KATL, on AI is showing. 25 minutes into flight, Plan G3 is showing me 11 AI airborne aircraft. EFB, zero.

I agree, I had all kinds of AI traffic before this last update. Client Build 71 Server 54. Now I am lucky if I see one aircraft in the air. P3D version 3.4 My Traffic 6.

This morning I am not seeing any AI aircraft either. I see them on the ground at departure airport. Flying off line and I see them in the Traffic monitor, and my ATC program talks to them, but nothing on the moving map. I have altitudes set for 22000 below and 9000 above, cursing at 35000 feet. 10 Minutes later. Some AI popped up. I wonder if this has something to do with the FSUIPC AI traffic limiter that I use. I will have to look at the settings after this flight.

i have looked in the manual and must have missed this somehow. Where is the transistion altitude displayed for arrival and departure airports?

If I want to open a browser or look at a file, ( which I do often while flying) I just open it,. Don't' understand why it is useful to have it open in EFB???? It's only a click of the mouse....!!!!

Reinstalling Client was the only solution, no other way to get it to update, unless you have a way, if this happens again.
