TheHenstridgeFlyer
Hi guys, Seems to be a problem with EGSS and runway 22/04, EFB now has 04C/22C and cannot find any SIDS/STARS reporting "No procedures available due to 'unknown reason'". I think this has to do with the resurfacing work that starts on the 8th of January 2023. 22C/04C is 22/04, can we have the SIDS and STARS back please... aivlasoft
If 04C/22C is a temporary renaming of the runway identifiers in the AIRAC cycle, then EFB cannot find the relevant SIDs, STARs and Approaches for a certain runway because internally (in the underlying BGL-file) it is still having the identifiers 04/22. Due to several reasons the runway identifiers in the AIRAC cycle data must match the runway identifiers of the MSFS airport scenery file. As long as there is a mismatch between them, procedures cannot be assigned to the proper runway.
srcooke
Hello Urs, For me this is occurring in P3Dv5 where the runways are listed as 04/22 in the afcad. The Navigraph airac data for other addons contains the runway entries for 04/22 and 04C/22C with SID/STAR and all approaches. EFB however only lists runway 04C/22C. Not entirely true. There are no SID's for RWY 04C/22C in the Navigraph Cycle 2213, at least not to my last information based on this AIRAC Cycle. srcooke
Apologies Urs you are correct, SID's are only available for the primary 04/22 runways. I guess we'll see in the NOTAM's at the time whether these procedures are suspended as there i s no reference in the AIP Supplement.

This might be a result of the automatic assigning of simulator runways to AIRAC runways. You can check this in the file 'runwayMappings_P3Dv5-NG.txt', which is located in 'C:\Users\<username>\Documents\AivlaSoft\EFB2\Server\Logfiles'. To make a temporary fixed assignment you can add such in the DataBuilder's "Enhance / Update Runways" tab. For details please see the manual "4 EN Database.pdf", chapter 2.5. Do not forget to rebuild the database after adding a fixed assignment, and also do not forget to remove it whenever the resurfacing in r/w is done. srcooke
Mapping 04 to 04 and 22 to 22 works, thanks Urs. This is probably the best option as the works are not 24/7 with a shift the runway thresholds at different phases with 04C/22C requiring RNP-Y approaches when active. superstrike03
Hello i have tried changing this (EGSS 04|04 04C|nil 22|22 22C|nil) in the runwayMappings_XP11-NG.txt file. But when i go to update the database it reverts back to this EGSS 04|nil 04C|04 22|nil 22C|22. any advice would be great thank you.
aivlasoft
You don't have to change the 'runwayMappings ...' file. This file is kind of a logfile and provides information about the mappings which have been created. You can easily define fixed mappings in the DatabaseBuilder. Please see the DatabaseBuilder's manual for details.
