OK, thanks guys for your input. Maybe I'll give that ADE a spin and see if I can fix the issue in the way you suggest or otherwise I'll just let this one be since I like I said previously don't fly that much to this airport so it's really not a big deal. Will let you know if I manage to fix it.

Wow, thanks Travis - that's a great tip and an 'Easter egg' I didn't know about! Just tried this and now I clearly see why the ground chart for LGSR in EFB doesn't match the actual scenery and what's used by GSX and AES. For some reason EFB doesn't use the correct BGL but instead a standard FSX BGL as seen in the screenshot below. Any idea why EFB uses this default FSX BGL for LGSR rather than the correct one?

Ok, maybe I'll try that or maybe I'll just ignore this issue sinceI don't fly to this airport that often anyway.

OK, so I just did a test and below is the result. Here's what it looks like in FSX when I'm parked at Parking spot 1 And this is what it looks like in GSX (the name of the AFCAD) And this is what it looks like in EFB looking at the airport ground chart

I don't have My Traffic or any other addons installed that I can think of that would include an AFCAD for Santorini other than the one that comes with the actual addon but I'll have a look what AFCAD is used and report back here.

This Santorini X scenery from Aerosoft doesn't seem to be the best one when it comes to compatibility with EFB. I had issues before with one of the runways and now I noticed another thing that doesn't work the way it should with this scenery. For various ground services I use both FSDT GSX and Aerosoft AES and looking at the airport ground chart for Santorini X in EFB the location of the parking spots doesn't match the scenery in FSX and also what GSX and AES expect. I have of course run the FSX scenery update in the DP after installing the scenery and I also made sure there's nothing in SceneryExclude.txt that would stop EFB from recognizing the scenery correctly. Any idea what might cause an issue like this where the parking spots/gates don't end up in the correct location on the EFB airport ground chart?

Always equally nice seeing these type of posts where someone not because he/she needs something but only to share their appreciation writes a post like this, I wish there were more people with this type of mind and I echo every word in the post...Aivlasoft's customer care is really top-notch!!

I told you it was me doing something wrong I was absolutely sure I had everything setup correctly but sure enough the shortcut to the Runways.txt file pointed to the file on the computer where I have the DU installed and not the DP. After removing the LEMH references from the correct Runways.txt file (on the computer where I have the DP and FSX installed) the problem seems to be fixed. Thanks Travis, just tried what you suggest but I must be doing something wrong because what I wrote in my initial post is still true after doing this. 19L is still greyed out looking at the arrivals and looking at the approaches all are still greyed out except for 01R. What I did was to first remove all references to LEMH from Runways.txt found here C:\Users\Richard\Documents\AivlaSoft\EFB\UserData\ and save the file and then I both updated the FSX scenery data in EFB's Data Provider (just to make sure) and reset the airport scenery cache from the EFB DU.

Thanks for your reply. You're correct I'm using 3rd party scenery and in my case the scenery is Aerosoft Menorca. I had issues with some other Aerosoft airports in the past and so far they haven't had anything against trying to fix issues yourself if you can so I will try to locate the bgl file and send it over to you and maybe you can then find out what's is causing the runways to be greyed out. Should also mention that I have of course already ran the FSX scenery update in the EFB Data Provider and I have also clicked the 'Reset airport data cache' button in EFB Display Unit.

Sometimes when I'm about to select an arrival and approach some of the runways are greyed out and can't be selected, why is this? Now for example I'm flying ESSA-LEMH and there are two runways at LEMH 01L-19R and 01R-19L but looking in EFB and trying to select an arrival and approach 19L is greyed out looking at the arrivals and when looking at the approaches all runways are greyed out except for 01R. I have checked the LEMH.txt file and as far as I can tell everything looks correct in there so I don't really understand why EFB won't let me choose the arrival and approach I want? I'm using the latest AIRAC cycle 1311.

I'm happy to tell you a just managed to fix the problem myself No idea what was wrong but what I did was to start FSX and then reorder the sceneries closest to the area where EFB gave this error (Area.146) and after that EFB passed the update without any problems. I then tried reordering the sceneries back to their original locations and did another scenery update in EFB and still no problems so appearently something was corrupt in the scenery.cfg file which was fixed by doing this little exercise. All good again in other words

I've just reinstalled both Windows and FSX after a hardware upgrade and now with all my addon sceneries installed I thought it was time to do a FSX scenery update in EFB but when I run the scenery update it stops at the same time every time with the below error message. I've checked my scenery.cfg file and the area where it stops in particular but I can't see anything wrong. No, I'm flying the 737NGX exclusively so I don't think it's related to what aircraft you're flying. Over at FSGRW'S forum it was suggested it might be a port issue and that I should try changing the port so I'm now using port 12500 instead of the default port (12000) and after the first flight I haven't seen the issue again but I still doubt the port was the real culprit since FSGRW and EFB use completely different ports already from start. Will have to do more testing.

Had it confirmed over at FSGRW'S forum I'm not the only one with this problem so hopefully they'll be able to find out what is causing this conflict with EFB in the latest version of their client.

I can now add that I'm no longer sure if it's the Vatsim connection exclusively that causes EFB to sometimes become very "sluggish" becasuse I just experienced the same thing when going from the Progress window to Route and then back to Progress again which had EFB freeze for maybe 15-20 seconds before it went back to normal and took me to the Progress window. This is purely a guess on my side but I wonder if this could have anything to do with EFB in some way conflicting with FS Global Real Weather's "FSGRW FSUIPC-Bridge" or vice versa since when I think about it have only seen this after updating the FSGRW FSUIPC-Bridge to the latest builds...first build #12 and now the most current #14. I just tried quitting FSGRW FSUIPC-Bridge and without that running on my FSX computer EFB behaves 100% as normal with no delays anywhere, not when I start/stop the Vatsim online data feed nor when I jump between the different EFB windows like Progress, Route etc. Still can't say for sure though since this issue doesn't happen all the time. I will post a question about this also over at FS Global Real Weather's support forum and see what they have to say about it.

Thanks for the update Urs, I'm really looking forward to it whenever it's finished. I would consider EFB one of my absolute favourite addons and now being used to it I wouldn't fly without it !!

The last couple of days I've noticed it takes much longer than usual when enabling Vatsim in the Route setup section of EFB. Normally this will only take a couple of seconds but now I've seen maybe 30 seconds or so and the EFB title bar has reported 'Not responding' a couple of times. Could this have anything to do with the recent problems Vatsim had or is it something else...?

That's it. Just ignore the warning, it only tells you that EFB could not find the runways 16R and 34L because they are not existing. I did a look into the navigation procedures file LGSR.txt and there are also no procedures for these two runways. EFB does not only read the LGSR.txt file, there are other references to these two runways in the file "wpnavapt.txt". I did not test it, but I'm pretty sure that the warning will disappear if you remove the runways from both files. If you do so, please do not forget to run the scenery update after you have removed the lines. Thanks Urs, since writing my last post here I learned I also need to change/remove the runway entries in the wpnavapt.txt file and I did try that and the warning went away. However using this method I'll have to do this every time I install a new AIRAC cycle so I decided to just learn to live with this warning message for this specific airport...no big deal

Did a manual search but I couldn't find any duplicate AFCAD for LGSR and fact is I don't think that is the problem here but more that the Navdata file LGSR.txt lists 16R/34L as active runways although in reality (and in FSX) the only active runway is 16L/34R. The 16R/34L only serves as a taxiway so the way I see it the problem really is how (if possible) to tell EFB that what it reads in the LGSR.txt file is not true. I actually tried modifying the LGSR.txt file myself removing any references to 16R/34L but still same problem and also did another FSX Scenery Update in EFB. Not sure if that makes any difference when you're modifying SID/STAR files but thought at least it wouldn't do any harm but still same problem. This surprised me a bit though because I can't understand where EFB will get the 16R/34L info from when I removed those references from the LGSR.txt file. Maybe I need to do something else to have EFB refresh it's info for LGSR...? This is what the data provider window looks like when I process a route to LGSR
