Dataprovider not starting

Without changing anything all of a sudden I got the following error message when starting the dataprovider; display is on a 2nd PC.

 

Read user settings. Unknown type found.

I did a system restore but even this didn't help.

Looks like some files maybe corrupted, may I suggest an unistall redownload and reinstall.

Before a total reinstall, try this:

 

Find your \Documents\AivlaSoft\EFB\Settings\DataProvider_UserSettings.bin file and rename it - add a ".back" extension or something.

 

Then restart your DataProvider and allow it to rebuild your settings file. Then edit it, etc.

 

Urs would know more about what's happening at the failure point.

could you please send me the following two files

 

"... \Documents\AivlaSoft\EFB\Settings\DataProvider_UserSettings.bin" and

"... \Documents\AivlaSoft\EFB\Settings\DataProvider_UserSettings_current.bak"

 

and all the logfiles (Windows Start Menu > All Programs > AivlaSoft > EFB > Logfiles) from the DataProviders computer ...

Good morning,

thank you very much for the prompt answer. Somehow the bin-file was changed to a media player file. I did as Travis proposed and here we go, everything is working.
