flightplan into fsx

Recommended Posts

Before the reinstall from fsx EFB flight plan shows in fsx after activate .Now it don`t , everything ells is working properly between fsx and data provider and display on remote. The flight plan that comes to fsx is prvpos-KGBD.When I load the right FP via fsx flight planner it shows ok but as soon as I change the route in the display ,ea a dct , and activate the ppos-KGDB is back. And I have to reload the FP again via fsx flight planner.

this is my fsx plans path. standard path so nothing wrong with it.

The thing is that efb communicate with fsx on a good way also the ATC frequenty changes work the via remote display unit .

but when i save and activate the flightplan in the display unit( kmfr-kfbi) I get the right FP in the diplayunit and a request for airport kmfr and kfbi in the dataprovider.

when FSX is running and the AC on KMFR airport I activatethe FP and data provider loading FP in garmin GPS.

But in gps unit shows PRVPOS-KGBD so i activate kfmr-kfbi to fsx and [prvpos-kgbd loads in fsx but the AC on the appropriate position .

When loading FP via FSX flightplanner the right FP is in the garmin and synchrony with EFB but as soon I update via ,ea arrival and approach and activate again PRVPOS-KGDB is back in the garmin/fsx

just to be sure.

latest efb.

load garmin check t in data .

on both pc`s the same happens after activation flightpath .

is there a possibility that`s something check t or not check t in fsuipc .

this rare behavior starts after a new fresh fsx install. The path name is changed but i changed every thing in the display and databox.

Or is there a ini file somewhere that gives wrong info.?????

Hallo Urs,

would it be helpfull if I make uninstall on both pc`s and than a fresh new install. If I do so what?where have I to delete to be sure it s a clean fresh install . However I think that its not in EFB it acts normal ans synchronize exept the flighplan.

There must be a connection because it changes the fsx flightplan but only in the wrong flightplan .All the other things are working REX en vatsim .

Changing the atc frequentie in the display unit works to fsx and SB4 .Is EFB working with or without fsuipc(payware version with widefs.

Iput a copy from fsuipc ini .

Wil,

EFB has nothing to do with FSUIPC.ini.

If you want to do a proper installation, just run the EFB uninstaller before. The uninstaller is available from either the Windows Menu, or from the Windows Control Panel.

I have made a proper install on both pc`s it did not help.

I have made a search on the pc to find that FP prvpos-klbg but I cannot located it , because its not in the fsx fligtplans and not stored in efb flightplans

dataprovider recieves the fp after activation ,in fsx flightplan the efb current fp its stored en roaming/microsoft/fsx the temporarily fp is the the same as efb current fp .

the garmin AC are used are from carenado fsx .

I have no more options to find out why

Wil,

I cannot reproduce what you have described. It works properly here. But I can describe which steps are performed by the DisplayUnit and the DataProvider, maybe this little description helps to figure out why it doesn't work on your system.

1) Folder for FSX flight plans:

There's only one folder which is relevant: C:\Users\[username]\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files

It might be that the name "Flight Simulator X Files" is different depending on the operating system language.

2) Settings

Only the settings on the DataProvider's side are relevant: Tab "Simulators", set the folder for the flight plans according to 1) and tick the check box below "Load / update Garmin GPS ..."

3) Activate a flight plan

Whenever you press the button "Activate" from the RouteSetup dialog, EFB DisplayUnit sends the flight plan to the DataProvider which creates a file named "EFB_current_garmin.pln" and saves that file into the flight plans folder (see 1) and 2)).

Then this flight plan will be loaded into the Garmin GPS system.

4) Change flight plan

If you change the already activated route (e.g. selecting a Direct-TO waypoint), EFB again creates a new flight plan using the aircraft's present position (PRVPOS) as the first waypoint and then appends all the remaining waypoints from the flight plan. This new flight plan overwrites the previous "EFB_current_garmin.pln" and then the flight plan will loaded into the Garmin GPS again.

That's all, nothing more and nothing less.

@all,

Maybe there are other users of EFB who have experienced this behavior? Thanks for coming in ...

I`m also run out off idea`s .

ok lats described how i start up and activate efb fp.

on fsx start up there is nothing inthe fsx garmin.

startup efb on fsx pc

startup efb on remote pc

I make the FP in efb , save and activate.

data provider receives FP from remote display unit.

efb current fp found in fsx flihgtplan map .

than the fsx garmin shows PRVPOS-KGBD

Wil,

can you create a screenshot where I can see all the folders below "C:\Users\[username]\Documents" on your DataProvider's computer?

And can you please send me a) the settings files (DataProvider_UserSettings.bin) and B) all logfiles from the DataProvider (Folder: "C:\Users\[username]\Documents\AivlaSoft\EFB\Logfiles") to support@aivlasoft.com. Thanks.

I gonna make a fresh install. What / where I have to delete previous settings , beside the common uninstall . Just to be sure that nothing is left from the problems I have .

Wil,

when you run the uninstaller, it will remove all files which came with the installer, except the license file and some of the user files. If you want to be sure that no settings will "survive", just manually delete the following folder and its content: C:\Users\[username]\Documents\AivlaSoft\EFB\Settings

the fms from the majestic dash did not change.

EFB will not automatically put a flight plan into the Majestic FMC as far as I know, only aircraft that support the default MSFS GPS system will work with this automated process. Most FMC's require YOU the pilot to input the flight plan or at least load/import the plan into it and only IF EFB supports exporting plans to the aircraft in question.

Wil,

I did not receive your email yet.

It's like Andy explained absolutely right, EFB cannot automatically load a flight plan into any FMC of any third party aircraft.

I did a fresh clean instal deleted everything I found from efb/aivlasoft. It did not help

.

the data has fsx connected and simconnect is active , connection from remote display accepted.

making FP save in fsx pc documents/flightsimulator X files.

activate dataprovider receives new FP ea kfbi-kmfr and gpsmap v290 from carenado piper shows prvpos-kgbd .

with the AC on ground at KFBI.

put the FP from ffsx flightplanner its ojk in gps map after activating in displlay unit on remote or diplay unit on fsx pc (it makes no difference) gaain prvpos-kgbd.

I`m beaten there no options i can think of ,is there anything in appdata folder from fsx or efb that could do this

i have communicate with Pete dowson if there is a possibility that fsuipc settings blocks flightplan changes made from 3party addons.

the answer was clear , no way,efb dos`nt work with fsuipc.

i have try`d everything i know.

including clean install, removing all i could find from efb. but the weary fp that shows in the garmin , after activating efb fp still remains .:cry:

i don`t believe its a efb issue because everything works good between display unit and data provider.

the only other route-planners i use is fsbuild and fsc9.

i give it up and gonna wait for efb2

regards and thx for trying to solve the problem

I`m now found out that the fsx flightdata base or if this separate the garmin database is corrupt.I always fly online ,so I never use the fsx flightplanner .Because i try`d a new AC I made a trip with fsx flightplanner. I mae a FP ans load it in fsx , Fsx put me on the right place in the USA and the garmin and Fsx map somewhere inn Africa.

Has the garmin his own database??? Can i recover without changing everything in the fsx settings ,Because al the other progs as widefs, simconnect working correct .

Hi Wil,

I've been away for a while, so I'm only now catching up on recent threads....

EFB works perfectly with FSUIPC. IT always has, and always will....

EFB will only put the current flight plan into an aircraft that uses the default GPS engine. If you're using a third party aircraft that has its own FMS, then you need to export the EFB route to one of the formats that EFB recognizes. (The Majestic Q400 - despite being a great aircraft - has an FMS format that I have not been able to adapt to.)

Are you still having your problem? PRVPOS in the EFB-exclusive indicator for "Previous Position" which tells me that you should be implementing this in-flight for your default GPS-driven aircraft.

If you were sitting at KMCI, wanting to fly to KGBD, then your EFB flight plan in your GPS would be KMCI-KGBD. PRVPOS is only used when you are starting or changing a flight while in the air, so if you generate a route after taking off from KMCI, your GPS flight plan would be "PREVPOS-KGBD".

If you were to PM me one of your flight plan files, I would be happy to pick it apart and tell you what I see.

It takes a long time but the problem is solved.Reading a post about reinstal EFB and removing all EFB/aivlasoft maps before reinstall.I did a deep search for both my PC`s (fsx and remote) on efb and fsx stored flightplans and deleted them all. And surprise !!!!!!!!!!! now the current efb flplan shows up into the garmin and reload with the changes are made in flight.

I know I have don this before so I don't know what´s the difference with this time.

Thx to all members who try´d to find a solution for my problem its for shore it was not EFB related. Most likely a program for fsx .that I try´d .left this strange route but ho cares its solved :D
