WebMaximus
Today I noticed in the status bar of the display unit where you see when the last IVAO update was it also says FBS=ON, what does this mean?
GG_Flyer
No idea myself. If your electricals and hydraulics are working, and you're not trailing smoke, I guess all's ok.
jackharpenden
This is also something I'd like to know. I've seen it on so many occasions yet I don't know what its significance is. Jack
aivlasoft
Hi, FBS means "Fall back service". It's a service that is mainly implemented for user's convenience. If the connection to the AivlaSoft online data server breaks (this can happen due to maintenance on the server), EFB tries to get online data from the servers at VATSIM or IVAO. If FBS is on, every 5 minutes it then tries to get back to the AivlaSoft server. Once the service can re-connect to the AivlaSoft server the indication FBS=ON disappears.
