Timonier
Hello Urs, There's a new software named FsAerodata here : https://www.fsaerodata.com/ I've installed this software on my PC and I'm now confronted with a lot of errors when I run AivlaSoft Dataprovider and, inside Data, the Simulator scenery data update. (see screenshot in attach) Could you kindly check the possibility to integrate the results of this software inside EFB ? Many thanks in advance and Best Regards from Belgium. aivlasoft
Hi Marc, I fear that your request cannot be implemented. It would require a total redesign of internal structures, because EFB is designed to use external navigation data from either Aerosoft or Navigraph, but not the FS-internal procedures data from the BGL files. agutz
Hi Marc and Urs, just to let you know that FsAerodata released an update compatible with Aivlasoft's EFB. They have a new installer which I tested with their AIRAC 1613 and didn't find any problems with EFB.
Timonier
Sorry Andreas but the problem of this compatibility is not resolved. Regards Marc
aivlasoft
@ all, EFB does not read the procedures from the *.bgl files, only from either Navigraph or Aerosoft files. If FsAerodata is updating the navaids in the *.bgl files, then this will have an impact on EFB, but not the procedures.
agutz
Hi Marc, you didn't specify what " the problem of this compatibility" is. I don't know if you use the same installer. Maybe the one I got is a beta.I don't see any problems with EFB. FSAerodata creates 2 new items in FSX senery library: FSAD_Approaches and FSAD_Navaids.Perhaps you get in touch with Jose Rubio at support@fsaerodata.com . Timonier
Hi Andreas, After installed your fsaerodata program and updated the AIRACS open your EFB Data provider and try to update your simulator sceneries and you'll directly understand what's the problem Regards Marc
agutz
Hi Marc (and Happy New Year), this is what I get at the end of Dtataprovider's scenery update.
Timonier
Hello Andreas, Thanks for your wish and also Happy New Year for you and your family. I see you're with FSX and for me it's P3D so I'll check once more tomorrow. Regards Marc
agutz
Hello Marc, So that's why! It looks like FsAerodata doesn't realise you are using P3D or doesn't find the P3D folder in "Drive:\users\yourname\documents\fsaerodata files\navigation data". Inside there should be 2 more folders: PROC and PROC_SIDs. You could check that in "Drive:\users\yourname\documents\fsaerodata files\settings.xml". Timonier
Hello Andreas, First of all thanks for your help. So I've already those two folders (PROC and PROC_SIDs) inside "C:\users\yourname\documents\fsaerodata files\navigation data\P3D\" Hereby my settings.xml. There's perhaps a problem inside : <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <item> <cycle>1613</cycle> <startdate_cycle>08/12/2016</startdate_cycle> <enddate_cycle>04/01/2017</enddate_cycle> <currentCycle>1613</currentCycle> <newCycle>1701</newCycle> <newCycleDate>05/01/2017</newCycleDate> <newCycleReady>False</newCycleReady> <scenery_Cfg_Appr>C:\Users\Marco\Documents\fsAerodata Files\Navigation Data</scenery_Cfg_Appr> <scenery_Cfg_Appr_1>C:\Users\Marco\Documents\fsAerodata Files\Navigation Data\P3D\PROC_SIDs</scenery_Cfg_Appr_1> <scenery_Cfg_Navaids>C:\Users\Marco\Documents\fsAerodata Files\Navigation Data\Navaids</scenery_Cfg_Navaids> <fsx_folder /> <fsx_programdata_folder /> <p3d_folder>D:\P3Dv3\</p3d_folder> <p3d_programdata_folder>C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3</p3d_programdata_folder> <fsxse_folder /> <fsxse_programdata_folder /> <simulator>P3D</simulator> <mode_active>UPDATED</mode_active> <fsx_status>False</fsx_status> <fsxse_status>False</fsxse_status> <p3d_status>True</p3d_status> <log>False</log> <p3dver_last_saved>Prepar3D v3</p3dver_last_saved> <version>1.0.35</version> </item> Regards Marc
agutz
Hi Marc, I don't see any errors, but then I'm not a specialist. What the installer does (should do) is adding two scenery areas: FSAD_Approaches and FSAD_Navaids to your ProgramData folder. If you have something like the Scenery Config Editor for P3D you could check it. I think it's best to contact Jose Rubio at support@fsaerodata.com . Timonier
OK Andreas, I've also those two scenery areas inside my scenery library of P3D. I've also the e-mail address of Jose ... so no problem. Thanks for your different replies. Have a nice day and Best Regards Marc
