Guest William
Had a net exception this morning (details are in the zip file as will not let me upload a naked text document). FSX collapsed for some reason and I restarted with a file load of a FSUIPC save. What the exception text shows is a load of gobbledegook to me but hopefully means something to you. Feel free to ask for more information.
wycliffe
Looks like the old HRESULT error message. You can download .net4 from microsoft and reinstall that. That should clear the problem. I'm sure Urs will respond witha full and complete answer. Wycliffe
aivlasoft
William, I can only say that this exception has been raised by FSX. SimConnect forwards it to EFB and EFB shows it. Unfortunately this is out of my responsibility and I can't help. Please read also here: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=
GG_Flyer
William, I can only echo what Urs is saying. FSX/Simconnect crashed and as a result EFB is unable to talk with FSX and logs the crash by throwing an exception. At this point all that can be done is restart FSX and EFB. Guest William
Restarted both and EFB would not update - stayed in the same position as when crashed.
GG_Flyer
William, More details please. By "restarted" are you resuming from a saved flight or starting a new flight? By "EFB would not update" do you mean "EFB does not activate the moving map" or "the 'connect' icon in the EFB clock will not turn green?" ... or something else that I'm missing?? Guest William
Resumed from a saved flight. EFB did not connect back - green light on but no movement on screen. Just had another one but different circumstances. Flying OEJN SENG1E PMA G674 GAS B417 BONIM ALRUT RARVE DME08 OKBK Landing 33L - just as the ground screen came on landing there was a message on the screen about location and degrees parameters but had to ignore as I needed to finish the tour flight. The ground screen had a large diagonal red cross over the whole screen. If I ever get some spare time I will do the flight again otherwise I will be back in the area in due course for the Kuwait divisional IFR tour. I am really hoping I do not need to reinstall everything.
