Airport Layout

Hi,

I have a question:

The airport scenery in P3Dv4 in NZAA (Auckland, New Zealand) shows 2 (two) parallel runways next to each other. The airport layout in EFB2 shows a single runway with some disconnected taxiways leading to the non existent runway? A actual photograph shows 2 parallel runways with the terminal in-between. No addons, stock scenery.

Doesn't EFB2 read the scenery files of P3Dv4?

Thanks for clarification

Jürgen,

This is one of the rare cases where ven the stock RWY 05L/23R is declared closed by not allowing take-off and landing in both directions (all RWY flags are set to FALSE) This RWY is already closed for quite some time and is declared TWY A, see the NZAA Auckland Ground chart form the New Zealand AIP. The Lockheed Martin people made it the simple way by just leaving the RWY where it is but closed it by setting all Flags to FALSE.

EFB does not depict RWYs that are delared closed in both directions for take-off and landing. The reason is described here: https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/3005-afcad/ If you absolutely need the closed runway in the layout there is still the possibility to create an AFCAD file for that section and use it according to the description.

Jürgen,

I have created a NZAA.BGL for the Stock NZAA Airport. You can follow the procedure described here: https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/3005-afcad/  by downloading and unzipping this file into the mentioned directory. Be aware that this is not reflecting tha actual state of NZAA airport, it just gives you the same (wrong) airport layout that P3D v4 is using...? For comparison see also Google Earth view of NZAA Airport.
