I'm also still searching for the TOD display with no luck.

For this part see the User Guide "Client", chapter 8.3 Vertical Guidance. Top Of Descent and Vertical Guidance are controlled from within the A/C profile. See also User Guide "Client", chapter 12.2 Profiles Editor..

    Hello
Thank you for the good work.
    I have the following problem:
I did not start Prepar3D. I load a flight plan via FPL and then go to DEP under RSB and can indeed select the SID but not add to the flight plan. "Set FPL" is grayed out. Only when I start Prepar3D and select the airport can I add the SID to the flight plan. Is this an error or deliberately chosen?
    Greeting
    Stephan

My guess is that at your first attempt the A/C in EFB v2 (last position) was not on ground. This will prevent a SID/STAR from being loaded into a Flightplan. When you started the Simulator, the A/C was repositioned on ground and thus the procedure selection was enabled.

Sorry to come back to this, but I am having problems finding the tracks as well.

I've ticked all the boxes as above, installed 1807 navdata, can create a flightplan with PPFX or Simbrief and load this correctly, including track waypoints as per the flightplan created.

What I can't see/find however are the available tracks in the Utilities window. How do I download the tracks into the system?

Otherwise no problem with this great program.

    Peter

If all necessary settings are correct, the tracks will be downloaded and updated automatically. You don't have to do anything. You will see the tracks in the "Utils" Window under the tab "Organized Tracks". If the tracks are active, they are also depicted on the World Map. However be aware of the various Track Systems. There are times where no tracks are open/active - e.g. at the time I am writing this, no NAT Track is active thus no tracks are depicted on the Worlds Map.

    Hi

having the same problem, running on single pc, antvirus=off, uac=off, firewall=off.

installation was fine and running with airac 1802 at first start=OK

then used navigraph for airac 1807 and "loading database files (airports)" loading for ever (2hrs+)

Is navigraph airac(1807) sync with EFB V 2

    Thanks

If the buzzer sounds and the warning appears on the Client, there is obviously something wrong. In such cases it is inevitable that we see the respective logfiles. Easiest way is to create those from the Win Start menu: AivlaSoft -> EFB2 Create support files.

  5. Really looks a bit strange. I tried to reproduce on a similar flight but no chance. The procedure panels always pop up. On the second screenshot however something seems to be mixed up in waypoint sequencing. The active wayponts it reported to be RES VOR (Reus) with a position of 31.9 NM on BRG 255° which is completely off to the actual A/C position. But even with that with LEBL as the active (Destination) airport the Procedure Panels should pop up as soon as you open the Procedure Window. At the moment I'm out of ideas what has happened here. Nevertheless don't re-install the software as this will not solve the issue anyway. The main proble is whenever we are unable to reproduce a certain situation, it becomes really difficult to find the reason... I'll keep on investigating.

    Thanks for explanation Urs.

However I cannot see ATC on VATSIM on map...

    Best,

    Arek

You need to activate the respective map option (button O/BND in the rightmost lower corner), described in the Client User Guide para 7.1.4 Miscellaneous...

    Hi,

I did my first flight now with the new EFB v2 and I really like it already :) Great job! Congratulations!

The only thing I am a bit confused is the Taxi feature.

As I hopefully understand the manual correctly, it shows you automaticly the fastes way to the active, selected DEP runway BUT there is the posibility to "limit" the taxi way, right?

Example, that I am not wrong with my thinking:

LSZH, active Runway 28 like in the manual. I can enter "INNER" in the text and the tool should change the taxiway via K + A, right?

    ...

Just to understand that feature a bit better!

    Thanks

The Taxi Feature is still considered to be in an experimental state. Especially when it comes to use an User specified taxiroute. This is a field that we are just not able to make it work correctly under all circumstances whereas the direct routes work more or less satisfactorily. To be honest, we were tempted to discard the selectable taxiways for that very reason, but decided to leave it as it is for the moment. Just keep in mind that only the direct taxiroutes are working reliably, as long as the BGL's provide the necessary information.

  8. I'm not sure what we are talking about. The Procedure Panel ALWAYS pops up as soon as an approach is selected. If you are inflight on a Flightplan however it will only pop up when you are inside a specified distance (alongtrack) from your destination. There is no way o activate or deactivate this Procedure Panel. You can only hide it by clicking the green "Apporach" Label.

Got it fixed. I basically uninstalled and reinstalled and installed the navigraph with the program. After installing..I just used the Navigraph FMS Manager and rescanned the hard drive..it found v2.0 and installed that way and then updated inside the server and we are good to go. I had deleted the original navigraph and it took out the 3 bin files and the other stuff needed to run properly. I should be so ashamed for being in a hurry....lol

    Thanks,

    Bob M.

Good to hear that you were able to fix it. Thanks for your report.

    Good Morning,

    Love the new version !

Just a question on the Flight Plan folder in server settings:

Quickstart document states to leave this field empty and it will automatically populate.

Mine is still blank? Have I missed something? Should I go ahead and browse to the correct path and then save?

    Thanks,

    Jimmy Mac

Have you started the simulator with the Server running? That's the moment where this field is getting populated. It needs a connection being established between Server and Simulator.

    Hi mates!

Do you know how to activate the Vertical Aproach Profile Window?

Once I've selected the Arrival Airport, the Star, the aproach, I can't see the aproach window. Am I missing anything?

    Thanks in advance!

As soon as you select an approach, the Procedure Panel pops up, unless you have it sent to the "bottom line" by selecting the green Approach tab. the latter however should always be visible and allows restoring theProcedure Panel..

    Talking about this window, right?

I have had the same problem as AndreK and have managed to change the settings in the Client following your guidance given.

However I do not know how to get to the settings in the Server to insert the Active Sky.

Can someone provide a step by step guidance

    Thanks in advance.

    Leslie

    - Open the Server to show the server window on the desktop

    - Click the "System" dropdown menu

    - Click "Settings and more"

    - Click the "Settings" button

it should now open on the tab of your Simulator, showing a few input windows for various paths

    - at the "ActiveSky" line select the button to the far right and go to the path where ActiveSky puts his "current_wx_snapshot.txt" fiile

    - select this file and close the window by pressing "Ok" and you're done.

If you have use the standard installation path for your ActiveSky, it will be in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Hifi\AS_P3Dv4\Weather\current_wx_snapshot.txt

Hello....Yippeee...I bought it :) discount and every thing.

One question..lol...I am trying to update airac. Navigraph. I actually deleted the contents of the Navigraph FMS Data folder that you supplied with the program. I have downloaded the 1807 and the client see the airac version 1807 but on the server side in the databuilder it still lists it 1802 or whatever and it says no Airac data found in folder (\\UNC1RLM1\Documents\AivlaSoft\EFB2\Server\AIRAC\Navigraph FMS Data) but the NavData; SidStars and the index file for 1807 are there but I have a bright yellow blocked area where DataBuilder doesn't see the airac?

Sorry for wording..hope you get my point. Issues are on the Server..not Client.

    Thanks,

    BobM.

    Hi Bob,

Sorry to say it directly: don't copy files around, if you don't know EXACTLY what you are doing....? What I'm reading leads me to the assumption that you messed up with the AIRAC and database installation. If you need to update to the newest AIRAC cycle you need to use the download from either Navigraph or NavDataPro. These download tools will place the necessary files into the proper paths. thereafter you need to start the Server. It will tell you that it has found a new AIRAC cycle and will start the DatabaseBuilder. That's the procedure to follow when updating an AIRAC cycle. Do not manually copy any files to any location!

AIRAC and Database Updates are ALWAYS done on the Server's side, never on the Client's. The required files will be transferred to the Client upon next start.

As for the Navigraph AIRAC I'm not sure actually, whether this is already available in correct form. We have contradictory information on that subject. We might need a confirmation first from Navigraph. Sorry for this confusion, but thats entirely out of our hands.

Edit: latest news from Navigraph are that it should be available now. See here: https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/2854-unable-to-update-navigraph-airac/?do=findComment&comment=17502

    Hi,

with efb1 it was possible to automatically create / adjust a garmin gps flight plan.

After activating a flightplan in efb, it was automatically available in the p3d, as well as a weather tool (As).

Is there no longer in version 2, or did I miss something?

    Regards

    Jens

Yes, of course it is, however this option has been transferred into the aircraft profiles to make it available individually for each aircraft (Add-ons with highly sophisticated FMC's do not need this function). You can check it for each A/C in question by opening the profile and look under options, whether the option "Forward flight plan" is checked. For all A/C using the default GPS this option is checked by default.

For more details about this see User Guide for the Client, Section 12.2.8 "Options"

I got a bit over excited and tried to install the program during the middle of a long haul flight. To get it to work, I did not have to reboot my computer however. I was running Navigraph Simlink, and after my flight finished, I closed off simlink and the EFB started normally.

Thanks for the update. As I mentioned we had this error coming up in very rare cases. It is however almost natural to get such an error if your computer is continuously communicating during a Simulator flight. It is never a good idea to install any software while other software ins running...? Great to hear anyway that things could be sorted.

I just need the current AIRAC, then we go......

    Nothing ventured, nothing gained ;-)

    thanks all for replys

    greetings

    ggerolamo

great piece of software, btw :-)

According to Navigraph their FMS Navdata should be avaliable by now. Please see their website... and thanky for the compliments ?!

    Hi.

    Pretty good tool, indeed!

I wonder wether is possible, I know that navdata is from Navigraph and FS9,FSX,P3D, to connect to X-Plane throughout XPUIPC, like any other addons as Fsimcommander is able to connect to X-Plane.

    Did anybody test this matter?

Thanks, and waiting for X-Plane connection.

Yyes, this works partially on a pure coincidence basis, as XPUIPC uses some of the same variables as FSUIPC. But you will also notic, that no position upate is done.
