How to enter Coordinate Waypoints

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I'm just trying to insert the route of my holiday flight tomorrow (EDDF-KLAX) into the EFB. FlightAware displays:

BIBOS7G BIBOS UZ28 NAPSI UP73 SPY UL602 SUPUR UP1 ROLUM UP13 ASKAM UL7 SUM UM125 GONUT 6400N 01000W 6600N 02000W 6700N 03000W 6800N 04000W 6800N 05000W 6800N 06000W CANEL 6730N 07000W 6600N 08000W 6330N 09000W 5930N 10000W EPTIR YVC J540 LORNA KU12M 4200N 11600W KL36K HEC RIIVR2

I have tried

EDDF SID BIBOS UZ28 NAPSI UP73 SPY UL602 SUPUR UP1 ROLUM UP13 ASKAM UL7 SUM UM125 GONUT 6400N 01000W 6600N 02000W 6700N 03000W 6800N 04000W 6800N 05000W 6800N 06000W CANEL 6730N 07000W 6600N 08000W 6330N 09000W 5930N 10000W EPTIR YVC J540 LORNA KU12M 4200N 11600W KL36K HEC STAR KLAX

and various similar alternatives, but EFB does not seem to understand the coordinate waypoints (e.g. "5930N 10000W"). How would I enter these?

Best regards

Cyrano

Cyrano,

I'm sorry, but this feature is not yet implemented in EFB. Will put it onto the list.

Enjoy your holiday nevertheless 8-)

Hello,

Yes, to be able to insert/modify/delete waypoints and plot them on the EFB moving-map with their geo coordinates is just a MUST.

Did you ever cross the pond ? For sure you did ! and you know NAT routes are provided with Lat/lon waypoints to be inserted in your preferred Nav system. As a Concordia VA member using INS nav flying SST, I need to plot all the Concorde special tracks SM,SN,SO and SP over the Atlantic.

Hope SP3 will soon implement this essential feature !!
